I will advise everyone in this pushups challenge to incorporate other forms of exercise. This is likely to provide a greater overall health benefit than pushups alone.

You are right mate, outside push-up exercise I have also been involved with some of this aerobics exercises such as lunges exercises which has helped to strengthen my lower muscles and also squats exercises and running too.
There is really a great health benefits doing exercises.
 

Obviously exercise can go beyond push-ups, but I feel if you're only going to do one exercise, push-ups is a great choice.  Everyone should also be doing things like walking as well.  Personally, I ride my bike daily, along with other weights, stairs and swimming (I love summertime), but I think a commitment to doing 100 push-ups a day should be first and foremost in people's minds.  Especially people over 40, as you do not want to let your muscles disappear on you in old age.  You have to fight to keep your strength, and if you don't start it at 40, it's going to get harder and harder by the day.
You are correct OgNasty, pushups is very helpful to the body and it has been approved also my health professionals, like I said the other day when I went for my checkup in the hospital my doctor told me that my health has really improved and I told him I was doing 100 pushups every day and he told me to keep it up and also advised me to engage in other exercise if my strength can carry me.
Pushups is fundamental in exercise but I'm only saying one can also engage in another exercise if after doing his or her 100 pushups for the day and like my doctor said if your strength can carry you but if it can't please focus on pushups because is more important and it comes with all exercise benefits for your health.

Your explanation is understandable of a truth push-up exercise is a great choice if one is been ask to choose one particular exercise, reason been that push-up exercise is a great way to strengthen the upper body muscles like the chest, shoulders and triceps, and not only that, push-up exercise doesn't also require any equipment to start for it can be done anywhere of your choice.

I also try doing some walking too, some times I decide to walk down to the office when going to work also coming back at times. I also do walking lunges exercise too but what I do mainly is push-up exercise since it is the concept of this thread and it is also the reason for the exercises am doing now though I have been doing them before later stop so this push-up challenge made me go back to doing exercises again. This 100 push-up a day until  BTC is $100k  challenge which we are hoping for BTC to hit $100k soon has helped me in doing exercises again. You really done well OgNasty for bringing up this idea of push-up for it has help me gain fitness to do my daily activities.

One potentials of exercise is that it makes us look young even at old age.

It would really be that something that understandable that you shouldnt really be doing just push up but rather a combination of some sit-ups and some jogging to have that complete  movement on which it isnt really just that limited on upper part exercise but also in the lower body as well or simply that means or showing that kind of balance. Now that we are hitting 70k then having that +30k movement isnt already that too far off already.
Is there any other exercise type when we do go ahead 100k-200k? Checking out on the thread, it is really that too amazing that there's tons of people who do go with this challenge and there's a table showing
those progresses on which its really that showing do take this one seriously. If you are someone who isnt get used to make push ups or really that starting completely and not having a body get used to this kind of activity then it wouldnt be a bad idea on starting up with 10 push ups per day until you would be able to add up +5 on every 3 days or it would be basing up on how your body would be able to adapt.

When you do get age or becomes older then it would be understandable that performance or body functions would be deteriorating but having some exercise such as this would at least putting up your
body in good condition even if you are getting older. Nothing beats out on being healthy because of maintaining your body to be conditioned plus having that awareness or getting in line
with your Bitcoin investment.  Wink

It’s getting pretty easy to knock out these 100 push-ups in a small amount of time. I feel like I will need to figure out a way to make my push-ups more difficult because I don’t want to have to start remembering random amounts every day. Elevating your feet when doing them makes it a little harder but I’m thinking of getting one of those push-up boards where you can work different muscle groups with different hand holds.

It seems your body have adjusted and you don't feel the pains that much on like when you started, from the look of things I think in no time you'd need some new clothes because your arms and shoulders are not the way they were when you started this challenge, at least is a sign that the push up has an effect on you. Being healthy doesn't always mean you need a lot of good food but working on yourself is part of it.

Can you keep it up?  That's the thing. 

Members proclaim how easy it is to do pushups after getting used to it, and sure there is some truth to it.. especially comparing now to earlier, and even some of my slow pushups I would have had never been able to do as many and as slow as I sometimes am able to do them, yet I continue to struggle..

Surely I thought it would be easier to cut down to 200 per day.. once I got my average at that rate... since my average had gotten up to that amount.. and I had been doing way more pushups per day and per set in order to get the daily average up to 200...

And, so yeah, currently, I am not pushing myself for high quantities every single set, so there is some refreshedness with those lesser pressures.. but it still hurts.. and also, if I fall behind on the quantity of my daily pushups or even if I were to miss a set or two in a day, it is not an overly high amount of pushups to have to make up, so I should be able to catch back up by doing sets of 5 and perhaps doing 50 or more per set.. and then it should end up being the case that I would end up catching up within a few days of experiencing the deficit..

You can't read about push ups. You gotta do them.

Reading and writing about them in this thread does frequently motivate several of us in terms of actually doing them, so maybe we might get one or two more sets in, since we are planning on submitting our report, but we might feel that we need to finish all of the sets of the day prior to submitting the report.

