The Italy vs. England game was a surprising one as the last six games ended with two or less goals. Everyone who bet on three goals or more did the right thing obviously. But indeed when the red card happened I was sure that this is going to be a rough final ten minutes plus overtime. In the past few games between them England usually had more control over the game, more possession and more passes. Even the accuracy often was higher, but this time it was Italy controlling the majority of the game.

Regarding Portugal, well what else did you expect against Liechtenstein? That's not even worth mentioning that Portugal with their squad beat Liechtenstein. Anything else would have been a massive disappointment of course.

Too many Slovakia had so many shots but just couldnt score. Just mad that they didnt win. Also had San Marino vs N.Ireland over 2.5 goals and they dissallowed one goal ,i just cannot believe that match didnt go into 3 or more goals.

In the other match of the group, Northern Macedonia hosted Malta. Macedonia was the heavy favorite before the match. When we looked at the match, we saw that they played a dominant football. Although there were 10 shots in the first half, neither team had a shot on target. In the second half, Macedonia increased the pressure and found 4 hits and 2 goals in 11 shots. The goals came 6 minutes apart.

I think England will finish this group first and Italy will be in second place, so both should have no worries. I don't see Macedonia or Ukraine to qualify. Malta will be the last team here.
The tournament became 24-teams instead of 16 so it's easier to qualify. We probably see all big teams in the tournament.

The Italy - England game was really nice by the way. I enjoyed watching this game and England made it to the victory by 2-1 finally at the end.

But the game was actually balanced about ball possession. Italy actually had so many more passes completed than England in this game. But this was still no hindrance for England to win here. Rice and Kane helped their team get 2-0 ahead already in the first half. After getting hopeful by dropping the score gap to one Italy had a chance. England even got a red card in the 80th minute but still they managed to secure the win. Italy could have been better than this.

The first match of the day in group H was between Kazakhstan and Slovenia. Slovenia was the dominant side in the match. In the first half, Kazakhstan scored with only one shot on target. Slovenia started the second half fast. Slovenia, who equalized the situation by scoring an early goal early in the second half, scored the 2nd goal in 78 minutes and won the match 2-1. Since slovenia dominated the overall match, we can say that the side that played well won.

I agree with you but on the second thought, I think Gareth Southgate  needs to win a trophy for England before he can be praised. There has been an improvement in the England squad upon his arrival an young players has been raised and they are currently in good form now to make his team more solid to face an opponent. Winning against Italy today means so much for the English side because it's been decades since they recorded a win against Italy though they didn't play very well in the second half of the game but I still believe their ability to  score in the first half and then defend their goal till the end of the match makes the team a balance team.

But there never is a guarantee and you only have so much influence when it comes to winning trophies as a national coach. Everyone would now be very happy to be Didier Deschamps and have all the players available that he has available. When you have Mbappe and all those guys it is much easier. England has a good squad now but there never is a guarantee. A coach can still have some great achievements I think. If you reach the semi finals a couple of times during your career as a national coach, that's still something. Or the final, that doesn't mean it was a bad tournament, it is just that nobody will be talking about it in the future.

Maybe is not possible, because when we look at how they can't handle England players in their home, Italy seems to need full motivation to not create the same mistake in the Euro cup 2024. of course, it would be very strange if they don't participate again in 2024. their position is now under Malta, they must win all remaining matches if want to participate on 2024.

England beat Italy by 2-1 margin in their opening Euro 2024 qualifier match. Italy haven't been the powerhouse they once were, and their performance on the day reflected that. It's certainly surprising to see them struggle so much, but it really makes you no wonder what led to their decline. Regardless of Italy's struggles, England managed to do enough to secure the win. I also enjoyed watching how the 3 Lions played. The current talent that England has is truly special, and I believe this is their best chance to win it all. Despite the victory, Jack Grealish missed an easy chance. On a positive note, Harry Kane managed to score yet another penalty and become England's all-time leading scorer. Congrats to him!

About Italy vs England i think Italy performing well even since first half they got several attempts to scores goals but unfortunately no goal for them until end of first half on the other hand England actually didn't gets much opportunities to scores but their players were clever and can take advantages from corner kick and penalty but i have to says England has more ready for this match than Italy and their mentally is very good especially in the last 10 minutes of the second half

Besides Kane and Declan Rice who scores goals and bringing England to earn first 3 points for europe qualification matches i have been notice one player who performing well and that is Bellingham and i have seen he can able to control England game with very well and no wonder if he became an hot commodity for Dortmund because since world cup he has showed good performance with England
