I think that was one of the biggest surprises of the tournament. They literally made history, being the first African nation to reach to the semi finals of the world cup.



Another surprise was of course Saudi Arabia winning against the future world cup winner, Argentina.

And I think there were a few other results that no one was expecting. It was a pretty entertaining world cup.

Yes, absolutely! In fact Morocco played as if that game was the last game of their lives, literally they played above their 100%.

If Morocco had the same tactical and quality level as an elite team, for example Brazil, France and Argentina, and if they played with the same determination that they had in this World Cup, I have no doubt that they would be champions!

I even forgot to comment, in my opinion Japan also surprised the world, because they beat Germany and Spain and managed to take Croatia to the penalties in the "round of 16", but unfortunately they lost.

Well, the conclusion I can reach is that football has become a sport widely known and practiced all over the world, and several countries are getting special attention to football, which proves what I said are the unexpected results we had in this last world cup.

Morocco made the history - they were the real champions. We have witness some great moment and an amazing end of the world cup.

However I'm sure that fans that were stopped in the airport because they didn't get their visa on time. There was a situation where two guys payed almost $3000 for a game and airplane ticket to go to one game. One guy got his visa and the other guy didn't get it in time. The guy without a visa got stopped from entering a plane in Frankfurt, Germany and his friend didn't want to go alone. In the end not only have they lost $3000, they had to buy another plane ticket to get home from Frankfurt.

And then there were those discriminate situations where something that is normal in "our" world was forbidden in Qatar, but I won't go into that.

Personally, I actually think those two continents have too few slots to qualify, for example only 4.5 slots out of 10 for South America, and in Europe giants like Italy failed to qualify.

Qatar didn't issued a tourist visa that easily for nothing, and USA wouldn't issue it for nothing neither. We are talking about one nation that is literally bribing Fifa to do it so they could promote their nation vs a nation that is already troubled with immigrants to begin with because they are a good nation.

I am sure that you could all realize that one nation being a lot better to live in and want to immigrate to versus the other is obvious here. Who would want to immigrate to Qatar where they literally killed thousands to build for world cup, but you would want to immigrate to USA which is a real thing right now. Honestly, I thought this increase from 32 to 48 teams was very good, but making groups with only three participants, and ranking two in order to take two thirds of all teams to a direct elimination duel is insane, in my opinion.

Obviously this is not defined yet, but I would prefer to see 12 groups with four teams each, so that fewer teams qualify for the second phase.

I have thought of many ways that there are no problems due to the visa problem, and this can be made a superior policy, that is, that there is a way that those who have to attend the country is that they give it some provisions, at least what Let the World Cup last 15 more days, this to give the person a chance to visit the countries, this to do tourism, make the economy move, and give a good show to this, I think that is the best way basic and easy to solve, but from now to 2026 we do not know which governments will be in the countries, if on the contrary instead of making immigration policies more flexible or on the contrary if a Trump wins then the measures will be much worse, tarnishing a show.

I suppose a compromise could be reached in which if a fan can show they have booked a flight and a hotel room already and they have a ticket for one of the matches then a temporal visa could be issued which could last only for the duration of the world cup, however this is just an idea and without a doubt it is going to be problematic to get into the US and assist to the matches, however it seems that the last thing on the minds of the FIFA directors are the fans and their problems as with the exception of Mexico the most recent world cups have been hosted in countries which do not really have a long soccer tradition, and this is a problem.

Infact most of the time. Morocco did surprise the world so does Saudi Arabia in one of their matches - and so does Japan.

It was said no stadiums are going to be built, and I imagine they want to reuse most buildings as possible which already exist in their countries so they decrease the investment and maximize financial returns from tourists.
