Yes, and we all witness what happened before where heavy favorite lost with the underdog, we don't know what will be the
outcome as both fighters never meet inside the ring yet.

Not saying that it can be the same outcome, but most of the fans believe before that Canelo will easily beat up Bivol but the outcome
of the fight turned to Bivol side.

Just an example but still Inoue's percentage of winning still by far against Tapales, risky taker will need that big nerve to place a bet for Tapales.
This fight will be the one of the biggest fight in this year we all know how popular inoue is  and  for sure many people will bet on his side as they think that the monster  will release his anger inside the ring. But what you said mate is correct we don't know the outcome yet of this right cause they didn't meet before inside the ring. And for sure in this fight both fighters will do their very best in order to prevent lossing.

Feel bad for Tapales about to many people thinking he will be automatically lose with this fight. To many boxing fans didn't have confidence on his capability to defeat Inoue that's why its time for him to show up some good motivation since if he can show to the whole world on this upcoming match with Inoue that he can able to defeat him then for sure all those haters mouth will be totally shutdown. He need to motivate his self to fight more harder so I guess for this I go with Tapales and bet then let see how everything goes with it since sometimes I love to bet on underdogs.

Yeah, but he can turn that into motivation and shows many people wrong about him. But you can't blame those boxing fans though, I mean with the way the Inoue is destroying anyone, it's not that he beat them thru score cards, but he just steamrolled everyone with vicious power and knockout.

So all is now on the shoulder of Tapales, to again, show his fans and his critics that he is not afraid of the monster and he see himself being him in his own backyard. It could be thru the judges score card or he caught Inoue and knockout him out.

Yes that's why he need to show that he's capable of everything and he is a champ for a reason that's why he really need to make those doubts into a huge motivation to train more harder then perform like a monster which people didn't thought about it. For so many times he's name always called as a loser on this match then he should not waste any time to relax since he need to be more better since he is facing a huge challenge on his boxing career. If he can able to win against Inoue for sure there's a lot of hype will gain for his name and for sure he will get more bigger fight which high pay cut after that so this is a huge boost to his career if he do more better on his upcoming match against  Inoue.

Just like Pacman when he fought Barrera for the first time, no one believed that he would win but he shocked the boxing world with that KO win.

But Manny Pacquiao at that time was showing a good winning rate in defending his Super Bantamweight title. His name is already popular and he is considered to have a potential to be a great boxer different from the status of Marlon Tapales today. Naoya Inoue is really on a different level and it's really hard to accept that Tapales has no advantage to anything against him.

Tapales is really up against a beast. I hope that the long preparation to this fight will somehow boost Tapales strength, enough to hurt Inoue's steady defense. But on the other hand, with this long preparation too, Inoue also got an advantage to boost his own advantage too.
Man, how I wish we had the odds back that day when he fought Barrera. I was not yet into gambling at that time or if I did it's just a bet against a friend. The real numbers on gambling sites though, I don't know. I bet Manny was also an underdog at that time.
But you are right bro, Manny was already one of the good fighters before he fought Barrera and this is different.

Marlon Tapales is a technical boxer which means he must avoid all the haymakers that Naoya Inoue will throw or else he will see himself lying on the canvas. But I do like to give my full support for Tapales here and I won't even hesitate to put a bet under his name. Being a Filipino brother is still stronger than being a fan of his opponent.

Inoue all set now, ready for that unification fight with our very own Marlon Tapales.

https://twitter.com/naoyainoue_410

And if by chance Inoue win this and become unified champion again, he will be my fighter of the year.

Although there are a lot of fighters like David Benavidez winning against Plant and then Andrade, and we also have Haney against Loma (controversial), and then winning his first belt at 140 against Regis Prograis, I don't think it will hold against the path that Inoue did for this year, destroying the best champion at 122 lbs in Fulton get's his two belt and then has a chance to unify against Tapales and then becoming 2x undisputed and unified champion at the bantamweight and super bantamweight, that is a big accomplishment.

