The younger players are simply not emerging through the ranks and that shows the weakness of the domestic system in Bangladesh. They don't have a proper first class system and even now the Dhaka-based clubs dominate the domestic sector. Unless there is a revamp in the domestic setup, the situation is not going to change.

As per my understanding a team needs at least 6 wins to qualify for the semi-finals. Bangladesh has played 5 and lost 4. Even if they win all of their remaining matches, they are not going to qualify (especially with such a horrible net run rate). As of now, India, New Zealand and South Africa are almost confirmed of a semi-final berth. The big surprise here is New Zealand. Their form was pathetic during the last 1-2 years and two of their best players are not in the XI as a result of injury (Tim Southee and Kane Williamson). Even then they have managed to silence their critics.

De Kock scored 174 who is playing his last ODI World cup and he looks in some form. Markram played captains innings whereas Klassen shamed No.5 of many teams with his consistent performance and brutal hitting. Millar too was in form as he hit 4 sixes at the end. The bowling was right on spot and it was easy job for them when they had 382 to defend And All out in 233/10.

LOL.. what is the point in these sort of odds? Australia with odds of 1.005. That means that if you bet $100 for them and if they win, you will end up with a profit of $0.5. Does this make any sense? At least it should be 1.05 instead of 1.005. On the other hand, the odds for Netherlands also doesn't look attractive. I would have considered making a bet, in case they had odds of 20-22. But 10 is a bit too low, and not worth taking the risk. But still, I would not take Netherlands lightly. They have one upset win to their name already.

But the Netherlands as a new team will never win against Australia. We all know this naturally. But it cannot be asserted that Australia will win Today. You never know what happens in cricket. It is not impossible that Netherlands can beat Australia in today's match. I think Australia will win this match today. A win in today's match is very important for Australia to survive in the next round. Both Australia and Netherlands have played four matches each with Australia winning two matches and Netherlands winning only one match.
