For tomorrow's matches, namely England vs Switzerland and Netherlands vs Turkey, I have also made my choices for these two matches. And my choices are Switzerland and the Netherlands.

It seems that everyone is no longer convinced of the Englishmen's competence after their disappointing performance in the past matches. No goal was scored by any of the teams in the first half but some good opportunities was not properly used. I watched the full first half of the quarter final game between France and Portugal and if you ask me, I think it's been a tight ajd difficult game for both teams. Both teams have asked each other's defense few questions but none of them attempts were enough for any of them to break through. While Portugal have been trying to build their attacks from the back, France have been relying on the pace of their attackers to hit their opponents on the counter.
The second half just kicked off and considering how impressive the both teams have been, I don't can't say for sure which of the teams will likely win the game. The first half finished without a goal but I don't think that'll happen in this second half because both teams are seriously trying to break the deadlock. Most football fans are hopping that the Captains of both teams Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe will make the difference tonight

Did Spain deserve the win? They definitely did!    They have such a great squad depth though. Merino's header was so good that I don't think any other goalkeeper would also be able to save it either.

Generally I did not see Spain played better than Germany in this match and Germany created more pressure and opportunities on Spain than Spain did on Germany. It's football, one moment decides the winner but Germany actually had some good opportunities and finishes. They only lacked of luckiness to have a second goal.

The referee literally did everything he could for Germany to score in the stoppage time honestly.    But Germany still couldn't score and failed their fans in a competition being organized home.

You are right that the referee tried to give Germany about 2 or 3 more minutes longer than only 2 injured minutes but Germany failed to find a goal. However if you look further, before the second goal of Spain, the referee refused a penalty for Germany. In my opinion, he helped Spain to avoid a second goal and if it happens, Germany lead the match, not Spain.

This defeat is painful for Germany and at least they deserve to pull the match to penalty shootouts. Lose on penalty spot is more acceptable for them than losing like this.

I enjoyed watching the match, it was a tough game with plenty of yellow cards and players going to miss the next fixture. Spain really performed at their best, some minutes into the game I had the conviction that Spain were definitely going to win. Spain wasn't relaxed unlike Germany who felt reluctant until they conceded before they began playing to equalize. I thought that was because both teams had not found a goal until injury time. Both teams have strong defenses and the performance of both goalkeepers is also very good, so extra time is what will happen now.

France vs Portugal is a tough match, but the performance of both teams tends to be the same so far. Both coaches rotated to improve the intensity of the attack, but France improved in the second half. Camavinga, Dembele and Mbappe still failed to score, as did Muani and Kante with several opportunities. I hope Portugal can score goals in 2x15 and win this match. Usually I watch big matches. In this match, both team gave their all to win the match. The equalizer in the regular time for Germany was a release for the German fan and then the winning goal in the 119th minute was painful experience for the same supporters. It's a bad day for the host county. I am guessing Spain is going to meet Portugal in the semi :-D

They deserve the win, they fought hard for it, Germany already showed how exhausted they was honestly and they committed too many fouls. I was surprised to see that non of them finally saw themselves sent out of the pitch. It's not a good farewell then for Toni Kroos, this is not the way I expected it.
It seems like Spain will go a long way to the finals, they lacked concentration otherwise that game shouldn't have be tied. Anyways, I'm not shifting my focus to the Dutch National side as I want them to win this Competition.

We've seen scarcity of chances in this game, I wonder why Bruno Fernandez would be substituted when Rapheal Leao obviously plays nothing in this game.
Asides him would be also Kylian Mbappe who has done nothing in this game. Few minutes of Ousman Dembele on the pitch has been quite better than Kylian Mbappe. I'm wondering if this is what he wants to do when the new season kicks off for the La Liga Competition.

As I expected, my favourite to win this year's trophy, Spain, did not let down.
I think Germany was the toughest team out of all the other remaining ones, but Spaniards managed to get through them, and should be much easier from here.

Still a goalless draw in Portugal Vs France, I hope Ronaldo and his team will send the African team home. But let the better team win. I expect to see penalties here.

Today seems like a game of draws as expected , except the first game played between Spain and Germany had goal's in it which was entertaining to watch too ,unlike the France -Portugal game which looks like both teams are giving each other the respect they deserve and seem like they are already settled to break the deadlock via penalties   lol 😂 not to get ahead of ourselves, extra time will need to be played to see if a winner can emerge and hope France makes better use of the chances they get...am seeing Kante getting the winning goal because he seems to be getting the chances more than everyone else and it wouldn't be a Bad idea if the football gods make this  happen for the lad!

It's true, I saw both teams playing with great caution, no one wanted to take risks from either side so now the second half of the match ended still goalless, and to be honest I saw quite a lot of opportunities that France wasted when they have managed to penetrate Portugal's defense, that's a shame.

On the other hand, I don't think I can draw conclusions too early about the match ending in a penalty shootout because there are still two additional rounds that must first be passed, and of course it is clear that the match will get hotter and I am sure that in this extra round both teams will definitely shows his aggressive side, but if it turns out that these two extra rounds still haven't produced any goals from either side then maybe what you said could be repeated regarding the saves made by the Portuguese goalkeeper.
