I know the reason people think less of Manchester City is because they either come from behind to win those matches or struggle to win matches, unlike the Arsenal that were winning with less pressure and comfortable playing style.

However even if Arsenal are three point behind Manchester City on the league table now, they will still be regarded as the favourite to win the league ahead of Manchester city simply because of how solid the Arsenal defence is and how porous the Manchester City’s defence look.

This defeat to Brighton was a good reminder for all teams that you can’t afford to relax against any opponent in the Premier League. In this league, a title contender can beat a direct rival and then, just a few days later, drop points against a team you would least expect. These are exactly the kind of matches that often decide the title race.

Teams like Brighton, Brentford, Leeds and Nottingham Forest are teams that are unlikely to win the league but would always be a tough opponent for big teams, you can track back to their H2H games against the big 6 and their result. Arsenal looked lukewarm against Brighton, more like there was no understanding between themselves and it became worse as more goals came in.

Raya was not at his best in that game, though Arsenal's defense was crap. There are wins and there are losses , that's what the Premier league should feel like, Arsenal are not unstoppable in the league.

I tell you. I didn't know this information until recently. Arsenal has arguably been the best team in all of Europe, judging from the performance. Every club has good and bad days, for example my club Manchester United is presently having bad days. Well, I can't Deny the fact that arsenal is one of the strongest team in the premier league this season. But I can't say they are more superior than every other teams especially manchester city and brighton, the truth is arsenal have not played with tough opponents. the teams they have played so far is not that strong compared to others. This comparison isn't really accurate because the team you are fan of, Manchester United hasn't achieved any success in years. But Arsenal had been finishing second for years and finally won the title. As the defending champions, it's only natural that they're the favorites again this year. There's a basis for that confidence. However, what you're saying has no basis. Even if Arsenal were 6 points behind City, they'd still be the strong favorites. There are 2 matches between them and a total of 38 matches in the season, so the race isn't over just because the team suffered one loss.

As for Manchester United, there's not much they can do. They have much bigger problems and it doesn't look like those will be solved anytime soon. So you can keep clinging to that low confidence.

Arsenal fans are always good to have a conversation but a lot o them oftentimes are annoying, Manchester City might be able to do well but if they are underperforming then Arsenal might be able to capitalize on it just like season but if City can be as they were when we all were scared or rated more early then Gunners might not be able to do anything.

The Premier league title is just between the two teams namely Arsenal and Manchester City, it's not going to be any other team because I feel that if Arsenal drops in form, Manchester City will continue winning their matches and vice versa. Just like last week when Arsenal dropped 3 points against Brighton, many people were thinking that Manchester City will drop points against Sunderland but it didn't work. Though I support Arsenal to win the Premier League title again because they need it more than Manchester City since it took them more than 20 years to win it again so they deserve to defend it back to back to prove that they will no longer spend that so much years to win the EPL again. Agreed, I lost money on this "unexpected" result because I placed my casual bet on Arsenal, probably hoping to see them playing their usual attacking style, but all in vain. Probably this first Gunners' defeat will put a damper on their pride  and make respected the potential of any contestant, no matter the level the latter has. I am very disappointed, though it is in Manchester City's interests.

The problem was that Arsenal fans now feel they are undefeatable, they were too confident that no one could challenge them currently especially after the Chelsea victory. They need to understand how the league is and that it doesn't matter how good you are and there are stubborn teams in the league.
It's just a loss, and it's still possible to win the league but they should be prepared for what's coming for them this time around. The competition this season would be far greater than last season and there are signs already, just few matches to the season they are losing in this manner. It's not really the loss but the goals conceded were the problem, now teams won't be intimidated anymore.

Their early defeat shows that it's gon be a tough season for them. Arteta should take that defeat as a challenge in order for him to work on the team to be stronger than how they're currently, if he aims to defend the title this season.

My instincts still tells me that last season was the best season for Arsenal because most clubs weren't in the peak form unlike, this season that these average clubs are winning the big teams.

I agree with that part and that's what I've been saying too. Arsenal's success last season didn't come from pure strenght and PSG proved it.

However, I would say there is still a lot of uncertainty about the form of big English clubs. Manchester City is probably even worse off now than the last season. There's a good chance Arsenal will dominate the EPL again simply because the competitors are struggling yet again.

I think they won't go far in the UCL this season though. Maybe 1/4 or something.

The reason is simply that with the absent of pep in Manchester city, there is a degree of doubt that fans has towards Enzo maresca and quite a lot of fans don't think him capable of doing what Pep did while at Manchester city or that is is capable of being a worthy opposition to Arsenal. The 3:0 defeat that arsenal suffered came as a surprise to most persons and we can not conclude that city are now in better shape compared to arsenal. At least, it is getting clear that winning the league is not guaranteed for anyone and that anyone that will eventually get there will show an high level of consistency in her wins. Arsenal being the defending champions cant afford to continue dropping any further point.

I see a fan who is trying hard to stay positive. We haven't seen the weakness of Manchester City yet and they are trying hard to hide it. For me the title race hasn't gotten a favourite yet until the gap becomes too wide that it's almost impossible to close up. To me both Arsenal and Man City has equal chances to lift the trophy although City has the higher advantage as it stands but been that football is unpredictable no conclusion can be made yet
