Anadolu Efes has reportedly reached an agreement with Luca Banchi again. While there's no official announcement yet, it's a transfer rumor circulating on social media.
I don't understand why they brought Banchi back in place of Laso, as sending him away wasn't the right decision back then.

Anadolu Efes is managed really poorly to tell the truth.    I also think Luca Banchi shouldn't have been sacked in the first place.

He was the one who fixed things significantly back then. They should have continued with him. By the way Laso was also a good coach to me but the roster wasn't qualified enough.

With the right transfers I think they could have done well with Laso too. They are just impatient... I wonder how Banchi even accepted the offer to return.

With both Crvena zvezda and Partizan eliminated in the semi-finals, for the first time in league history, neither Crvena zvezda nor Partizan will reach the final. As far as I remember, these two teams have always been Serbian League champions, but this year was a surprise.

Perhaps the basketball players simply didn't care about winning the league championship. I didn't follow the semi-final matches, but this surprised me.

Just a bad and lazy mindset if you ask me. They didn't achieve anything this year since in the euroleague they well also just participating, seems like they don't care about this title. When you look at the roster that was playing in a do or die game it basically tells everything about this game they lost against FMP.
Well, at least Partizan still has the chance to win the ABA title but since they are playing against Dubai it's also not a given.

At first I thought that they're both eliminated in ABA league, but no, it's Serbian league. Very unexpected result, but not the end of the world - Serbian league title is probably least important from all trophies.

No official statement has been made regarding Banchi yet, but if one is, I think it would be good for Anadolu Efes.

I believe the Laso and Obradović era is over. I think the legendary coaches of the past should be enjoying their grandchildren.

Luca Banchi's departure was a mistake. I wish İsmail Şenol would come out and make a statement. Why did they dismiss a successful coach at the end of the season?

Anadolu Efes's owner is very wealthy, and if Anadolu Efes is aiming for another Euroleague championship, Tuncay Özilhan will provide the necessary financial support.

I mean if you don't send your best team, in a final, that really shows how small of respect you have for the league as well as for your opponent. About the ABA final, I don't think home court would play such a big role since I don't see them having a great intimidating atmosphere playing in Dubai. They only aspect which is bad for Partizan would be travel, but Dubai going to Europe for their away games obviously will have the same issue.

Turkish Basketball League semi-final match was of Euroleague quality. Fenerbahçe and Anadolu Efes faced off in the first game at Fenerbahçe's home arena.
Fenerbahçe started the game very poorly again. The first quarter ended 21-6.
With 5.6 seconds left in the game, Fenerbahçe took the lead for the first time and won the game 60-59, making the series 1-0.
They gained a slight advantage in the game where the first team to win 3 games will advance to the final. Tarık played excellently again.

I agree with your thoughts, but Serbian league isn't same like all others. eams don't play regular season there, just playoffs, not even series in semifinal and final - it's just not serious.

It was such a bad management from Efes last summer, I cannot comprehend right now how they let this happened. Efes had a good thing going on in the playoffs. Lost game 5 to Pao in the quarter finals but it was a close series. Greek fans woke the team up at 2 am night before the game with fireworks. It shows how serious things were. Then Efes just screwed everything up. Hired Ismail Senol, then Kokoskov and disasters followed. Banchi was much much better. Even when he knew he was going to be sacked he was great. I wish he comes back. And if Banchi puts the team together himself this time and gets them ready over the summer, we could see some much better basketball.

Yeah, I know that there is 2 teams from regular season who joins playoffs, but didn't wanted to go too deep into details - main teams joins league only during playoffs.
About Efes, like I already said, they lost game that they already won and what is even worse, Poirier suffered Achiles injury and he is out for 8 or 9 months.
Summer started  and we already have interesting rumours:
Ibon Navarro from Unicaja most likely will become new Crvena Zvezda coach (great choice IMO)
Sasa Obradovic will become new Hapoel coach and they're trying to get Euroleague license fro 2 years. It also means that coach Itoudis is without job.
ASVEL is planning 40 million budget for next season and some big signings probably will join them How fast things change - from poorest Euroleague team to one of richest. Offcourse, a lot will be eaten by huge taxes in France.

I didn't have the chance to watch the Fenerbahçe-Anadolu Efes game. I just found out the score. Anadolu Efes led 47-32 at halftime. I thought Fenerbahçe had come back from a 15-point deficit, but they came back from an 18-point deficit. As a Beşiktaş fan, I'm curious who our opponent will be. I'd like to face Anadolu Efes, but it will most likely be Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe's ability to come back from such a large deficit and never give up scares me. This year, as Beşiktaş, we want to win the Turkish League championship, but it doesn't seem like it will be an easy one.

In the Greek League, Olympiakos will be champions. Panathinaikos might win one or two games, but Olympiakos will be the champion.

Fenerbahçe have won both of 2 games in the series so far. However I can't say I'm satisfied with our performance that much. The reason is our not being consistent during a match.

We just messed up in the first halves of both games for example. Thanks to Anadolu Efes' not being capable of taking advantage of their lead we were always able to make a comeback.

But winning by only 1 point doesn't make me comfortable. Fenerbahçe need to prepare much better for next season if they want to win the Euroleague.

Yesterday, Beşiktaş suffered a heavy defeat against Bahçeşehir Koleji, and the series is now tied 1-1. Bahçeşehir Koleji has the advantage, but I think we'll beat them away from home.

Also, Asvel has caught my attention lately. Asvel is trying to build a strong squad for next season. They've agreed to a €4 million annual salary with Sylvain Francisco. Asvel is now looking to add Yabusele to their roster. Next year's Euroleague looks set to be much more competitive. I've never seen Asvel so eager to build such a strong team before.
