Switzerland deserve with the goal after create high ball possession and break Italy too many parts. Pellegrini is a solution for Spaletti to create more good passes for Italy. Fagioli can be considered to replace by other midfielder who like Jorginho and they even need more attacking power from Zaccagni.

If it wasn't for that goal scored by Switzerland, this game was the worst trash so far that the Euro had to offer.Stopping mistakes, failed passes, Enbolo giving away the huge chance, it was awful... This one goal probably saved the party as the Italians now have to go out and do something about it. But if that goal didn't happen, I think there would have been passing like in handball until the penalty shootout. What a nightmare for the fans.

But the good part about this is that Italy gets punished for their lame football. They play this calm tactic and then want to score the first goal and then they try to waste time as much as they can. Thank god this won't be possible for them this game.

The first half has the Switzerland written all over it with the Italians playing as if they're leading by 4 goals to nil, it is disappointing coming from Italy. Never expected the game to be one sided, Italy are suppose to come out as the favorite in this encounter but they're not having what it takes to break the defense of the Switzerland team in the first half.
Although is not yet over, I just hope the leading team (Switzerland) won't let their guide down by giving Italy a chance to find the ball in the back of the net. Normally the Italians should apply a lot more pressure and play more offensively, as you say, especially after the 0-1, but even after the 0-2 against them they played calmly as if there was a return match? Maybe someone should tell the coach that the knockout phase only consists of one game and that if they are two goals behind they should try to play offensively. But even in the 70th minute the players are calmly as if nothing had happened, I really don't understand.

Switzerland has shown the consistency of their game. they played very well and in the first half, they were 1 goal ahead. Italy didn't even have many chances and if it continues in the second half like that, it will be bad for Italy.

Italy's match was boring there was no more strategy from Spalletti while Switzerland remained confident with their game, I thought in the second half there would be a change for Italy where they would appear more attacking but I see now they are not able to put pressure on Switzerland therefore Spalletti has failed for Euro 2024.

With a few minutes to go I'm not sure Italy will be able to get a goal back as the Swiss defense is very solid with 5 defenses behind them, while Italy's strikers are still struggling to find goal space.

The Swiss team really surprised the Italians and they couldn't do anything again and since they always have this pattern of being defensive in their play, it was hard for them to attack the Switzerland side and they keep pressuring the Italian defense and Italy is known for playing some kind of boring game, always defensive that is why they are still playing very calmly and not put more effort at least to score a goal before looking for an equalizer, maybe the second goal broke their wings so they just lose hope of making a change in their play but looking at the time the second goal was scored, the Italians could have still put in more effort but yet they were playing very dull game. Vargas was very impressive for the Switzerland team as he made an assist that led to the first goal and also scored in the second half of the game just immediately when the second half started. Switzerland have now qualified for the quarter final stages.

Switzerland really silenced the Italian fans today by winning the match 2-0 without reply. I actually didn’t expect Italy to lose today’s match considering Italy were the favourites to win but in reality it didn’t happen so Switzerland deserved to celebrate their victory today after producing more good attacks in today’s match. And it looks like in the other matches in the round of 16 this time there will be more surprises from teams who are not the favourites to win.

I agree that Switzerland was a much more organized team than Italy. In general, if Italy don't have Donnaruma they would not have reached this stage, but unfortunately Donnaruma did not learn to score goals, and apparently there is no one else in the national team to do it.
Switzerland is legitimate to go further and I think is one of the main contenders for victory at this Euro.

Switzerland was the favorite in this match. I didn't like Italy in the group stage, this is maybe the worst Italy team in recent times. They are inexperienced, they don't know what they are playing, players are disconnected from each other, they can't threaten the opponent, they are a bad team overall.