But this is for another discussion.  Grin
Damn! Scary abs.
He was already the fighter of the year for me when he climbed the mountains in the Bantamweight division. What he did was not an easy feat, and he almost lost to Donaire back then with a bleeding face. He unified those belts with literally blood and sweat.
Just looking at him, I cannot find a weakness. His body is crazy and I bet those are like steel, he also has a tough chin.  Tapales will need to work harder if he badly wants to defeat that dude. If this battle ends in the 12th round, Tapales might be the winner.
And still two weeks from the fight and Inoue already looks very sharp in those images. So there's no underestimating Tapales on their side, they know that it could be another hard fight for them as Marlon has the 2 belts that Inoue wanted to become unified champion again.

Tapales might have a good chance if the fight goes to distance.

Maybe careful spacing in the early rounds will do for him. Used his awkwardness to throw Inoue early and let him adjust to his fight, not the other way away. So even if he has a small chance to win, for sure Tapales will go for it as this is just another fight that he is a big underdog. In his last fight, he won against the huge Akhmadaliev and maybe here he can do it again.

It is stomach that has withstood many punches from various boxers he has defeated, and looking at his condition now, he is really very serious and ready to fight Tapales.
Tapales is boxer who once held world championship titles in two weight classes, including the WBA and IBF super bantamweight titles.
Tapales also received support and became the favorite boxer after successfully defeating Murodjon Akhmadaliev which took place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port, San Antonio, Texas last April.
In the event of fight between Inoue and Tapales there might be various unexpected surprises from the two fighters, only that Inoue suffered an injury which postponed his previous fight against Fulton.
I don't know if he will get injured again if Tapales fights aggressively, but if that happens then it clear Tapales can take advantage of the opportunity to beat him.
But seeing Inoue succeed in collecting four championship belts is truly amazing and he is like boxer who is nicknamed hunter because of his ambition to master all the classes he wants.

Marlon Tapales has experience fighting Japanese boxers to win the WBO bantamweight title from Japanese boxer Shohei Omori in 2017.
But naoya inoue is not a bad boxer he is a great boxer monster ko with a fighting record of 25 wins with 22 of them won by ko without ever losing.
I think naoya inoue will win this match.
And this match is played in Japan home base or inoue's home country which of course will be supported by his supporters who come a lot at the match venue.

The good thing about this fight for Tapales is there is no pressure on him as he is the huge underdog of this fight. Yeah, he can turn that underdog status as a motivation to do well for this fight, easy to say but i know it is very hard to do but he ain't called "The Nightmare" for nothing.

The only chance for Tapales to win is to win by KO not a decision win as seldom a challenger wins via decision in Japan.

If Inoue couldn't hurt Tapales early in the fight then that slim possibility to KO Inoue might come to fruition when the Monster is already tired in the championship rounds hehe.

He could still win though by decision, that is if the judges are not going to be biased, but for sure it's going to be international referee so I don't think that they are going to favor someone here.

And if the clear winner for rounds is Tapales and then this fight goes to 12 full rounds? There is a chance as well that he can win by decision. Might be some pressure though in his shoulder as if he wins he will be the first Filipino if I'm not mistaken that is going to unify a belt in any weight class.

Unfortunately, all the fighters Inoue fought were hurt by his power punches I have not seen a fighter whom he did not hurt that is why he has the title the Monster because he can hurt anyone, the closest fight he had gone was the first match against Donaire, but every fighter has their weakness and its on Tapales team to see Inoue's weakness and try to exploit it.

I will be happy if Tapales can survive the whole fight and even if he loses by decision he has something to be proud of because Inoue always comes to knock out his opponents and he always goes all out just to achieve that.
But I will be very excited and happy if he wins although it's a tall task there is such a thing as a lucky punch, the one that brought down Tyson in his fight against Douglas.

If Tapales would really be something more faster with Donaire and having also that endurance or toughness then we could really be able to say that he would really be having a good shot on defeating Inoue
but we shouldn't really avoid the fact that if they do make out those kind of counter approach then for sure Inoue do make out some adjustments as well. We do know that whenever you do see your flaws or on where you are weak then fighter or their trainers would really be making out that kind of changes and adjustments because it would be no doubt that these things would really be used against them specially on the future
fights that they would be encountering. This is why it would really be that best that Tapales should make out some counter out of counter because if he wont really be that making adjustments then Inoue would really be having something up into his sleeve.

