If Bayern are really serious about this match and use their main squad as the starting eleven then of course Man Utd will really be in big trouble. And victory for Bayern is something we can predict. Its best you direct the poor performance of Manchester United to the players and not the coach. The team has been worst this season, there are still good players in the team but perhaps they cannot cooperate or work together. January is the best time for Manchester United to have a restoration of their lost glory. You are bringing up Martial, but he scored 56 goals in 175 appearances, that is why I think he is not the worst transfer they ever made. But you are right that they made several transfers which were absolute garbage with respect to the return on investment and sometimes they didn't get a real chance to play at all. Mason Mount or Sancho also having infinite trouble with ten Hag.

I think they won't be holding back when there is a possibility to sign a good player, but what will it be good for? They need someone who understands how to bring in new players and make the team stronger. If they don't have someone who understands that, new players are not the solution to a different problem.
