Arsenal played brilliantly and never left Coventry's half of the field. They played with the fitness and form of someone who had already started the league season, not someone who had just begun. Arteta started Havertz instead of Gyökeres, and Havertz scored. The Swedish player should make the most of the opportunities he gets this year because he doesn't want to be a reserve player at Arsenal. The depth of the squad will also make things easier for Arsenal this year, both in the Champions League and the Premier League.

Of course, Arsenal are most favorite to win the premier league this season. They look more of a complete team amongst the big 6 in the premier league. Just look at how they are playing today, very comfortable and very clinical in front of goal. When I look at the big 6 currently, I don’t see any team that can really challenge them this season.

I know it still very early to decide, but how you start you ur season always have an impact in how you go on with the season. The first game is always the difficult one. It been 3-0 so far but I still think we will see more goals in this game.

I believe Mikel Arteta have done a good job so far and I believe he is very capable to take them to glory again.

Lol, you amused me, like seriously, all this praise for a win over a just promoted club from the championship, you're already tagging them the greatest of our time lol this is really hilarious, and I still don't need a prophet to tell you are an Arsenal fans, no doubt Arsenal was good in tonight game but I'm still not impressed nor moved by this winning, until they are faced with a bigger challenge, then I can't start getting convinced that truly they are the favorite for this season English premier League, else I still see them as any random team that is eligible for the English premier League title this season.

But whether we agree or not, they are the favourites. It does not matter if it's early in the season or not. The fact that they are the defending champions makes them the favourites. It was an excellent start of the season for them, and such games give the players the confidence they need before the business end of the season.

I knew Arsenal would defeat Conventry, this was not the first start I expected instead I needed a tough match well ever since I discovered Coventry is the club facing Arsenal I expected more.
Arsenal played a real nice game today, are they the new unstoppable force that will put other team to pressure? Just curious if Arsenal keep maintaining the no losing streak like how they played the champions league last season, eventually Arsenal is very much ready for the new season. As an Arsenal fan, I’m impressed watching Odegaard play really nice, first he started with City and now he scored another goal, a lot of Arsenal fans will understand for a fact he has not been doing well and now watching the captain play really nice is absolutely pleasing, just hope the gunners keep up with same energy.

I never expected a tough game from Conventry because they don't have the qualities up to Arsenal and that was why you see that Arsenal was able to score three goals to seal up their first victory this season.

I don't think that Conventry is even up to an average club in EPL regardless that they won the championship. I look forward to Manchester United match against Hull City tomorrow.

I have to express my anger on the coach and the players because they didn't do what was expected of them in the game, Arteta should learn the Manchester City style to go for as many goals as possible when they have the advantage, 3 :0 gave them the win but there's nothing stopping them from scoring more goals in the game because they dominated and created so many chances but the coach and the players was satisfied by just 3 goals which is nit really good. In all honesty, I was howling with laughter while reading your comment. Congratulating arsenal for winning their today's match is fine by me, but saying that they just proven to be the greatest of all time doesn't make any sense to me.

Come on, Arsenal just played a small team that has only just returned from religation after 25 years of staying out of the top flight, when Arsenal start meeting teams like Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Brighton, Aston Villa. Then we know if they are fit enough to lift the premier League title again this season, as for now they should continue shining while it last.

Things are looking great for Arsenal especially after securing their first win for this season in EPL... Right from when I saw the fixtures I knew for sure that Coventry was no match for Arsenal, since Arsenal themselves has competed and won against bigger and better clubs there in Europe and beyond.. And if they could do this, then Coventry would just be like a piece of cake for them... And lo and behold Arsenal did justice by securing a brutal clean sheet win of 3:0..More wins like this and arsenal are surely gonna win EPL once again..
Am happy that EPL has finally begun, am looking forward to other watches to be played later this week and beyond..Man United has longed been touted since Carrick came along, I am hoping to see how they eat their opponents tomorrow considering their current form and all

I watched Arsenal's game today and to be honest, I think it'll be very difficult for the other top teams in England to stop the reigning English champions from retaining the title at the end of the Sea.

Arteta is already experienced in how to manage the premier league games, he’s had issues a good number of times and had far better managers coming from behind to take the league away from him and right now, the league has lost the likes of Pep and Slot to have done it in his first season and flopped. Arteta and his boys looks like the only team that can do it but, Liverpool has had a good preseason games so, one would expect them to pose some challenge while we still wait on Manchester City to recover from their recent loss to Arsenal and do something in the league.

Arsenal are determined to maintain their dominance of last year and they played in that style. The opposition was weak but Arsenal players showed their usual performance. Coventry could not gain much advantage throughout the match because Arsenal's defense was very strong. Arsenal maintained sole dominance throughout the match and put 6 out of 19 shots on target.

Before the match it was easy to predict that Arsenal would win but the goal difference some expected more but according to the performance a 3-0 win with a goal difference is realistic.

What more would you wish for as a way of starting the season rather than the way arsenal kicked off the season? A three go advantage sitting right on the top of the table is a perfect way of saying we are champions and are here to defend it. Arsenal are the champ and from all indication, they are on the right part in the season already.

The league is still a long way ahead but the journey has always taken a day and a game at a time. Having a perfect start against a weak team is not a complete yardstick to gauge how Thier performance against stronger teams will look like and so, we will allow the season progress before making certain judgment on how easy arsenal will defend their title.

The EPL is just getting started for that is too early to predict which team us going to win the premier league competition this season,  I think we should continue checking if Arsenal will even be able to stay at the top of the league while the competition is going on or gettinng tough, but predicting if Arsenal will win the EPL or not is too early.

I believe the fact they are strong and fully ready for the competition this season again, but predicting whether they will win the EPL from the beginning of the season is what I don't really support.

They will still be targeting the Champions League trophy, especially since Arsenal reached the final last season. Of course, they will do even better this season. However, it's important to realize that it won't be easy due to the fierce competition in the Champions League.
However, I think the Premier League will be a little different. Arsenal are the defending champions and have good strength, and it's even possible they could be stronger than last season. There haven't been many changes compared to the other top Premier League teams. So, I think there's a good chance Arsenal can retain their Premier League title.

Winning over Coventry yesterday with 3 goals didn't stop us from being happy. Coventry City is a promoted team and it is not a serious challenge because in round 2 they will meet Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Facing Coventry City yesterday only showed that Arsenal's squad this season is ready to face the tough competition in the Premier League.
In the Champions League, being optimistic and trying to reach the final again is a big target. The expression on Declan Rice's face when Arsenal failed in last season's final will be a topic of conversation later when we watch Arsenal celebrate.
