I don't care about this promotional video, so it's no big deal what's in it.

What matters is that this fight will happen as scheduled. In reality, this fight doesn't need much effort to market because people will certainly watch it. More marketing might be necessary if the fight were held in neutral territory, but given that it's in Japan where Inoue is currently the best boxer, this isn't needed. People will watch and support him regardless.

And that's why promotional videos are made, because there is already a scheduled fight. If there is no promotion or marketing of this fight, we will not known about it. However, since this is going to happen again in Inoue's backyard, definitely, it won't get any from the US soil specially that he is fighting a non-US fighter.

Only hard core boxing fans are going to watch it from the States. And so it's really betting for Inoue to get out of his comfort zone and go to US as we have been saying.

So promotions are needed even if the fight is going to be in Japan just saying, boxing fans are everyone involved knows that it's needed.

And that's why there are fight that have storyline and hype to make money and let the fans knows that.

Despite of staying on Japan as his battleground and doesnt have the plans on touching up US soil then when it comes to fight revenue then expect that it would be less but since this fight isnt something that could be ignored then people would really be definitely be watching it specially into those local people on which it would really be that normal that they would be showing that support. Doesnt matter if he wont really be
trying to right into other places or country as long he's building up his career records then this is something that they would really be focusing but if they are really having plans when it comes to more
revenue or money making in each fight then it would be best that he should really be going out.

Inoue is already making a name for himself specially on boxing world. Trying out to unify the belt as of this moment with this current weigh division. POpularity would increase if he
would be doing that again on beating up Tapales but lets not remove into our minds about those probabilities considering that Tapales is also a champion so
underestimating him would really be not idea.

One month before the fight, here is the official poster,

However, I don't the video promotion though, there's no highlight for Tapales, he was just shown briefly when he steps on the ring after Inoue defeated Fulton.

Top Rank should have done better than this, https://twitter.com/trboxing/status/1729289372305084627

I cannot believe this fight has less than 1 month of waiting! Does anyone have news updates, articles of boxing analysts and promotional videos? Also, are there videos of their training sessions? I reckon Marlon might be training more for stamina and he might have a style that will take him to a decision very much similar to Nonito Donaire hehe. I am a fan of Inoue, however, I want to watch a thrilling fight between these 2 champions. Also if anyone has observed from my posts, I also like underdogs hehehehe.

^^ I guess you have to follow their social media, specially Inoue as he posted some of his trainings and sparrings, not that much on Tapales though. Maybe he just want to remain private, but obviously he has been training very hard for this.

Yeah, why not? maybe Tapales will have enough stamina to go full 12 rounds, uses his skills, being awkward to caught Inoue off guard and score points.

Or maybe Inoue just waking up in the wrong side of the belt? Anything can happen and if you bet on the underdog then it could be one of your biggest wins this year?

I like the way he will try to score points rather than trying to exchange punches against the monster,
knowing how Inoue beat all his opponents when getting that chance to KO them

For sure it will also happen to Tapales unless he gets his lucky counter punch and brings Inoue down.
Like you said, anything is possible and we don't know if what Tapales is doing to improve not only

his stamina but everything in his skills to gain that chance of winning the fight.

tapales knocking out inoue while in his prime will definitely make Tapales' name be remembered throughout Inoue's career. a slim shot and even if tapales loses, he is going to get credits for it. i've always wanted to see a super underdog suddenly win over a big fish and unify a title.

the one thing that is to look at is inoue is also tireless. most of his fights end in less than 6 rounds but he can survive still agile even up to 12 rounds and still extends his reach to hit his opponent.

Overall it is hard to imagine how Tapales can beat Inoue. Speed, stamina, skills, IQ, and power belong to Inoue. But we've seen in the first Donaire fight that Inoue can also get hurt. So I guess this is the only chance Tapales can exploit. Not necessarily that Tapales has to knockdown or hurt Inoue. But Inoue feeling the power of Tapales makes him less aggressive or even on the backpedal and that is the time when he is vulnerable. The biggest question however is if Tapales has the power to make Inoue respect him.

Tapales only has 19 KOs of his 37 wins but in his last 11 victories, he stopped 10 of them. That made me believe that he might have enough power to hurt Inoue if the Japanese get reckless or caught by the awkward style of Tapales.

Many people believe that if Inoue fought Donaire during his prime, he would have been KO'd when he was hit by a solid counter punch. As we have witness in that fight, we saw how Inoue has a solid chin that he was able to absorb those heavy shots and stay in the game, and win.

This is a different scenario though,  if Tapales will turn out to be a winner, we can call this a Cinderella story just like the movie as the expectation to win si not on him, in fact some folks just betting on how long Tapales would last, which is a big disrespect to him being a champ also.

Let's see.... I can't wait to see this fight so speculation would stop, but personally I'm not expecting a miracle here, I just want to see an explosive fight, regardless if Tapales will win or not.

What miracle do you mean? Is it if Tapales will win this fight? Sorry mate, I think I would disagree with you on that because Tapales is also a champion and we've seen how determine he is to win by doing hard training, so supporting our own here is the right thing to do, maybe not what you want but I'd say the right thing.

Me, I don't care if Tapales winning the fight is called a miracle as long as he wins. It's pretty much obvious how fans sees this fight, there was a survey I read before and 80% believe Inoue will win this fight, so Tapales being the heavy underdog winning is already a big miracle.

