Really surprising and disappointing performance by england,

They were less then 1.3 odds pre match and managed to score only 156 runs

Sri lanka were never in danger,except the first 6 overs maybe when it was  45-0.. Insane  to think england lost TEN wickets and scored only 111 runs.. wow

Dreaming of a 156-run win on a batting-friendly wicket like the one being played on is nothing more than wishful thinking. England has only followed the rules. It was only when they were bowled out for 156 that they were sure that they could not win the match. How many more changes will England do well? As a big team I don't dream of England making it to the next round. By losing this match I think England's World Cup tournament is over. Against Sri Lanka where they were bowled out for just 156 runs, they might have a terrible performance against the rest of the teams. At least I will not bet on England in this World Cup tournament. I lost money every time I bet on England.

Most of the time odds are trap by bookies for the punters I never consider them for any team's performance Sri Lanka were performing much better than England with their bowling and batting both were on good form, but England were having not good things from the start of this event which hurt them badly and now at the end they are out of the event after playing just five games and having just one win against Bangladesh and second could be against the Netherlands, but I have doubt in this case as well.

Few are arguing about their injured players, but I am not going to accept this statement as well because they are still going with their 90s policy which never give them any success in this format they need to work on improvement from the grass-root if they want better results otherwise they could be face backlash like this in future as well.

Most of the time it goes with the reputation and it looks like they hardly consider recent form. England is big team and has plenty of big names in the Playing XI but not in good form. In contrast, Sri Lanka might be playing good cricket or in good form but overall they are not considered a big gun.

Even if they win their next match (vs Afghanistan) and Australia lose theirs (vs New Zealand), Australia may remain at the top. At this point, Australia has a NRR of +1.142 (received a considerable boost after their massive win against Netherlands). On the other hand, Sri Lanka is having a NRR of -0.205 (this is after their big win against England today). I am not saying that it is impossible for Sri Lanka to overtake Australia, but that is going to take some more time. And that alone may not give them a ticket to the semi-finals.

Here I agree with you about this even today they have impressive win but still they are not having any chance for the last four because top four teams are already settled for this with their impressive performance in early matches and Sri Lanka having matches against Afghanistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand and India which are surely need good effort from them and their performance against quality teams are not as they need to be jumped into last four.

India is having full chance with South Africa going to stay at the second spot but if they lost any match then surely It's going to hurt them with New Zealand performance is also going to give them good boost for the third or fourth spot and Australia as coming back this is surely impressive, so now things are not easy for another team to jump into top four.

Although the target is so small that if they play slowly they would still win if they are not bothered about the net run rate. Pakistan will have to win today's match at any cost if they want to qualify for the semi-finals. There is no alternative. If they do not win this match, the team cannot be among the top four of the table. Pakistan's main weakness in this World Cup is their bowling line-up. Pakistan bowlers performance is very poor and they do not have any experienced spin bowlers in their squad. Apart from Afridi, the performance of other bowlers in the squad is also not good. On the other hand, the opponent South African batsmen are in very good form. In every match we are seeing great batting from the South African batsmen. If the Pakistani bowlers do not perform well in today's match, they have no chance of winning. And if South Africa bat first then atleast they will give 350+ target.

Pakistan has minimal chance of a win against South Africa. Apart from that surprise loss to the Netherlands, South Africa has been in terrific form. And Pakistani bowlers are leaking runs whenever they play against quality opposition. Naseem Shah's absence is being felt, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali are not in great form. Their spinners have also failed to make breakthroughs. But the problem here is that this is a must win match for Pakistan. If they lose, then they can't qualify for the semi-final stage.

It would be a good comeback if Pakistani team could defeat the South African team. The only way they can do it is by playing exceptionally well today. We can't take Sri Lanka's win against England as an accident because Sri Lanka are doing well under the new captain. The XI that Sri Lanka fielded at the start of the World Cup was quite different from the XI that won the match against England. 
Change of captain, change of several players in the team means that overall Sri Lanka team now seems to be a balance team. Sri Lanka are doing well in batting and bowling but their fielding needs to improve a lot as we can see their fielding weakness all the time. If they can do well in the next few matches with focus on fielding then they will have a chance to play semi-finals.

My guess about this match is if South Africa bat first then Pakistan won't win. South African batsmen are in very good form. If the team bats first they will be able to give a target of more than 350. And the chances of Pakistan winning by batting on such a big target is very low. If Pakistan get to bat first and can set a target of 320 then they have a chance to win. South Africa is a very strong team in this World Cup. The performance of their batsmen impressed everyone. If you want to win against such a team, the batsmen as well as the Pakistani bowlers must do well. In the last match we saw a poor performance by the Pakistani bowlers. The defeat against Netherlands was a one-off incident. South Africa won all of the other matches by huge margins. On the other hand, Pakistan won just two matches so far, against two of the weakest teams. Against strong teams they have performed poorly. Neither their batsmen, nor their bowlers are in good form. On top of that they have been embroiled in unwanted controversies, which seems to have impacted their performance further. I would say that today's match is going to be quite one-sided. I can't see a possibility of Pakistan winning this one.

So far, Pakistan are playing bad cricket, and South Africa are almost on the moon and looks like a completely different side. Still, this very same Proteas outfit choked against the Dutch and in the last T-20 WC managed to lose the semis seat to the Pakistani team so anything is possible with these 2 teams.

Pakistan's only hope would be some assistance with the deck to their bowlers where they can trap one of SENA countries. I don't see them winning if their bowlers fail again.
