I would not be surprised if this 1/4 final is basically over after the 1st leg. I see Arsenal winning this comfortably, Bayern have been crap all season.

Arteta efforts to build squad depth were not in vain, Arsenal is now appearing stable in the Premier League and Champions League. With the consistency they are currently creating, it is very natural that Arsenal are favored to win over Bayern Munich. I think their current strength is equivalent to Manchester City, we can see that in their previous matches, while Bayern Munich have experienced several surprising defeats. There is a possibility that Arsenal can advance to the final this season, in fact they are now worthy of being called a team challenging for the title, especially if they are able to eliminate Bayern Munich in the quarter finals.

I have witnessed seasons when Real Madrid was not doing well in their domestic league but they were doing so well in the champion league and even won the champions league , and even last season, Inter Milan was not doing so well in their domestic league but they were really did well in the champion league; in fact, Inter Milan even entered the final. So now that Bayern Munich is playing poorly in their domestic league, they may perform so well in the Champions League so we don't need to judge them fully based on their domestic performances. But let's see what will even happen in their first leg. From there, we can start judging. But all I can see is that it is not going to be an easy match.

Actually he's an excellent goal scorer and he's really good at what he does in almost every of their games so he becomes very much important and needed whenever the team is in need of getting good number of goals but then in the situation where by de bruyne isn't there to always give him the kind of assist that makes things much more easier for him, he becomes less of an active goal scorer and actually unable to get a good number of goals in a match.

Manchester city actually do try to appear like they are not dependent on any player but rather are independent of their players a d can always get results both in their absence or presence but then it usually becomes obvious in the fact that they still end up having a result that makes it obvious that the absence of a particular player is causing them not to get the kind of results they would get in the presence of such a player and one of such player is haland, his absence usually reflects in the number of goals Manchester city is able to get in a particular match unlike other matches.

Kevin de bruyne is also another good combination with haland that gets to help the productivity of Manchester city but the absence of one of them doesn't mean the team wouldn't be productive but they will in a way be affected by the kind of results they get but against Madrid I'm the champions league, due to how crucial that game is to them it's very likely that both key players will be playing that game except for injury.

All this should be a more concerned issue for Bayern Munich, they most have seen how Arsenal are playing and winning their games back to back and maintaining their dominance and position in the premier league. Before the game is played, it is now looking one sided, like an uneven game and one team will be more favoured than the other. I mean Real managed to beat City before as well, and last year City managed to beat Madrid, they are both good teams and could beat each other, so it doesn't feel like that would be such a big bore, I think that seems to be the case, I feel like that seems like the most important part. Lately I haven't been following Bayern's Bundesliga games. But I checked it just now and yeah it was quite surprising to see Bayern losing point after point there. Maybe Bayern is no longer enthusiastic about playing optimally in the Bundesliga. Because they know that they can no longer catch Leverkusen there. But Bayern will probably only secure their current position so they can still get tickets to the UCL next season. Bayern's shortcomings may be the same as in the middle of the season.
