No one could've thought of such a defeat. The team being smashed on the home ground is another thing that makes it a very bad experience for them. Siraj ruled the game with his 6 wickets for 21 runs. The best part he had made the record of taking 5 wickets bowling just 16 balls. I watched the toss and saw Sri Lanka starting the innings and suddenly while checking the score India have begun batting. The only came to know that Sri Lanka have made just 50 runs losing every wicket. A final match of a tournament shouldn't be this bad.

I don't understand one thing whether in this match India played with Srilanka or Srilanka played with India. How can a team that defeated the likes of Pakistan and Bangladesh to reach the final get bowled out by just 50 runs to India? It was beyond our imagination that the final match of the Asia Cup would be so bad. India were definitely favorites in the final match but we never imagined that they would beat Sri Lanka so badly. India and Pakistan were expected to play the final match but that expectation did not materialize as Sri Lanka, on the other hand, played the final against India. There is nothing else to write about this match. I just want to forget the final match of this Asia Cup tournament. 

Kudos to both teams for finishing this match in a very quick time.

When the toss was done, the sun was shining bright which led to Srilanka believing that the pitch would help batters. After the toss rain started pouring heavily and covers were brought upon the pitch. There was a delay of one hour approximately due to the rain, the covers caused the pitch to get moist. This moist on the pitch helped bowlers like Shiraz who is known for outswing and inswing bowling. If you check the first wicket taken by Bhumrah it was an outswing that the batter thought would come into the wicket.

Srilankan batters wanted to up the run rate as they expected rain interruptions. If DLS came into effect when the Indian team is to bat then the NRR is taken into consideration to decide the target runs given by the Srilankan team. That was the reason they were going after every ball, whereas they could have left those balls that looked unplayable. Wickets kept on falling because of some stupid batting too. In short yesterday was a combination of bad luck and excellent bowling.

Those who understand cricket and love cricket would never expect such a match in the final of the Asia Cup tournament. If I were an India fan, I would have expected the game to be a hard-fought game and a hard-fought India to win the Asia Cup tournament. India played a final match where they had no time to celebrate. When an ordinary match is full of excitement, there is a lot of attraction and excitement around that match, but the match that took place in the final of the Asia Cup tournament will not be remembered for long. The fans will remember for a long time that kind of match that the home country won the match very hard. If we had known or realized that Sri Lanka would perform like this, we would never have seen Sri Lanka as a finalist.

Overall performance of Srilanka was good in this Asia cup. There were no experience players, They beat Top team Pakistan which should be appreciated. India performance was unbelievable except the match they lost to Bangladesh. Anyway this is cricket and anything possible. This is not first time that good team all bowled out by scoring low.

Strange I did not see Wasim Akram talking about a fix. If he did then he would be missed in the commentary box in the World Cup. What @pakhitheboss said is actually trues. If India had lost the finals then he would talked about the flaws in Indian team. I have seen in the past that it is not that easy for Pakistani ex-cricketer to believe India is dominating over their existing team. How can they as they were the ones in their time who dominated every India vs Pakistan match.

India always a good team but recently India performance is excellent. India  pressed pressure on Sri Lanka . That's why Sri Lanka loses all wickets in 50 runs. Muhammed Siraj is not a best bowler but God give respect him  . No one expect this. Muhammed Siraj will be expose is World Cup, in Asia cup final it was luck that worked but in World Cup there will be South Africa, Australia, England. Siraj bowled brilliantly and then there were some outstanding catches and then some amateur batting from the Sri Lankan batters, throwing the bat even when they are 4 down, not even trying to understand the length and bounce of the ball.

Actually, everything went from bad to worse for Srilanka in the final, they never expected the pitch would become unplayable for their batter. You should have looked at Chris Silverwood's face when he was asked what happened to Srilanakan's batting. He did not have any answer and looked clueless. In my opinion, they are now one of the worst teams to be part of the World Cup. The two teams that are looking good are India and England.

The constant nagging by Pakistani ex-cricketers does not matter to me anymore. You should have seen the match analysis by Shoaib Akhtar before the final match and after the final match. You will understand why the global cricket fraternity does not take them seriously anymore. If Wasim Akhram had said those words then BCCI would have taken action against him and we would come to know about it when we do not hear his commentary in the upcoming tournament.

India VS Australia bilateral series latest update.

The world number 2 and the number 3 top teams as per ICC ranking will be playing against each other tomorrow. It has now been confirmed by the Australian captain Pat Cummins that both Micthell Starc and Glenn Maxwell will miss the match. Starc, Maxwell, and Cummins along with Steve Smith missed the tour of South Africa due to injuries in the Ashes. For now, Micthell Starc and Glenn Maxwell are still not ready due to their injuries. Found this news on X.com, I do not think it will hamper the Australian side performance, as BCCI did some big changes while selecting the team for this match.

Major difference is that Australia is struggling with injuries, Travis Head already ruled out of the World Cup, Pat Cummins, Steven Smith and Mitchell Starc are coming back from injuries and Glenn Maxwell is not completely fit to play, on the other hand India is looking for the best combinations to play in the World Cup and are experimenting with Ashwin, Washington Sundar and giving more game time for Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav.
