Apart from BSFL now, I am wondering whether all formula 1 teams/cars have to go through that test or whether it is like a doping test where drivers and cars get selected by chance. Because if it is done every time, how the heck can they get that wrong because in their statement they said "we want to learn from our mistakes". One driver getting disqualified for something, ok. But losing two drivers who ended up in the points because they made amateur mistakes sounds weird to me. Does anyone know how exactly that works in formula 1?

This really isn't about changing up strategies or analyses. If the outcomes are driven by externalities like the one in formula 1, there is nothing to reconsider as I doubt that Ferrari would have not won those 10 points needed in the main race if they had 1 KG more in weight and 0.4 mm more on that one plate that was measured. If they can win the sprint, they can win 10 points in the main race. Same for the Brazil game, you can't adjust your way of picking results because of a 20 meter shot getting deflected and hitting the back of the net...
