I think the game I am very concerned about is Manchester city vs Coventry city, if you check in their statistics I mean their history you will see that this Coventry city of a team has been winning Manchester city back to back but that was far 2002. This is history, so I am wondering if Manchester city will break this record considering the fact that Manchester city in 2002 is not longer the Manchester city now likewise Coventry city. What do you guys think in this game.

You compare history too far, that if you count 24 years ago, then it is unrealistic to compare with the performance of the two teams now.
According to H2H records in Flashscore that Man City have never lost in a row by Coventry City.


Now the comparison of a team that is a potential champion meeting a team that is promoted from the championship, for me Coventry will not be strong against a Maresca team they have a tougher squad.

Isak and Gakpo gave Liverpool a comfortable lead against Ipswich before 10th minutes of the game, after 2 draws in the first two games Liverpool had their first winning in the English Premier league yesterday against Ipswich, Ipswich has also won 1 game in their past 3 games with two draws too. Although i was believing on Liverpool to win Ipswich and that was what happened, Isak scored a brace which two goals was also assisted by Gakpo, i think two draws and a win isn't a poor start for Liverpool.

I was not too convinced with Liverpool in their past two games, so I never believed they could win Ipswich in the manner they did yesterday night, that was the main reason I did not place a bet on them winning, but instead I took the over 1.5 option which played out as expected. So the other games that I took are going to play today, and if they goes my way, I may get a winning day.
Against Ipswich they were more better than how they have been in their first two games that they drew, so if they can continue improving, they may surprise us all and mount a serious title challenge this season.

Good discovery but if I was to bet on the game being played by this two teams, I would bet on Manchester City to beat Coventry City, the reason being just what you've said that Manchester City of 2002 is no longer the Manchester City of today, and another distinct difference is that if conventry city was such a great football club such as Manchester City have become, they would have been just as popular as well.

But here, Manchester City is known all over the world, even a child still in his or her mother's belly knows Manchester City, can same be said about conventry city?

To even do a proper analysis, you have to narrow it down to the current players in the teams and make your judgement based on that and not go too backwards. Based on recent statistics, Manchester city is definitely going away with the win straight up. All those long head to head doesn't count.

Bit then, another thing we can equally consider is the fact that Coventry is new to the premier league at least for now and want to believe they have what it demands playing against some of these big teams. Manchester city is playing for something more than just winning a single game and since they are still eyeing the title, they will want to take this game still seriously.

Liverpool boldly took the bull by the horns today as they took the lead for the first time this season. Isak broke the deadlock on the 6th minutes with an early goal. It was a beautiful goal assist from Gakpo and a classic finish from Isak.

Isak is on fire today as he was able to double his goal and the lead for Liverpool on the 9th minutes to make it two goals in three minutes. What a beautiful start for Liverpool. The first half ended 0-2 in favor of the visitors.

Isak hasn’t yet fully replicated the form he showed while with the Magpies.
For 64 minutes before being substituted for Ryan Gravenberch, Isak played with excellent goal-scoring instincts, and his composure inside the opponent’s box demonstrated that he was worth the price we all know.
Five minutes is a short time to score two goals, and Isak did just that to secure the win for Liverpool.
Gakpo and Isak are the perfect duo for Iraola to execute his strategic and tactical plans.
Next up is the Champions League, and we hope these two players can put on an even better performance against Atlético Madrid.

The Manchester city that you knew in 2002 is not the same manchester city right now. They is a big difference now because this current manchester city is stronger than before,so the result won't be same. This current manchester city will beat Coventry home and away and by a large margin. The era when coventry was dominating manchester city ended a long time,so I believe that manchester city will defeat them easily now.. However,the chances that coventry will beat manchester city is still there but it's very slim,as long as the game is played at the Etihad, manchester city remains the favourite in this match.

It took Liverpool 3 games for them to record a win in the premier league this season, and it is good they win Ipswich yesterday because had the been they draw or lose against Ipswich it would have affected their performance so bad that they could not qualify for top four. Breaking deadlock in football is scoring a goal after a game have lasted for a long time without a goal, so Isak scoring on the 6 minutes is not breaking of deadlock rather they scored early against Ipswich. Since Isak arrived at Liverpool he has not helped Liverpool so much so it is good that he scored brace yesterday and helped Liverpool win Ipswich.

I looked into the old head-to-head you mentioned and there seems to be a small discrepancy. It is true that Coventry have done well against City in the past. But I can't find any information that they beat City twice in a row in the 2001/02 season. What I do know is that Coventry won 4-3 at home that season, but Manchester City won 4-2 in the return match.

Despite that sometimes history tend to repeat, but history as far back as 2002, the Manchester city team and Coventry football team that played as of then and now aren't the same, there has been a lot of changes especially with the Manchester city team, they has been transformed tremendously, City never won any major titles then but now the City is fearful one

The new Aston Villa signings are good players but are not a better replacement for the exited players. With Nicholas Jackson, Alejandro Garnacho, Mbaye, Suzuki, João Gomes, there's every possibility that Aston Villa will still compete for the top 6 position in the league.

Unai Emery has a good record as a coach especially after winning the Europa League last season against Freiburg with a clean sheet. Though selling their top players will affect their form but we should not rule them out completely as a competition for trophies.

Selling off good players simply means you they should be replaced by way better players but that’s not the case here, and with the look of things, he does have some serious work to do with the team this season with his new signings, and that’s why I said there’s still time for the new signings to blend in and role with the coach. I'm not saying Coventry cannot win Man City, but come on, how are you using stats from over two decades ago to judge? A lot of the players of both Man City and Convenntry were not more than two years old the last time the two teams met. That is a long time ago, and things have changed a lot. Anything that is more than five years old is too far when looking at stats.

Man City is currently winning from a Haaland goal, and they are dominating comfortably as expected. If there are no surprises, I'm expecting Man City to score 2 more goals. Let's see if Coventry can score a goal.

It is too early to conclude that the current Manchester City team is a strong one because they have not faced a very strong opponent yet. Even their last match with Arsenal ended 3-0 against them which shows that they are not there yet. Despite that they have won all their matches played this season, we have to wait for them to face at least Chelsea or Arsenal so we can see how strong they really are. Although they have some good players that can still make them win the league if Enzo is able to manage them properly.
