Even if it is way too early for this thread I really hate the idea of where they are going.

2-3 countries for a World cup is absurd in my opinion.

Imagine a guy who wants to follow the dream and wants to watch the 7 games until the final... he needs to travel the half-world for it, and pay a lot of extra money for it.

The extra money is one thing. Next one is the Visa process, it isn't easy to enter these countries same as one enters Qatar or an Asian country. The upcoming FIFA World Cup will surely be a big hurdle for each and everyone who have got plans to watch it. Anyhow we've got more years and the countries might come with more plans to ease out things.

I also have another question.... how do you imagine that Argentina, current champions, will perform in the next World Cup without Lionel Messi and Ángel di María?
I think Argentina need to be concerned early on about how they are going to deal with this deficit in their attacking team.

Argentina has excellent young players that can continue from where this team left off. Alvarez, Lo Celso, Romerio, E. Fenandez, Nico Gonzalez, Taglafico, Molina, Montiel, R. De Paul, Lisandro Martinez, Ganacho, Mac Allister are all young players that are very good. They don't need to have a player as good as Messi or Di Maria to win, they only need to play as a team, the same way they played in the Copa America and World cup. For now, Messi is still around and he'll still continue to help them but I doubt he'll be available for the world cup in 2026. I don't know if they have a good goalkeeper like Martinez though but they have less than four years to find one because Martinez won't be what he is today by 2026.

When any team belongs to remarkable player, different kind of motivation works within the team which can motivate even the weaker players to great deeds. Messi's role in the Argentine team is similar. When Messi is in the team, it is not impossible to expect good things from the other players because of the spiritual stimulation. It remains to be seen how the mentioned players play in the upcoming World Cup. The extent of Messi's contribution to the team will also be quantifiable.

That is the main thing - when Ronaldo is on the field then the eyes and camera are on him and when Messi is on the field all eyes are towards him too.
But portugal won one of their matches against SUI when Ronaldo didnot play - so they will be able to find more alternative and young blood will get a chance to play the important matches

If it becomes a selection process for everyone to decide where they want to watch the World Cup, it will undoubtedly worsen as more people will prefer to watch mostly the final stages of these matches.

even though the 2026 world cup is a little different there will be many pros and cons of course, actually there is no problem if it has to be held in 3 countries because it can provide opportunities for other countries to be able to host the world cup of course it will bring in a lot of money coming in from the audience for the host country too , I support this change even though what you think will be difficult for Americans to travel everywhere but if they are football lovers, of course it will be easy for them

Usually in the early rounds or the group phase the spectators will focus on the national team from their country and if a team from that country plays in Mexico then they will be in Mexico first until the group phase is over and after that see which country will be the venue for their country, not a hard thing in my opinion. I haven't seen whether Mexico or Canada will only get a spot for group stage matches, if so then spectators will only need visas in two countries.
If anyone says Argentina will win the next World Cup again, it's only the people from Argentina and as far as I know, no country has been able to win 2x in a row apart from Brazil and Italy but that was a long time ago.

What nonsense is this guy talking? in africa as i am african we all know that the only teams that are dominant are nigeria, camer, senegal, ivory coast, ghana, egypt, morocco, tunisia, so these are the teams that will always be in the world cup with this new model and no doubt these teams have no chance of reaching the world cup final, so what the hell is this guy talking about?

we all know that in africa soccer federations there is a lot of corruption that even for players to be able to play in their country's team to represent the world cup they need to pay large amounts of money or they will not be called up to play and this gentleman knows that and it does nothing, we all know that in the local African leagues the teams are beggars, they are so poor that they cannot pay the players meager wages and cannot pay the prize when a team wins the league

Well, this is exactly what my concern was and i stated it few pages back, but another user( cant recall the name right now) replied and said that the world cup tournaments have become bigger than every single country in the world, and as that, it is no longer a tournament that should be hosted by one country alone, he finds nothing wrong in FIFA deciding to host the 2026 world cup in three different countries.

Personally, like ive said before, tourists, that is those who will be traveling to view the match played live would be the ones at a loss, as they wont be able to watch all the games, international journalists/news outlets are gonna have to spend much more too, as they will have to hire more hands, fly each of them to one of this countries each so they can be able to cover all the happenings in this three countries, if they dont do it this way, logistics might end up being a big problem for them.

This is still very surprising to me for team to be moving form one country to another which do not make it the regular world cup that we used to know. I think there is reason for that which should be disclosed to us but still don't know. Anyhow the FIFA set the next world cup to be depend on them. As the FIFA World Cup have got over, players will move towards different clubs for their regular championship. Separate team will be playing for the country to get qualified for the FIFA 2026. More players who had been part of the 2022 World Cup won't be available in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. More senior players leave and turn to be the coach and different other positions. And now it's too early to pick the team for each nation.

I also know about that and it's really regrettable, I believe every country has safety rules for construction workers in their country but construction entrepreneurs ignore them, but the government in the country in North America has strict rules against every construction company in the country
