Addiction can be contagious and there is need for us to watch what we are doing so that we don't end up doing the wrong thing especially gambling to the extent that we could borrow huge funds just to certify our urge to make money even when the money is not coming. Gambling can be fund as we keep making money and we ought to mind the way we gamble so that we don't finally lose all funds in our bankroll. People are really spending huge money to gamble and even when they are losing, they are still very optimistic that they are going to win back all their loses. So what can this kid do when he grows up if he at 9 is already gambling.I can predict with a high efficiency that most likely he will be a thug,a thief or even a killer as this way of life brings you up only if you are already gambling at the age of 9.In here full responsibility is on the parents of this kid and they are the sole people at faulty for what this kid was able to do,it seems that they lack completely the level of education to give to this kid and maybe they have focused on their careers to improve their lives and provide this kid a better future yet by doing so they have unintentionally put the kid into gambling because they had no time to educate him or to spend with him to learn him the good and bad things.What a waste of parents.

Most likely that is what makes that kid when he grows in the right age as he/she is exposed to that particular activity during their young age. We all know that it might be absorbed by their young minds faster than us so yeah we should take it seriously and we have to do it privately and in a responsible way as possible so kids will not be influenced by gambling way too early.

Yes I agree with this, we have to change our point of view towards gambling, it can be like what you said which is thinking that gambling is like drugs or other things that have bad effects like alcohol for example, and we have to really explain about it to a child so that they really stay away from gambling when they see other people around them who are gambling or when they hear someone adult who is talking about gambling.

On the other hand yes as you said that unfortunately parents don't seem to care much about the safety of their children, but on the other hand I am sure that no matter how bad the personality of parents I am sure that they always want their children to be the best or have a better life than themselves, But maybe there are some parents who don't know about the various possibilities that can make their children fall into gambling, one of them is in terms of the internet, as we know that online casinos are increasingly popular and the internet is the biggest place for them to promote, and if parents don't limit their children's access to the internet or social media then maybe they don't know that gambling is stalking their children.

I'd love to see studies on the topic but my feelings tell me that being predisposed to get addicted to gambling don't translate to making you more prone to get addicted to substances or even to behave imorally.

and if you have to get addicted to something the best option is probably something that make you good as a first option like a healthy hobby, sport or exercising style, and second to gambling because if you end up getting good at it and learn to manage risk and bankroll you'll be rich

Parents are not completely to be blamed about their negligence on the teaching their children about gambling and other intoxicating substance which can ruin their lifestyle in future. People are now busily working on making money to run their homes and business. The time to teach kids is quite rare to make out.

However, doing the needful as an adult is crucial, time always may show up, though many would prefer sleeping with their free time. Gambling addiction is an expensive bad habit and I think anyone who is near being one should start thinking about stopping it. Even if you are rich, you can end up living in the streets if one person would not be able to control it.
There are ways to feed our boring times and I think focusing on those different hobbies will be the key to avoid gambling the whole day.
Yes, it can also cause mental damage which usually starts with stress when you keep on losing and don't have any idea how you will get back all the money you spent. I've been on that position many times that I could tell I should stop because I am losing more than what I can afford to lose. It's not healthy anymore especially if you set a budget and you are not following your own rules and limit anymore.