We are really that fast approaching for this fight and tons of fans are really that rooting for Inoue to have some other TKO add into his stats but pretty sure that there would really be those
people or fans who are really that rooting for Tapales to win up into this fight. Well, we cant really be able to tell but if Tapales would be having those things that i had
mentioned above then he might really have that chance.

Correct, the Donaire vs Inoue I was the last time we have seen the Monster in a not so good position. Nonito even broke Naoya's orbital bone that time and he was close to beating him. However, Donaire lost because he has no stamina to finished the fight and Inoue's youth takes over. And what's scary is that after this fight, Inoue improved by leaps and bounds and then started to just breaking down every fighter he fought, including Nonito in their rematch.

I will be happy if Tapales can survive the whole fight and even if he loses by decision he has something to be proud of because Inoue always comes to knock out his opponents and he always goes all out just to achieve that.

To some extend, surviving against Inoue would be consider as a win for Tapales and be proud that he is not one of those victims of Inoue again. But we will see if Tapales is really motivated not just ot survived but also win also the chance is very slim.

Most people are going for actual results in most recent times, so I don't blame them if they automatically root for Inoue considering that a few of his last bouts are against boxers that are deemed as someone who are the best of their weight classes. I'm not discounting Tapales by any means, but it's natural that people will pick someone based on their performance in the ring. We see how fast Inoue can deliver punches and knockouts, and how good his defense is. He's a well-rounded fighter that rarely does any mistakes. Tapales' win against Akhmadaliev is a split decision too, considering that his enemy is newcomer in the professional boxing scene when he can easily. There's just a lot of factors favoring the Japanese boxer in this bout and it's not really bad if you support the guy based on facts.

Well I have always thought something, for me Inoue is a very good boxer, not only is he going to beat Tapales because he is a boxer who has always had respect for others, but he is a boxer that I am sure he can fight 365 days a year trains, what happens is that he doesn't say it, but come on, the shape he has, you can see that he has always been a fairly strong boxer, with a lot of technique, and that is what makes him win easily, if we see the His fights are like training, I have never seen him suffer, he is truly above the other boxers, even though he is now in another category he looks like nothing, he does it very well and they have no There is no problem with doing any fight, the truth is I don't see this fight as good, he should fight against a bigger one, it is a good fight, but I don't see it as exciting, but one more for him to look good, but the truth is it is a impressive thing.

The truth is, when I go to see Inoue's fight, I like to enjoy it, because his technique is very beautiful, it is rudimentary but at the same time it is elegant, he combines a unique style, I like him for that, and he also has a style that is defensive -attack, he does not suffer in a fight, I always see him comfortable, and what I like most about Inoue is that he is not a boxer who is so provocative, he always respects, he maintains a unique Discipline, the one that every athlete usually have, because in the majority of boxers they always look for fights, they talk too much , they go to the Media and they can do different things, sometimes the language does not help them because when they talk too much they look bad in front of the fans , that is a bad thing, Their reputation is on the ground when they lose , I Understand how things are when it comes to the show because it is usually like that, but even so I don't see it as correct, instead Inoue responds, he Only Concentrates on fighting and winning, he goes Bad for Inoue, he is a great boxer for me.

This is where you can really tell that some people do really make out their study or research or basing up with those facts basing up on what they had witnessed or seen.
This is why it cant be blamed out that people would really be rooting for Inoue considering on the capability and speed on which we arent that blind on not to see if we do trying out to compare
Inoue's performance against other boxers recently comparing into Tapales on which there's really that significant difference among the two. Just like the rest been saying
that there would really be adjustments be made which it would be normal. I cant really wait to see this fight considering that we are already 10 days left for this said fight.
Hope that there would be no delays or move of schedule.

The good thing about this fight for Tapales is there is no pressure on him as he is the huge underdog of this fight. Yeah, he can turn that underdog status as a motivation to do well for this fight, easy to say but i know it is very hard to do but he ain't called "The Nightmare" for nothing.

Oh I never heard of his monicker in the past though, but yeah, "The Nightmare" seems scary, but I don't think that Inoue will be affected by it. And there's no mind games here, I mean both can't speak English as it is not their first language and for sure Tapales needs interpreter if he wants to trash talk Inoue but it's not going to happen as he is more focus on the fight itself.

