It's full time and still 0-0 as nothing seems to separate the both teams they will be going into an extra time, Argentina is already with 10 men now and this is going to increase the pressure in them more. Argentina goal keeper made a good save in the last minute of the second half a free kick played by Yamal almost ended the game before this extra time but the goal keeper says no.

It’s a tough one today! I have still have believe that Argentina might go home with the cup even though they preformed bad in terms of possession and control over the pitch but they can still go home with the cup but if they don’t Spain takes it and then it leaves Yamal to be born today again. This whole coincidence is one if the craziest I’ve ever seen.

Congratulations Spain. Today's match has made Spain the world champion for the second time, but unfortunately, Spain's game with Argentina was uneven. It was unbelievable that Spain's opponent was Argentina today because Argentina's attack was absolutely zero, they couldn't even shoot on target. Where a world champion player like Messi is included, Argentina today couldn't even attack. However, Argentina became the runner-up, which is a lot of power and every player in Spain performed amazingly and they deserved to be world champions.

That was the end of an era, Messi was no longer young as a productive player in football. I think Argentina's achievement in the final was also due to the X factor, which people often talk about on social media that they are often benefited by referees, as if they are being manipulated by FIFA for their own interests, so that this World Cup is still interesting to watch.

From the beginning I was pessimistic that Argentina would not win the World Cup this year, seeing their opponents from the group stage to the Final I was sick of seeing it.
Spain this time is very deserving of the 2026 World Cup Champions, considering that their previous opponents beat big teams such as Portugal and France.

Congratulations to Spain, I enjoyed watching the match despite how much time it took before reaching the last minutes so many tension. Actually every country deserved a chance like this but, Spain outdid themselves just imagine how we never saw this coming not until the last minutes although personally I had the believe Spain will defeat Argentina and lift the World Cup trophy, winning the World Cup trophy twice within the space of a long time is actually brilliant, Spain is now the present World Cup champions.

I was busy bashing France for having a poor performance against Spain in the Semi finals not knowing that a terrible game is on the way coming for the team that was going to meet them in the finals. How on earth did Argentina, a defending champion before during the game had such a terrible game. Spain was playing like the international team that they are and Argentina was playing like my village team that hasn't played before on a standard pitch. The whole of Argentina team apart from Martinez played rubbish for an entire 120 minutes, what a shame.

Spain was really better in this match and they showed their quality and really deserved the title. Argentina just parked the bus and once they conceded they started attacking,its like that Argentina needs to concede a goal to start attacking and playing football. Spain now won Euros and World cup and got combined titles now and that is really incredible and that is really rare.

Only sad thing is that Messi didnt win his second world cup and now he has two world cups that he lost but still has one world cup title.

I give credit to Spain for a fantabulous performance, congratulations to them aswell as the World Champions after beating the defending champions, this wasn't the best of performance we expected from Argentina, not a good delivery but I celebrate their efforts coming this far in the World Cup tournament.

Last World Cup for Messi and Ronaldo, I'm proud of both players, a journey that comes to an end.

Argh, does this deserve to be called the final? there was no tension, no buying and selling of attack, purely one-sided, Spain were absolutely outrageous with the way they played, a clear dominance as they gave Argentina absolutely nothing to create chances and even Argentina could only play a total defensive game. Congratulations to Spain, this is their second title.

The match reminds me of this year's UCL final between PSG and Arsenal. One team was really dominant in ball possession, while the other defended solidly. It's a classic final where both teams played very carefully. They knew one little mistake could lead to a goal.

There are players that caught my attention in this match.
Martinez, who is becoming a solid wall for Argentina, consistently denied Spain's chances.
Cubarsi, great defending, won most of the duels he had.
Rodri, it felt like he was directing the entire game. He controlled the flow from the beginning.

When I posted this reply, Cubarsi was announced as the Best Young Player and Rodri as the Best Player.

Big congratulations to Spain on their championship! It is absolutely a completely deserved title to be honest. They controlled the match the most and finally managed to score in extra time.

Regular time was really boring though compared to the 2022 World Cup final. Tension was really high from time to time. Spain answered Argentina well about that. The red card was also clearly correct.

Spain made it a victory a last!

Super excitement everywhere, now I begin to see a true definition of competency and outstanding performance, Spain proof to the world that despite all odds, it's deserving on the winning of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and it was achieved through competency.

