I have a question for cryptofrka about the waterpolo game yesterday. I have a sidebet with Trofo so I guess that cryptofrka should be the one to answer this. The question says:

3. 2024 Men's European Water Polo Championship is being held in Croatia. The hosts are playing a difficult opening game vs Spain in Dubrovnik – considering that Montenegro is in the group as well, a loss here would be hard to come back from. Will Croatia win the match?

Since Croatia won the game 14-12 after penalties, shouldn't the correct answer be "Yes"? I mean, there is no mention about not counting penalties. If I'm not mistaken, in football there is always a note in the question about counting only regular time. Here it wasn't mentioned so I guess the final score is counted, right?

I don't wanna sound like a sore looser, but there are other players whose cup win depends on this question. That's why I want this sorted out

I'm not the type to place side bets, but if I have to put my money and pick someone, it'd be you since you already took out one of the big favorites in the previous round.

Did they always gave points like that? It's strange to me because I always thought that giving points like that is an "American style" while water polo is definitely not an american sport.

No it is first time to my knowledge. That is why we did not worded it better in the first place. This is some new format. For instance all teams from our group will pass further into competition and that is why we have that penalties.

It is not the same in all groups. Serbia is for instance in "poor" group. They will destroy opponents there but not all teams will pass from there. Still not 100% sure how it works since I just heard it while watching Croatia. I guess there are some groups for seeded stronger countries and Serbia just ended below the cutout line due to some bad result.

Lucky you to be riding on a delicate lead on our friendly, courtesy of Girona's continued brilliance to their la liga season, I will probably the nex few game week to watching them I've only watched about 2-3 times this season, and those were the matches they didn't meet up to my expectation of being the league leaders and felt like they were just the joke of the season, I guess I might be wrong.

I think waterpolo, basketball, etc. Can always say things like, who makes it to next round, or who scores more points at the end of fulltime result (including penalties). If still draw, agree, choose how Sportsbet settles it
