I have told this manytimes. The decision by Fernando Santos to replace Cristiano Ronaldo was not based on merit alone. There was a lot of ego issues between these two. I don't think that anyone can question his commitment now, as he was ready to play this very insignificant match against Liechtenstein for his home country.

The Italy - England game was really nice by the way. I enjoyed watching this game and England made it to the victory by 2-1 finally at the end.

But the game was actually balanced about ball possession. Italy actually had so many more passes completed than England in this game. But this was still no hindrance for England to win here. England even got a red card in the 80th minute but still they managed to secure the win. Italy could have been better than this.

I was really upset that I couldn't watch this big game because I fell asleep early. I think Italy will be able to win at home, but it seems that England is still strong enough for Italy in European competition. At 38 years of age, he is still capable of showing extraordinary qualities. what always amazes me with Cristiano Ronaldo is that he always manages to execute a final kick into a goal. and this year I have witnessed 2 extraordinary free kicks that have been scored by cristiano Ronaldo's kick, namely at Al-Nassr and recently in the Portugal vs Liechtenstein match. I don't like France team because they always beat my country (Croatia) but I agree that they are favorites in this game. As a runner up in the World Cup I would say that they are pretty big favorite and the bookies think that also. Odds are 1.7 on France winning and 4.5 on Netherlands. It is too early to think about his "soccer pension", at least he should play Euros and maybe even the next World Cup. Ibrahimovic at 41 years old is still scoring, and Ronaldo probably even in better shape than Ibrahimovic, so a couple of years more Ronaldo sure will play, the main thing that in the championship of Saudi Arabia not to get lost.
