today the qualifying groups for the uefa euro 2024 tournament in germany were drawn and there are some interesting duels.
the qualifiers (group c) will see a rematch of the 2021 final between italy and england. group b also features a top duel between the netherlands and world champions france.

after the remaining 3 countries qualified for the tournament yesterday, the group stage looks like this:



as hosts, germany automatically qualifies, so 23 places are up for grabs. the first two teams in each of the ten qualifying groups will earn a ticket to the european championship. the remaining three participants will be determined in the play-offs.

the host cities will then be the stadiums in berlin, cologne, munich, frankfurt, hamburg, dortmund, leipzig, gelsenkirchen, stuttgart and düsseldorf.

Seems that Italy and England can't be separated . It will be interesting to see their games again. As I understand, draw pots were based not on FIFA rankings, but on Nation League. And it made not very ballanced groups. In some groups there is 2 big teams playing like B or C, and there is some groups without any big teams like G and I.
As I understand, Germany will play friendlies during international windows.

I was looking for this topic too, I was going to open it because no one opened it.
Türkiye's group has been very difficult. Croatia and Wales are tough rivals, and next to them, there is Latvia, which is always on the opposite side. Armenia, where we have problems politically is another opponent. In this group, Türkiye can be 1st or 3rd. Only two teams from the group will participate in the tournament. My guess is that Croatia and Türkiye will come out, but Wales has a good chance too. Wales will go into restructuring, after the World Cup Bale no longer plays. That might be a problem for them.
It should be an embarrassment for Türkiye to even draw from Pot 4, but the arrival of Armenia, the weakest team from Pot 3, made us ignore it. We are not in the World Cup. It's a must to advance from this group and participate in Euro 2024.

Turkey getting humiliated by Faroe Islands was not the only upset that happened during the UEFA Nations League this season. England got relegated after finishing last in their group. What about that? France finished at the 3rd place in Group 1. Germany was at the same position in Group 3. Now I don't know whether this is something specific to the UEFA Nations League, or it will repeat with the Euro Cup as well. BTW, Turkey is in the same group as Croatia, Wales, Armenia and Latvia. Maybe this time they will lose to Armenia?

I think Turkey's group will still be a bit tough, with both Wales and Croatia being in the same group with them, but they look like earning the third spot should be an easy fit at the very least.

Most of the other groups looks like we can easily pick the two teams to qualify from them, but as you've stated we could be in for a couple of upsets, Spain on paper seems to have the easiest group, but I don't think Norway and Scotland will be pushovers.

France, Netherlands and Italy, England respective groups also contain some teams capable of causing troubles, I meant teams like North Macedonia, Ukraine and Greece.

Sure about Group E?

Poland and Czech Republic are almost certain to qualify, as the other three teams are not very strong contenders (Moldova, Faroe Islands and Albania). I am not forgetting the victory by Faroe Islands against Turkey. But we can't expect such a small nation to perform consistently against top UEFA teams (Faroe Islands is a country with total population of less than 50,000).

In Group H, Denmark and Finland may qualify. But Slovenia and Northern Ireland are also strong contenders. And finally for Group I,  the battle for second position is going to be triangular, between Romania, Israel and Kosovo.

So it should be in theory but Poland had a lot of difficulties to win against Albania in Albania in the world cup qualifiers and Albania was not in a good performance,now the players have really stepped up their game and maybe we can see some surprises in here.

Although I think it will be an easy group for Poland and Czech Republic as they are really much stronger than the other teams here but hey as you said Faroe Island won against Turkey so anything can happen as the ball is round as they say.Most probably this group is going to be an interesting one for the outsiders.The fact that two teams out of 5 qualifies makes it even harder for the teams.

it looks like Group C will be more exciting to see Italy and England meet there even though I'm sure they will both qualify from Group C, but it's no less interesting to watch in Group B the French and Dutch matches are also interesting to watch, I think I will benefit if make a bet in this event

I'll definitely have to try to get tickets to some of the games. I had forgotten that the 2024 tournament takes place in Germany.

The games in the qualifiers look pretty interesting. Many attractive matches in the various groups. Especially group B with France and the Netherlands and group C with Italy and England should be interesting.

He may retire from international football after the FIFA World Cup of 2022 (although he may persist with club football for some more time). And that will put Portugal in a lot of trouble. Because at this point, Portugal is essentially a one-man army led by Ronaldo. Once he is retired, they will find themselves in trouble. Because none of the younger players (Pedro Neto, João Félix, Gonçalo Ramos, Rafael Leão, Diogo Jota.etc) are capable of filling the vacuum.

Well, I really don't think that CR7 will leave Portugal so quickly, he has a commitment to his son, who will be trying hard to be able to play with his dad, he is just asking him to hold on a little longer to make his dream come true It would be spectacular to see father and son in the same team, I think that if something like this happens, here CR7 shows that he is not only a good father, but that he can make any dream come true, just because of the force of will that has for his son CR7 will be able to hold his Euro and will also be able to play with his son, I think this would be something great and an example to the whole world.

Well, one thing is for sure, not only Portugal but several teams must look for their replacement generation, for me one of them is the same son of CR7, which is something that is noticeable, since he asked him to hold on a little longer to see if I can play alongside him in the Portugal national team, it is something that they both bring, possibly they can make it a reality, as a fan, as a father, I would like to see that, I would like my son to follow in my footsteps and to be able to work with him too in the future.

Ronaldo is currently not playing at all in his club, so it is possible that he will not even play at the World Cup, because the question is what condition he will be in and how ready he will be to play.
It is possible that the Portuguese coach will bring him into the game later, depending on the result of each game.
However, it is obvious to all objective observers that his time has passed and that he is living on his old glory.
I really don't think Portugal will be much weaker without Ronaldo, in fact I think they will do better because they will have a better balanced team, with players who all play both defense and attack and no one has special privileges in the team.

I don't see Russia national team are in the UEFA Euro 2024 group qualifier, seems still get suspend from UEFA can't participants after war conflict with Ukraine, little disappointed because Russia could be one strong national team in  UEFA Euro 2024.