Messi could not perform well, the name Argentina could not resist them, rigging and sentiment could not at the same time denied the victory with Spain tonight, the entire world have their dream team win, a big shout out to Spain.

What a game. Spain is the giants of the world cup final. I love this Spanish team, their team work is top notch. They kept their cool and played Argentina like an ordinary team. I enjoyed this game from start to finish, Argentina had  no shot on target in 120 minutes and had zero shots in the first 90 minutes. This performance is great and deserved the win they got.

A well deserved win for the Spanish National team and the entire Spain fans and supporters, it was a very tough game for the Argentina even with Lionel Messi in the game. The spanish team dominated the game from the starting of the match till the end, although Spain were finding it difficult to convert their chances till Ferran Torres came from the bench and scored the winning goal of the game during the extra hours, they all tried their possible best to play well. Congratulations once again to Spain and hard luck to the Argentina.

Argentina wanted to defend the championship, they don’t have the intention of playing free flowing football, they wanted to stay back and use any opportunity they had to score and wait if they couldn’t score they will play penalties since they have one of the best keepers in the world, but it wasn’t possible tonight, they were defeated by Spain because Spain played better tonight and the best team won.

Congratulations to Spain on winning the world, they have tried because they stick to their teamwork and end up recalling Champions of the world.

You don't need to be surprised that Argentina didn't perform well against Spain, what were you expecting Argentina to do when they lost the control of midfield? Spain took over everywhere they made it very difficult for Messi to do his magic and they made Argentina to defend all through the game because they were the underdog. A better finals was the game between France and England in the third place tonight Argentina just wasted the time of Spain by keeping them late before giving them their well deserved trophy. Congratulations to Spain.

I wish we'd seen a better final match. Argentina played very timidly, they couldn't create anything on offense. Spain also squandered the chances they had. The shots on goal went straight at the goalkeeper. Martinez had a good game. But once you concede a goal, it's all over if you can't score.

Argentina held on until extra time but ran out of steam in the final 15 minutes. Playing with 10 men was hard enough as it was. Spain have won another title. This generation will win more titles in the future I believe. They have very talented players.

I have always said it that for any team to actually win against this Argentina they just need to shut down Messi and that’s all, Argentina has been a shadow of this tournament personally I didn’t even think they will get far to the final because of how they play, they were heavily dependent on Messi, they scored 19 goals but Messi scored 8 of those goals and also assisted the other 4 goals that’s 12 goal contribution out of that 19. Personally I will say Messi carried the team and what Spain did today was what the other countries didn’t do.

I think special appreciation needs to go to De La Fuente the Spain manager, he was excellent throughout the tournament with his tactical approach to every game that they won, from squad selection to team selection or tactical changes like dropping Pedri for Fabian Ruiz

In reality, Spain performed very well in the World cup 2026, so they became world cup champions but Argentina performed well throughout the World cup, so they were able to reach the final. Seeing the way Argentina started winning every match, many people already assumed that Argentina would be world cup champions. So it is not right to be overconfident about football because we really do not know what will happen at the end of the day.

I feel bit sorry for Lionel Messi because he didn't won their last ever World Cup. Spain won it because they deserve like they have great team with awesome players. Argentina team was bit sloppy like all of their has older and that's why they didn't delivered any energetic play. But still it's okay for them to recognize into the final step......

It's a last World Cup for the greatest of all but unfortunately he didn't made it legit like sometimes players feel need a team help but unfortunately Argentina didn't help him. In every single match Lionel Messi was the man to rescue the team but in today match he was totally marked by opponent and his team also made nothing.

I congratulate Spain for beating Argentina in the 2026 World Cup and becoming the second trophy they get in the World Cup, I really enjoyed the match with great satisfaction, even though it had to feel tense even until the added time was long enough that Argentina almost brought the game to a draw but they were not so lucky today.

It should have been 2-0 but VAR showed another result by seeing a different thin elbow (which even I saw it was not offside) with the Argentine defender, but from all that happened, gratitude for this great victory I congratulate again

Spain really performed very well today. They attacked very well from the start. I have no regrets or anger about Argentina about the loss, but I can say that they tried. Most possession of the ball was on Spain's side throughout the match. However, at this stage, seeing such a performance, it will be difficult for the Argentine fans to accept. Argentina's performance in the final match was not as expected. Despite having Lionel Messi, Argentina could not fulfill the expectations.
