Tanjid Hasan Tamim showed a sensational batting style of 84 runs against Sri Lanka in their first warm-up match in the World Cup. Bangladesh vs England today match Bangladesh are batting first and they have already lost 4 wickets. In today's match, Bangladesh's batting performance is not in a very good form due to which Bangladesh team could not collect good runs. The practice match between these two teams has started. NZ won the toss and are batting first, they have lost Young. Williamson and Conway are looking good, looks like a partnership in the making. As it is a practice match I am not expecting these two batters to stay till the end. After they score 50 runs they might retire Hurst, as seen last time. The pitch doesn't favour the bowlers but sometimes the ball can remain low.

Looking briefly at the match between the two is not very interesting and doesn't show a game that is exciting enough although there are some that look very impressive and maybe you watch until the end and can get the excitement from this match but from the start there is no interest so only watch for few minutes.

That is the only game I believe would be played without any rain interruption. As it is a practice match I am also not excited but I feel this will be the game that will have a close finish. The reason is that New Zealand batters have batted well and after losing only 4 wickets they have scored 279 runs. I think they are eyeing 300+ as a target for South Africa and they still have 5 overs left in the game. Now the big hits will start which always interest me. I think 300+ won't be a big target for South Africa considering the number of inform batters they have in their batting lineup.

Bangladesh have decided to bat against England before their last warm-up match before the World Cup. Tanjim Shakib opened the account of the first run by hitting a six.  Bangladesh Tigers started very well. But unfortunately the Bangladesh Tigers could not make the good start last long. England got a great win against Bangladesh by 4 wickets, which was a really interesting game. Bangladesh could not bowl very well in today's match due to which England could not put pressure on the team, if the bowling performance could have improved, then it would have been difficult for England to win today's match. However, many predictions were made beforehand that England will win today's match against Bangladesh in a big way, and that prediction has come true. England's batsman Moeen Ali played brilliantly and collected a lot of runs with his bat, which delighted the crowd. England won by 197 runs in 24.1 overs, today's match was played in 37 overs due to rain, England won in 24.1 overs, the match was really interesting.

If the game is stopped at one stage due to rain, the game starts in DLS mode when the rain stops. Here the DLS method is not a bad method. This DLS is basically resource sharing between two parties. How many overs are left and how many wickets are left, a percentage is drawn and based on this percentage the DLS method is given. I have discussed another topic but the same topic needs to be discussed again here. Bangladesh cricket team is getting dull day by day because they can never improve the way they started. Because Bangladesh cricket team is full of politics now. Countries whose cricket teams are full of politics will never improve in cricket. I think Bangladesh cricket team can improve from the day it becomes free from politics. Moreover, it will not be possible to improve.

For the semis, I'd go with the usual suspects because it's freaking 10 teams tournaments. Quite a hilarious and pathetic scene at the same time.

India + Australia + England are fixed as these teams usually cover their all departments. Be it bowling, batting or fielding. Aussies are a bit short in the spin department tho.

Then we have to bet on 4th semi finalist. Traditional wisdom says New Zealand and Pakistan but this time South Africa is looking alright too.

I will go with South Africa and Newzealand who will be fighting for the 4th one in the semifinals. South Africa has suddenly emerged as a team that could create some bad memories for the top 3 you predicted. Pakistan I would have chosen them before the Asia Cup fiasco. They are visibly struggling with their bowling department. Fielding was never their upselling point and is okayish as per me, batting depends on whether Babar and Rizwan are able to score big.

Pakistan would have been one of the favorites if they had the trio of Naseem Shah-Shaheen Shah-Haris Rauf in their bowling lineup. But Naseem is out due to injury, and Haris is also not 100% fit. Then the fact that they don't have a quality spinner is going to work against them in the Indian pitches. The batting trio of Babar-Fakhar-Rizwan looks formidable, but in recent matches all three have been in volatile form. And the biggest challenge would be in adjusting to Indian conditions. Unlike players from other teams, Pakistani players don't take part in the IPL and therefore don't have much experience in playing under Indian conditions.

Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka match, it cannot be said for sure which team can win. But probably the team that can play well in today's match will win, moreover, Afghanistan's first warm-up match today. Given Sri Lanka's loss to Bangladesh in their first match, there is no telling how well they will perform against Afghanistan today. But we will see a good amount of interesting games between the two teams today.

India vs Netherlands match, we can definitely say India is the strongest team, so they will win. We all know that Netherlands will lose this match as the Netherlands is a much normal team compared to India. Accordingly, we can expect India to win today's match easily.

Both the teams are strong in the Australia vs Pakistan match, so we will enjoy an interesting game between the two teams at best. It is very difficult to predict which team will win today's match, as both the teams have excellent batting and bowling. However, as Pakistan lost the match against New Zealand, today's match may be more likely to be won by Australia.

These matches I have predicted, I think they may be correct, but it is very difficult to guarantee so much by making predictions, they may not be correct. But I have personally confirmed this prediction, but no one will bet on this prediction again, only I have personally confirmed it.

There is virtually zero chance that the India vs Netherlands match will take place. One of my friends just called me and told that it is raining continuously for the last 6-7 hours. Even if the rains stop, play won't be started as a result of wet outfield. Remember that India's first warmup (vs England, which was supposed to be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati) was washed out as a result of rain. And this time also, it looks like they will not get an opportunity to get some time on the field. For the other two matches today, the weather prediction is not much better.

There was a brief lull in rain from around 2pm to 4pm, but now the reports indicate that rains have returned. India had a recent ODI series against Australia, so they won't be much bothered. But it is a huge loss for the Netherlands, as they don't get the opportunity to face India that often.

Several warm up matches were delayed due to rain. And some matches were abandoned. Weather in India is not good at this time. I don't know if ICC has made the World Cup fixture keeping in mind the weather. India is a very big country. Weather may be bad in some states. ICC should have made the fixer considering the weather. Every match in the World Cup is very important for the teams. It is really unfortunate for the team when a match is delayed or abandoned due to rain. And it might stand in the way of a team qualifying for the semi-finals.

Pakistan VS Australia

What happened to Pakistan? They were bowling quite well before Maxwell arrived. I thought they would be able to restrict Australia to a small score but they managed to allow them to go beyond 350. The lower batting order of Australia is incredible even when their middle order does not work these guys, Maxwell, Green, and Inglish can become fatal for the opposition. It is not an easy target to chase for Pakistan, they would need exceptional batting from Babar today. Since it is a practice match if Pakistan loses this match it won't affect them in any way.

The ground where the match between India and Netherlands was supposed to be played was rained so much that even the toss was not held. India and Netherlands were deprived of two warm-up matches of their own as two of these teams' warm-up matches were abandoned.

Pakistan VS Australia
Australia managed to set a big target against Pakistan. At the end of the first innings, Australia scored 351 runs for seven wickets against Pakistan, where Pakistan is now batting with a target of 352 runs.  

Afghanistan Vs Sri Lanka
On the other hand, against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka lost all wickets in the first innings and made 292 runs, Afghanistan is now batting in the second innings. As the rain has not hampered the play yet, it looks like we will see the results of these two matches.

Pakistan vs Australia

The match between Pakistan and Australia is really a big high voltage match.Because both teams are very strong in cricket ranking.However, Australia has accumulated quite a large run capital with Pakistan. In this match, however, Australia won the toss first and decided to bat after winning the toss Australia scored 351 runs for seven wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
But Pakistan are not batting well at the start they have already scored 84 runs in fourteen overs but they have lost 4 wickets.


Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan

Sri Lanka lost their first warm-up match to Bangladesh by seven wickets.Today is Sri Lanka's second warm-up match against Afghanistan and it can be said that Sri Lanka came back well against them as they scored 294 runs batting first.
Now Afghanistan are batting and they have collected 150 runs for the loss of one wicket in 12 overs.