There's no doubt that it will be great to see him scoring a vicious knockout and win in Japan, and that could really be literally the end of the year upset.

But it's very slim, Inoue has a good chin that hasn't been crack as he is a complete fighter, and "Monster" is very aptly monicker for him.

Not a good reference to consider if you are looking for any advantage for Tapales. Even he fought several Japanese boxers before, we are talking about Naoya Inoue here and we should know why he was even called a Monster in every division he reign. He's really on the other level.

Not even showing any signs of being bulky despite weight increase. That's how disciplined Naoya Inoue is.

And let's face it, even this match will happened in the Philippines, there's really no way how Tapales can match Inoue technically. By almost all aspect, Inoue is dominating in every thing. Sad to say that I don't see how Tapales will win here. But if ever he upset Inoue here, this will be the Fight of The Year, I'm sure about that.

Of course, we can't compare the style of Naoya to any Japanese fighters that Tapales has fought. He is very different obviously and above the current breed of Japanese fighters and could make a history for them, becoming a 2 division unified champion.

As for his body, yeah, that's why we said or even himself that he can still go up to 1-2 division more because his body can mature in the future and then can't make the 122 lbs anymore. But going to be tougher to go 126 and higher.

Although there are talks of a super fight between him and Tank Davis.

That will be a great fight Inoue vs Davis, but the only thing that we can see is that both are 5'5 in height and Davis obviously the natural 135 lbs here.

Barely 10 days from this fight, I think Tapales had settled down already. And in his interview, he said he is not bothered to be the underdog as he is used to it and so far he is doing a great job at beating those favorites.

And his team believes that Inoue has weaknesses that they can exploit. So for sure we are going to see this fight and Tapales can accomplished what no other boxer has done before, take that 0 from Inoue and unify the belt.

Time flies, the wait will be over soon as we will have a great christmas present watching this fight.
As to the question if it's entertaining or not, obviously the answer is yes because these two champions are aggressive, they aren't boring to watch.
Honestly, I'm a bit worried on Tapales here as he might be over confident that would lead to being careless. Knowing Inoue's power, Tapales should be careful and has to remain a counter puncher, and to be able to do that job effectively, he has to gain some quickness.

That's what we should find out soon, however, I've seen many of these in the past where the opponents of Inoue promise to give Inoue and tough fight and bet him, but in the end, it still look like a one sided beat down by Inoue.

Six days more go and it's fight night. This fight will not be boring for sure as both fighters are explosive. One fighter is going to kiss the canvas soon, i just hope that its not Tapales who will be lying in the floor being counted by the referee lol.

It's a good thing for Tapales that Nonito Donaire has some advice on him on what to do because, at one time, Inoue has almost suffered a defeat on the hands of the Filipino Flash.

We are hoping that way because it's our way to support Tapales. However, if in case he'll be the one who will kiss the canvas, I'm sure we will not be surprise anymore as Inoue is known to be a powerful puncher.

Anyways, there's this circulating online rumors about Inoue cheating, I hope Marlon's camp will be careful, make sure that the gloves of Inoue is not loaded so the fight will be fair and square. Maybe that's the reason why Inoue choose to fight in Japan only because he was favored their, the regulating body might be silent and would just support him, I hope rumors are not true though.

It's a good thing for Tapales that Nonito Donaire has some advice on him on what to do because, at one time, Inoue has almost suffered a defeat on the hands of the Filipino Flash.

Let me guess. I think the suggestion is, "be careful all the time". Because in the 2nd game, Donaire wasn't careful, he was too aggressive and forget on his defense.

What could be that advice though? I have to check as this is the first time that I heard of it. But I will speculate that Nonito advise Tapales not to rush and relax and just wait for that opportunity to come. Because as you have said, in their first fight, Nonito almost upset Naoya Inoue and he is the last boxer to give Inoue a close fight.

But in the second fight, Donaire changes his strategy and did go toe to toe against Inoue. And it was a dangerous strategy as Nonito was caught by that big counter left if I'm not mistaken and it was over in 2 rounds.
