Feel bad? Far from it, except for the ignoble phone call that played out between Donald Trump and Gianni Infantino. Yet, football Karma struck the USA the hardest, with 1-4 win by Belgium in knockout stage, which is disgraceful enough for Trump, even as their person of interest (Folarin Balogun) wasn't able to produce a single goal in that match. So why should I feel bad? Even with the partial officiation in favour of Argentina, the country wasn't terrible on the pitch; they did well, so they deserve respect still. And for the obvious partiality, Argentina was still hammered hard by Spain. Not only that, Spain had an overwhelming 75% supporter to win the final match globally . That should tell you a lot already. The world of football has already been vindicated!
I can't deny it, because that's how it is. The thing is, FIFA is so corrupt now that they want to privatize and sell certain sectors of it. UEFA has already spoken out, saying it won't be part of those sales of shares to private organizations. I knew Infantino was up to something. If they manage to pull that off, the World Cup and everything will be more than bought. I think if they don't do something now, everything will get out of control.
Directors are seeing a company making huge profits and are now looking to become partners in it for their own personal gain. UEFA has rejected FIFA decision to sell shares to outside investors in a plan to form a separate entity to raise funds for the World Cup and various commercial events. The commercialization process is progressing in such a way that the ruling party will have priority and the company will be more controversial. The investment company will likely be headed by Joshua Kushner, the brother of U.S president Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, which makes matters more controversial.

I believe the next world Cup will not be hosted by America
That is a fact, the hosting countries for the 2030 World Cup have already been decided back in 2024. Also, FIFA have rotation rules, so a country cannot host the tournament if any other continental confederation has already hosted either of the two preceding editions. In this case, none of the CONCACAF teams/countries can host the World Cup until at least 2038.
As far as i've read, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will be the main hosts, while one match each will be played in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to mark the 100th anniversary of the first world cup in 1930. It’s quite an interesting concept, and i think this is how a world cup should look
So for you a World Cup should be played in 6 different countries and 3 different countries, separated by an ocean? And clearly the fans who want to watch the matches should travel all around the world and possibly get different visas, as if following the World Cup in a single country wasn't already expensive enough. I'm sorry but that is one of the stupidest things I've ever read in this thread.

As i said i read about it.It’s not stupid at all to celebrate 100 years of the most prestigious competition. Anyone who has the money and the patience will surely go and watch their team. Everyone was saying that tickets were expensive in USA, yet we still saw full stadiums...

Sure, all the people who have enough money and time will watch the matches anyone. And then we are here to call football "the people's sport", please... Of course money always played a role but now everything is only about the money. The football level we saw at the last World Cup was incredibly low. And that was supposed to be a competition among the best teams in the world...

Now he wants to turn FIFA into a business venture.

To be honest, hosting the World Cup in USA is not a good idea and since i started seeing Trump involving himself in football activities i knew that he is planning something in his mind, the World Cup has been going well and no one is complaining about how they organise it but this 2026 is different and people have been complaining about how the fans and the players have been treated, although it is not only USA that they organise the competition but  i believe that USA will be the one that will bring some unnecessary rules in the competition.

FIFA president is now regretting hosting the World Cup in those countries because people are criticising him, bringing the idea of selling some stakes is just use as the main reason why many people want him to step down but there are many reasons why everyone including the UEFA are not supporting him. As it stands now, Infantino will be very with some ideas he want to bring to World Cup.

USA is not an ordinary country that can be ignored by FIFA. After all FIFA is just a governing body and Infantino knows that to secure his position as FIFA head, he has to remain silent on USA actions throughout this world cup. USA has now hosted a world cup which means for next many years FIFA won't be helpless during world cup because every country knows how to respect participating countries and the spectators. Infantino is under huge pressure for his recent actions and UEFA might not support him for fourth term in March next year.

Unfortunately when it comes down to the FIFA president election, UEFA don't count a lot: every single nation's vote is the same, so Spain's vote has the same weight as Fiji's vote, and last time Infantino won thanks to the promises he made to Africa and Asia to give them more spots. So they voted for him. He doesn't care about Europe, he knows European countries won't vote for him, that's why he gave Europe just a couple of extra spots (because he had to, not because he wanted) while to other continents he doubled the number of countries taking part at the tournament.

personally i think Haaland was the most entertaining player to watch in the tournament. i'm not usually someone who enjoys watching target men but i love seeing him run like a freight train and score goals. People try to tackle him but nothing happens to him but defender ends up getting hurt instead. plus, he looks like the Predator to me. Watching him just makes me laugh it's pure entertainment.

I like Haaland because he is more like an old school striker, and by that I mean he is a real striker: he doesn't run too much, he knows where the ball will go, he mainly does one thing and he does it very well, which is scoring goals. Many other offensive players are praised for their defensive qualities, because they help the team, etc etc, yes, everything is very cool, but if the end of the season they scored 8-10 goals then I don't really care about their help to the team, they are supposed to help the team scoring.

Haaland plays football with ease and make the striking role look simple. He may not touch the ball many times, but each one he touches is usually impactful. If strikers do their job, they don't need to assist with any defence because that's not what they're there for. Haaland understands it and plays his game to score goals. I used to wonder how he scores the goals since you will hardly see him with the ball in some games. Every team needs Haaland in their squad because he is a player that does not play to prove anything, he only enters the pitch and the goals come after him. He was loved during the tournament and his fanbase grew rapidly after their exit.

Trump himself is a businessman and considers his own profit first in everything he does. He is not very interested in what ordinary people or reliable polls say. Gianni Infantino withdrew from that position as a result of his stance against the privatization of UEFA and other federations around the world. Although he has withdrawn from the controversial decision for now, Trump may be taking another strategy because he realizes that FIFA is an organization with a lot of liquid money flowing in and there is a lot of money to be made from it.

There is a kind of uncertainty about the survival of this huge football organization because if they continue to make decisions only considering the business aspect. If in the future, a proposal is accepted considering the interests of any person and it is forcibly implemented, it will have a negative impact. It is now a matter of seeing who is elected in the FIFA presidential election in March next year and how impartial he can be. Infantino has already lost his neutral position.

I agree with you, Trump doesn't care about any other thing other than money being made from it, this is a capitalist country that claims to be democratic, they bash and water down China for being capitalist meanwhile they are the real definition of a capitalist country. If mainly UEFA didn't agree with this Infantino plans of selling part FIFA to private investors, I believe it would have been a done deal. UEFA to me I think is the main reason why his backing out of this simply because they didn't support it. Who would be watching the world cup or FIFA held competitions without European countries or European clubs? He got the heating and understood this is way bigger than him that's why his dropped that nonsense aganda he has for FIFA.

Europe still dominate FIFA world cup not only in terms of performance but in terms of number of teams participating, 16 out of 48 teams were from Europe and three of them were in semi finals. If we look at winner of FIFA world cup from 1982 onwards then they are won by EU teams or two teams from South America i.e. Brasil and Argentina. Its a good decision by FIFA to include more teams from Africa and Asia, so they can also improve there football in upcoming tournaments. If this strategy works then we might have world cup winner from Africa or Asia in future.