You're right there, supporting our own is good, but you can't force someone who he would support as we have our own right especially if you are not only a sports enthusiast but a gambler as well. As a gambler you don't follow your heart when choosing the winner as that's a complete bias which will likely result in a lose.

Yes, it could be just an upset, maybe him winning against Akhmadaliev could categorically be call as miracle as well because literally no one thought that he can do that. But he eventually beat Akhmadaliev in a close fight by decision.

You're right there, supporting our own is good, but you can't force someone who he would support as we have our own right especially if you are not only a sports enthusiast but a gambler as well. As a gambler you don't follow your heart when choosing the winner as that's a complete bias which will likely result in a lose.

And there are many fans here who will support Tapales no matter what. Of course, Inoue will be Inoue, he is setting records already and he is the favorite in this fight. But in boxing, just one punch can turn the fight around, just saying. If Tapales has done it before, then maybe he can duplicate his success against the monster.

Unfortunately, not much of a video coming from Tapales camp, in any case, here is one,

https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/11/30/23/boxing-marlon-tapales-on-the-verge-of-making-history

It's from a local tv station from the Philippines. Yeah, for sure, who wouldn't love the underdogs? we've seen great live underdogs in the past and betting on them is a huge risk, but for guys like you, it's going to be worth taking that risk, hehehe.

Yes, it could be just an upset, maybe him winning against Akhmadaliev could categorically be call as miracle as well because literally no one thought that he can do that. But he eventually beat Akhmadaliev in a close fight by decision.
I know he was a heavy dog that fight against Akhmadaliev, but comparing Akhmadaliev to Inoue, there's a big difference here as Inoue is a superstar, included in the top 3 pound for pound ranking, so this is more like a real definition of a miracle, his win against Akhmadaliev was just a mere upset.

Tapales' name is  not popular in the boxing community, so they'll be surprise if Tapales will win here. However, if we try to look back on the previous fights of Inoue, it's easy to tell that Tapales has a very slim chance of winning despite people say that Tapales have train hard for this fight.

But like I stated, I would be happy if Tapales would win.

^^ Right, who wouldn't like to see a underdog, specially a Filipino beat the Japanese monster. Before we say that it could be Casimero as he almost got the chance to show us if he can or can't. But now, it's another Filipino, in Marlon Tapales that we will see if he has what it takes to pull that upset.

And there could be some of us who believes that he can do it, or those who just love to bet on a live underdog and see if the can live on that expectation as Tapales is no stranger for making doubters his believers. So we will see, it's less than a month from now, there are promotional video already and Tapales deep in his training in the Philipines.

This is great for Tapales since almost everyone including most of his countrymen doesn't believe in him, he could just use this as fuel to be motivated and have high aspirations to beat Inoue because this is a great madness because I haven't even witnessed such kinds of humiliations where even Filipinos are laughing at him just by picking the fight with Inoue. He should come up with a working plan to beat the monster and it would be the greatest upset of all time in boxing history if ever that happened.

Yes, there are boxers that are good at it, to be motivated because no one believed in them. I do understand why some Filipinos are against him, yeah, read the some comments on some social media, in youtube as well. Saying that they love Tapales as their countrymen but they are going to bet on Inoue.

So if Tapales has the proper mentality here, he used not be discourage but used this to fuel the fire in himself, at least manifest that he can beat Inoue and he should play this in his mind. There was also interview of Conor about this kind of out of box training. In any case, there should be no pressure for Tapales, just do his best and just believed that he will beat Inoue.

I am not yet sure if I will bet on Marlon Tapales because Inoue's boxing dominance is clearly only beginning hehe. However, I reckon within 10 years if Inoue still active and a young and hungry fighter moves up in the sport of boxing, this might be the right time to start betting against him. A storyline that will be something similar to Barrera vs. Pacman hehehe.

Inoue is indeed much better and he also has the advantage of becoming an undefeated boxer, he also managed to become boxer with the undisputed champion title twice in year, this is why many people think Tapales will only lose to Inoue.
Even so, Tapales has more experience, he knows what to do to be able to match or create pressure on Inoue so that Tapales can find weak point and hit him until he falls.
Maybe many people think that Tapales is only small enemy for Inoue because they see Inoue achievements during his career with various championship titles, but they forget that Inoue opponent is Tapales, he is also former undisputed champion and this could be historic fight for Japanese and Filipino.
From what has happened with various nonsensical talks and rumors about Tapales, I sure that he is Filipino boxer who can make Inoue feel what defeat is.

That's still a long way to go though, 10 years of pure dominance, I don't know if there will be such fighter to do that. Only fighter we have seen is Manny, although he has lost along the way but dominated boxing in different era.

But obviously, it's a cycle, when the great are already in a decline, sooner or later there will be young fighters that are going to move up and beat them. Just like what Manny did to Barrera and so other many great fighters, as if passing the torch to them.

Inoue is a special fighter, he had some skills that aren't present on other champions. I believe he is even good than Pacman in terms of skills, but I doubt he'll surpass the sucecss of Pacman as Inoue is not as aggressive as Pacman who are willing to move up to challenge the champions, and that's the reason why Pacman have made history being the only 8 division world champion.

I'm not closing the chance for Inoue though, but if doesn't want to take higher risk of moving up, best he will end is probably 6 division world champion only which has been achieve by some boxers.
