I just have news that has me a little shocked! Saudi Arabia wants to ask UEFA that a team from the Saudi League Pro can be included in the next Champions league, through a "wild card" that I honestly did not understand what a wild card was, do you have any news on the matter? is it a hoax that runs on the web?

I have never seen or heard such news. But if the news is true then I think the Champions League authorities will not agree to this. Because the Champions League has something to say about self-esteem.

If UEFA will be accepting it and it must change its name as Union of European and Middle East Football Associations. It doesn't even make sense to see how saudi wanna ask UEFA to include saudi pro league team in UCL.

There have also been loose rumors that the UEFA itself was considering giving two wild cards to two clubs from the Saudi Professional League, but there was no official source anywhere to be found except for some tweets and less reputed websites. It wouldn't come as a huge surprise and maybe it is a test done by the UEFA to find out whether the Saudis already have bigger plans for their own association or something like that.

I mean why not, it can't hurt and we could finally see what happens when Manchester City plays against a club like Al-Nassr.

For me yesterday we saw two very big surprises, the first one its the obvious one, Marseille losing the qualification against Panatinaikos, i ahve to say they have pretty abd luck, they lose the qualy in the last minute and also in extra time they make  goal and was not allowed.

The second one was the victory of AEK against DInamo zagreb. Dinamo its really strong on this stages, i dont know what happen.

Marseille could only win in 90 normal time in second leg, while Panathinaikos had won in the first leg and made the result a draw in 90 normal time. So the match continued to extra time and up to the penalty shootout but unfortunately, Marseille lost on penalties, if Marseille won on penalties, then of course Marseille would qualify. But yes, after all the final result has been obtained and Marseille must fall and congratulations of course to Panathinaikos who managed to qualify.

About Dinamo Zagreb, it seems that they only maximize at half time. Because after all, in the statistics also seen that Dinamo Zagreb who managed to win 1-0 at half time, it seemed to make Dinamo Zagreb reduce the intensity of its attacks in the second half. Above all else you should know that De Bruyne has just got injured and it is a serious one. He is expected to be out for at least 4 months.    This is pretty bad news for Manchester City. Of course they are still a very strong team compared to their opponent. But we can't overlook 2 things here:

- De Bruyne is like the heart of Manchester City. His passes and shots are really unique that his absence will be felt quite much.
- Sevilla are the king of the Europa League so in this game Manchester City had better not underestimate them.

I'm favouring Manchester  City to win anyway of course. But the score might be a close one like 2-1.

Most likely the reason is the underestimation of the opponent, although after the defeat in the first match Marseille should have been more attentive. Returning to the game in extra time gave Panathinaikos some kind of psychological advantage, and penalty shootouts are always a lottery. It is very unexpected to see Marseille fail to make it to the group stage. Now Panathinaikos will face Braga, another very difficult opponent.

I saw a very serious difference between their play in the first leg and this second leg, they should have been able to do the same as this match in the first leg, but unfortunately they couldn't do it so it was a loss that in the end they had to be eliminated.
I agree with you that they probably underestimated their opponents, especially in the first leg. I understand home and away status does matter, but when you look at what they did in this match, they should be able to do it in their away matches as well.

I feel like there are situations where even the best teams could end up losing to worse teams and thats how football is played. I get that it is not going to be easy to handle like that but as long as it's possible, there will always be a chance. I think Marseille goes to europa this way don't they? If thats the case then I am sure that they are going to be fine and there won't be any problems at all. I think it's something that matters a lot and we should be considering them doing a lot better there.

Any team that doesn't do well in UCL would be a lot more glad that they are at europa. Of course financially that's terrible, they do need that kind of money to go there and play in order to make that money, and then be third in their group and go to europa that way.

I would put Man City above Sevilla, as you say Man City is the best team in the world at the moment I agree. Reportedly Kevin De Bruyne will not be able to play in this match, because he is currently injured, maybe De Bruyne will rest for the next few matches. The H2H record between Man City vs Sevilla was won 4 times by City, I think this winning trend will continue in this match.

Since this is the final match, I predict both clubs will play carefully. But the match will finish in normal time and will not reach the penalty round, this is just a personal assumption, Sevilla could turn things around by coming out victorious.

