Indeed, it's been a very interesting first half so far, as both teams still playing goalless, despite Spain having the most ball possessions and shots on target against Argentina. And judging by the outcome of the first half, its obvious this game might end goalless and goes into the penalty kick...

From what I saw and noticed, Argentina strategy is to make their opponents try their best during the game since the beginning of it until they become tired in the last minutes of the game before starting to score and dominate. It has been very interesting game from the both teams. Although Spain controlled all the possession in the first half. Yamal has two clear chances but he was unable to convert them into goals. Honestly both teams are too aggressive but the referee is doing his best to calm the game. It's seems that Argentina are back and better because they are holding the ball more than Spain unlike, in the second half. Argentina was unable to get any goal attempt in the first half if they continue like that in the second half, they will lose the game.

That's simply the difference between Spain and the other teams, Spain is not the type of team that would sit back and allow their opponents pressure them rather they will control the midfield and decide the tempo of the game, so far Argentina have been really poor and haven't even created a single chance in the game and I feel the only way they get to score is if actually Spain makes an error in the back or lose the ball which will give them space to counter attack and probably be dangerous.

You are absolutely on point, they are using this strategy in knockout matches, and this is giving them good results. They always keep their defense tight in the early 60 to 70 minutes while opponents players started feeling tired they started their business, and this always works for them.

Spain is still finding it hard to get a goal there play is good but they need to score a goal, Argentina isn't playing this ball as people that can win if Spain should score any goal now they are going to win the match because they won't play a defensive game just as England and the rest team that Argentina eliminated from this tournament, so i believe there dying minutes magic goals won't be possible for them if eventually Spain gets a goal.

Now the most crucial part of the game is going to be started because in the last few games Argentina always started their game at this point and brought their opponent under pressure. Can they today? They will be able to do the same against Spain because they have one of the best defenses, and it's never been easy to hit them hard.

Spain is from the start having a good strategy, and they are not allowing Argentina to create problems for them. This game does really feels like a final as it should be, I love how it is past mid second half and no team is yet to get a goal, this is like the first time it is happening in the world cup this year for this two teams,  all other games played before now, by this time, they would have recorded shots on target from either sides, both teams seem to be having it tough,  I do feel like if Argentina has actually had this type of fixtures before now, they may not have made it to this stage of the competition,  my best of luck wishes are with Spain.

Spain is actually doing very well in this match and I expect them to win the match if they don't win this match then they made a very big mistake, they are the ones having more ball position and they are the ones also having chances to score all they need right now is to convert one of the chances.

I don't agree with this because it is not a strategy in my opinion but a suicide mission. What if the opponent score then too many goals before they get tired, what guarantee do they have that they will equalize the goals and win the match. There are teams that are very good in defense and the moment they are two goals up, you can hardly equalize those goals. The only strategy I know Argentina uses is never to give up until the final whistle is blown. They remain focused in the game, making optimal use of every opportunity they got and it has been working well for them.

Martinez is the only reason why Argentina is still very much in the game, Spain has been knocking but has been kept out by the Argentinian shot stopper, that's why his the best man for the job for his country. His one of the players I have always admired from that team, his not scared to challenge or push for the ball in his position. Spain is just knocking the ball in the half of Argentina but to score is the problem as Martinez has kept his team on the game. This kind of games don't sometimes end well for the better teams.Spain is playing and doing everything possible to win but Argentina are holding on.

The referee was very correct giving Enzo the second yellow card but honestly I don't think he should have given him the first yellow card.
The game has now been shifted towards Spain and that is in addition to the fact that Spain were already heads and shoulders above Argentina.
Honestly I fear for Argentina after Messi retires, you can't depend on an individual like this, the first half and second half was all Spain now it is up to Argentina to defend for another thirty minutes if they are to win this one.