Yeah, anyone who gets used to push-ups will find it easy to do because the person has trained himself for days and has found joy in doing push-ups. When I started this push-up challenge, the highest number I could do in a set was 30 plus push-ups in a set, but when push-ups became used to me, I saw myself doing way more than 30 plus push-ups in a set. There was a time when I improved so much in my push-ups, and I was able to maintain 50 push-ups in any set I did, even though I used the slow pattern of push-ups. I am restarting my push-up today, and I know it will be a little bit hard for me because I stopped doing it for some days.

Choosing exercise consistently is good and in my opinion push ups are one of the sports that most people do because it has many benefits and also makes many parts of the body strong and muscular.
Walking, cycling and lifting weights can be used as daily activities that can be done when traveling to affordable places without having to use a vehicle and this is very good for our health, making us physically strong and stable even when we are old. And I also do this besides push ups, and now I am 40 years old and I can still do everything well and push up 100 even though sometimes I don't reach it, I can still do it according to my ability. I did another kind of challenge, I tired to push my PB on a 20KM run and finally beat my PB that was from when I was in the young 20s.
Now I have been addicted to Ultra-Running! And running every morning all thanks to this thread. (I was running often before also) but never in this phase and at this seriousness. Even bought myself a new fresh Under Armour shoes thanks to my Solana investments.  Cool

I just want to give a big thanks to OgNasty that came up with this idea, you have actually made me so much happier mentally and finally I have got into running in a serious manner again. Thanks bro all respect to you!
I will try to be more active here. My goal is to run a Marathon under 3 hours this year., and try a Ultra-Running race next year.
This is so amazing when people come together and help each other out, this is the best medicine we can use for our mental health and much more.

And for last.. I have never felt this happy and positive in.. i cant remember and it's all because I have taking my training to another level.
Who knows? Maybe gonna train and be a Iron Man to. Would be epic if we could get a group here and sign up for a Iron Man race together and do it together, that would be epic.  Cool

I will advise everyone in this pushups challenge to incorporate other forms of exercise. This is likely to provide a greater overall health benefit than pushups alone.

You are right mate, outside push-up exercise I have also been involved with some of this aerobics exercises such as lunges exercises which has helped to strengthen my lower muscles and also squats exercises and running too.
There is really a great health benefits doing exercises.
 

Obviously exercise can go beyond push-ups, but I feel if you're only going to do one exercise, push-ups is a great choice.  Everyone should also be doing things like walking as well.  Personally, I ride my bike daily, along with other weights, stairs and swimming (I love summertime), but I think a commitment to doing 100 push-ups a day should be first and foremost in people's minds.  Especially people over 40, as you do not want to let your muscles disappear on you in old age.  You have to fight to keep your strength, and if you don't start it at 40, it's going to get harder and harder by the day.

Yes no matter the types of exercise that exists little sticking to push can do allot , I concur to all you said here, another thing I have witnessed on push up it makes you ready at any time for any task like some lifting of some physical load which can be done with hand  as your body is full of energy and momentum, second help to position the Spina cord of the body because many find it deficult to stretch the back but the pushups maintain the back in position and take off stiveness of the Spina cord.

I’m even happy to get some praise but while I started this thread, the idea of doing 100 push-ups per day until Bitcoin reaches $100K was not mine. After a long hiatus I was able to get back into pushups. Unexpected accidents can ruin even the greatest achievements in life. Retaining that achievement requires hard work to regain it. For one who is able to put in this effort, achieving success becomes a habit.

My last pushup record was 100-104, but I lost this achievement after so many days of break. Now I can't do 100 pushups a day. I have to start all over again, that is, from 100 pushups, my number of pushups will be reduced to only 30. I was able to do a total of 30 pushups in 3 sets throughout the day. But for me it won't be without luck, I will try again until I can do 100 pushups a day and I will succeed.

I know a lot of people will be thinking about giving up on this challenge but I will like to remind you about the benefits of pushups in other to keep you going.

Arms (triceps and biceps)

This is actually the area I focus the most, there's been an amazing improvement on my biceps, as well as my pectorals and i couldn't be any happier about it.
I've been quite reluctant about hitting the gym due to my busy schedule, so I haven't had the opportunity to work on my biceps and pectorals which are very important to me, but this challenge has actually helped me to achieve that without even leaving my home and that's really cool.

Doing these push ups has now become part of my daily routine and I even added them to my schedule just so I won't have to miss any session.

To make the whole thing a lot more interesting, I took a picture of my biceps and pectorals when I started the challenge, and I'll also take another picture of em after the challenge so everyone could see just how much this challenge has helped in developing them.
Asides supporting bitcoin to hit 100k, this is actually another thing I've benefited from this challenge.

I noticed a change in the push-up activity table, wow I was amazed when I saw it I applaud you for that great work @Dirtykeyboard, the usernames are been arranged orderly and accordingly in a descending order which has made the table looks more beautiful.

I have not been consistent with my push-up exercise in the past few days due to my busy schedule and work too sometimes after coming back from work I will be so stressful and tired but despite that I was still able to do some quit numbers of push-up which accumulated to 306 push-up when I later calculated all in the past few days .

Currently my new push-up record.

Definitely a well thought and beautifully made table, we can only get stronger and smarter as the challenge goes here to submit my report though it’s a distance short from most of y’all I’m quite pleased at the success and steady growth of my stamina and strength. 100k,Briankimp1,3,45,2024-22-05
