Congratulations to Italy and Spain who today followed Germany and Switzerland into the next phase.

A super hard-fought match, I was glued to the TV with friends to watch it.
It was incredible but no one spoke in the last minutes, everyone was silent to see what could happen. What suffering.

Sad to see Croatia crashing out of this tournament. They are a small nation (unlike the case with other European giants such as Germany, England or France), but always performed on par with the top teams in Europe. Their squad is ageing, and that maybe one of the reasons for the poor performance this time. Apart from Marco Pašalić and Luka Sučić, they don't have any young forwards in less than 25 age group. Andrej Kramarić is 33, while Luka Modrić will soon be 39.

If you refer to these statistics, Croatia has no chance of beating Italy, but it is very possible that the situation will be different because usually in crucial matches there is high tension and the desire to achieve the target is very big. They where even luck that zaccagni try put his much effort and equalized back at the of the time, if not the yesterday match will be Croatia fevor.

Croatia will be dependent on the performance of England against Slovenia as whatever the outcome will be determines if they get to play in the next round or if they will be removed.

Although are refers Croatia as a weak team but with the way they prove their performance yesterday against Italy there also in good form which in their next match they try more better than what they have play in there previous matches, because I'm expecting them to take over the second place from the Italy in table since there only ahead of the Croatia with only two points.

and hope that Spain actually beat Albania. If by any slight chance the two outsiders

In my area Italy fans have long been cheering after the last goal of the injury time minute of the article that determines where Italy goes through, although I doubt Italy will win perfectly but this is enough they are happy with the draw.

Modric saying goodbye (possibly) to the national team with a group stage elimination wasn't what they were thinking probably. I mean he is quite old now, and him playing 2 more years for world cup, will not be all that simple at all. I think it is clear that we are talking about him leaving, retiring after this one unless he does something unbelievable.

The possibility of him still playing isn't impossible, because this dude had man of the match on this game, meaning that he is still quite amazing when he plays, but he is getting very old, so if he retires then it would be the expected. Using Alexander Arnold as a midfielder is some how not working for him while he (Southgate) has numbers of midfielders and good ones for that matter but he felt the bench is a better place for them. No better team rotation when he select players for each game and I want to ask, between these two midfielders Kobbie Mainoo and Conor Gallagher who is best to pair with the Arsenal man Rice? Thanks for correcting me. So Croatia is not yet out. Even then, it will be very difficult for them to qualify for the next phase. I checked the ranking of third placed teams, and Croatia needs to be in top-4 out of a total of 6 teams. But at this point, they are at the 5th position, behind Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. As you have posted, there is a small chance that Croatia can move up this table, but that will take a lot of generosity from teams like England, Portugal and Danmark.

Yes that's right. Krosasi's chances are actually very big in this group if he is able to win over Albania in his second match, but unfortunately he has to be satisfied with a draw. Croatia's fate at this year's Euro was very unfortunate, they failed to maintain their lead, in the match against Albania the goal was scored in the 90+4 minute and yesterday against Italy it was even more painful 90+7. There were only 45 seconds left to qualify for the round of 16, but now they were 99% eliminated. On the bench, Modric didn't seem to believe this result.