I don't like the idea, lets keep the champions league to Europe and Europe only, I personally don't like all this new rules they keep adding to the football that we knew, it's spoiling it and if UEFA does this then they have spoiled football and I'll be in support of the Super league to replace the champions league because they would have taken the prestige of the league by allowing those farmers with their money to come and spoil everything. My bet is also on Manchester city to win, Sevilla aren't Arsenal that they can frustrate Manchester city by holding them to a draw and winning at penalty shootout. Arsenal plays Manchester city in the premier league regularly so they can always pull some shockers but Sevilla are foreigners and Manchester city will treat them as such. Also this is the first Manchester city super cup and I don't think they're ready to lose it especially not after losing the community shield to Arsenal. Currently they're losing 1-0 in favor of Sevilla and it's the 35th minute but all hopes aren't lost yet as Manchester city are dominating the game (as expected) and Manchester city are still in the game but hopefully they don't flop at their first super cup competition.

If this news have been circulated to other platforms even if those platforms are not reputable ones then there’s an iota of truth in all of this. Those news channel or social media platforms wouldn’t have shared such information if wasn’t rumored to happen or actually in the process of happening.

Having a competitive football game like an inter continent football wouldn’t be a bad idea to me, I just imagine how competitive football will become more and each continent trying to dominate the UEFA competition. What I sensed again is that UEFA doesn’t want the attention of football to be turned to that part, so they’re looking for a way to still attract people to watch them in Europe rather than a divided attention between this two continents.

But it could also have another dangerous effect. A lot of players don't want to leave the European stages because they want to play against the best of the best and the only chance to do that is to play in the UEFA Champions League. That event is a major incentive for players to stay in Europe because they want to build an amazing career for themselves. They also want to earn a lot of money, but that is possible at later stage of their career as we are seeing now. But when the SPL is now getting into the mix of the UEFA Champions League participants, wouldn't that take away an advantage of the European clubs in terms of exclusivity and make players think less negatively about leaving Europe? Sevilla was better until they scored a goal,so in the first 20 minutes they attacked City pretty well. After they scored a goal they just parked the bus and if the game was played for 10 minutes longer City would have scored a goal,but they won on penalties and Sevilla o most got lucky. Still i expected a much better final. First trophy for City this season so things are looking still good for them.

It was a very tough match and Manchester City where very high on their pressing leaving their backline open making it easy for Sevilla who were very brilliant defensively to take advantage of it and counter them mostly in the first half, they used the opportunity in one of their counter attack to deliver the opening goal and a good cross from Cunha made the assist for a fine header from En-Nesyri in 25th minute of the game.
 The abscent of kelvin Debruyne was really felt in the match but one thing i love about Pep Guardiola is that he has a lot of options in his team and Palmer proved that he was indeed a good replacement for Debruyne and scored an equaliser with a header, from a fine cross by Guardiol,the 2nd half was very tough for Sevilla because City pressed more and kept most of the possession even missed a lots of good chances having about 23 shots in total, full-time the match ended up in a full-time draw and led to a penalty shoot-out of which where Victorious scoring about 5 goals and Sevilla scored 4 and missed one, if city had lost the trophy this would have been the 2nd trophy they would had lost this season after losing the community shield to Arsenal however they had a good performance today just that Sevilla where more of the defending side and made it hard for the ball to be delivered to Halland.

 The abscent of kelvin Debruyne was really felt in the match but one thing i love about Pep Guardiola is that he has a lot of options in his team and Palmer proved that he was indeed a good replacement for Debruyne and scored an equaliser with a header, from a fine cross by Guardiol,the 2nd half was very tough for Sevilla because City pressed more and kept most of the possession even missed a lots of good chances having about 23 shots in total, full-time the match ended up in a full-time draw and led to a penalty shoot-out of which where Victorious scoring about 5 goals and Sevilla scored 4 and missed one, if city had lost the trophy this would have been the 2nd trophy they would had lost this season after losing the community shield to Arsenal however they had a good performance today just that Sevilla where more of the defending side and made it hard for the ball to be delivered to Halland.

Sevila performance was really great in today's match against Manchester city who happens to be the star club in the last season and more also one of the leading clubs in the first leg games of this season,  but in tonight match,  Sevila really thought them a great lesson because the held the club down up until the 90 minutes plus was over and also were able to end the match on a draw after a tough penalty shootout,  this performance is indeed what we expect from most of the smaller clubs giving the bigger clubs tough time, this is what excite football fans most,  and it also what makes football an exciting game.
