I passed out last night and found myself waking up at 1:30am in a panic that I didn’t get my last set in. So I dropped and did 20 push-ups before making my way to bed. So I guess technically my streak is broken, but I still got my 100 push-ups in during a 24 hour period so I’m still counting it. I’m just going on pacific time minus 2 hours now.

I know that feeling when you wake up from sleep and realized you have skipped something you normally do on a routine, you can even jump from bed as if your pot of food is burning in the kitchen however, you must be a strong man for always making sure you reach the 100 push ups each day, wish i had same energy as you do but obviously we are different people with different stamina as i may not be able to endure what you can be able to endure.

The challenge continues regardless of our individual strengths to meet up our targets each day!

You can achieve the 100 push up in a day provided you put your mind towards it. This challenge is not very hard and you can make it as flexible as you think it will suits you. You don't have to take it as a military job or a paid job, just look at it as something that is important towards your well-being of your body. Wake do your first round before brushing your mouth, do the second round before taking your bath. You can do the rest two rounds when you are back from work. That's why it's a challenge, you are motivated by the fact that others are also engaging in same activity all over the world.

I have long taken good care of my body and apart from playing sports regularly, I regularly do various exercises and activities at home to keep my body in shape. Every morning I wake up and eat some raw chickpeas and after eating some raw chickpeas I start doing push ups. In the beginning my push ups were a bit difficult for me but as I am gradually doing the same regularly I don't find it too difficult now. Every morning, no matter what state I'm in, I do some push-ups before I wake up. Initially I was limited to 20 to 50 men but now I have improved enough to do regular push ups and now I can do 70 to 80 push ups continuously. Since I do push ups regularly, the number of periodic push ups will only increase.

I am working in a motorcycle garage, I have always been in charge of heavy work, such as working on motorcycle engines or other heavy parts. By doing these things my body is very fit, besides I do exercise every morning. So it wasn't too stressful for me to do 100 pushups I did it in one day. (Also since it mentions 100K in Bitcoin, I managed to do 100 pushups in one day no matter how hard I struggled) but I did 50 in the morning and  By doing 50 push ups in the afternoon, I completed a total of 100 push ups in one day. I will try to do this every day. It will be very good for my body.

We were never told how fast or far up or down but there where rules on how to go about it which is keeping the body straight and also doing it well, the competition was just for fun there were no intention for it not until we go there and it was announced.

That is kind of funny - especially guys who are already used to doing pushups or some similar exercise might be more willing to join the competition - and maybe it you were not doing pushups, you might not want to participate.

Today I started doing pushups in the morning and was only able to do three push ups. On the third attempt I was only able to do 17 push ups. I guess I need to improve the food to increase the push up, the more energy the body produces the more I can push up. Of course since I accepted the challenge I must be able to give 100 push ups before reaching 100 bitcoins.

I think that you should do modified pushups in order to build yourself up to full and regular pushups.

You should be able to do 100 modified pushups. and you modify them to your level.

If you are doing an exercise that is too hard, then you have to modify it to your level and work your way to the more advanced level.

I understand how the pushups can hurt and they can be difficult.. I have pretty much been in pain for 56 days, and I have not skipped a day.. and even though I have been improving, it is not easy, it hurts, it makes me tired, and frequently I don't want to do my pushup sets, even though I continue to do 5 sets per day the last 5 weeks.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

that's how is it, when I started doing pushups for the first time back then during lock down ( due to COVID outbreak). Kinda bored and stuff I started exercising to while away time , so when I tried doing some pushups I was only able to pull up one pushups (lol you can see you have more hope than me  Cheesy) . But as time goes on my body was getting use to it , after going through alot of pains during the process (feeling pains shows that you doing it right). So get to point I was able to hit 50 pushups straight up without breaking it into steps ( but damn first time I tried it I could not feel my body) but got to point my body was used to it till I stopped until this thread drove me back to it   Grin because I was used to it back then it didn't take much time before my body adapt to it. So what am trying to say is that with time as you keep it up , you will eventually get used to it and as days passed you would see your self improving. So for now keep hitting the number you can hit till you eventually start pushing your limit. Yeah eaten good food would also contribute.

You are right @JJG I think the competition idea just came to the organizers at the event center, it would have been more competitive and interesting if they have announced it some weeks ago before the main day I believe more guys would have been more ready and  much interested to join in the competition but I believe now that have saw what happened and how good there idea was will trigger them to plan it well next year.

In my opinion, what you are experiencing may be caused by a lack of warming up before doing push ups, friend. Because what I experienced, when doing sports that have quite a lot of repetitions, such as 100× push ups, you definitely have to do a good warm-up first. Because this will prevent your body muscles from shaking when you start push ups. Apart from that, maintaining a good diet must also be done. Because this will allow your body to recover more optimally when you have done 100 push ups. However, in this case that happened to you, in my opinion you should warm up when doing push ups more optimally. So do you warm up first before starting push ups?

And if you feel pain or soreness when doing push ups, this is very normal if you are still a beginner at doing push ups. Because as far as I know, this happens because the muscle tissue affected by push ups (chest muscles, triceps, biceps and back muscles) will split and of course there will be pain or soreness (initial phase). And later the muscles will grow back so they get bigger. However, when the body's muscles adapt well, the pain will decrease and you won't even feel pain anymore after doing push ups.

Additionally, I have also completed my 100× push ups today. So as of today I have only completed 300× push ups.

The truths of the whole matters is that I have actually learnt how to do push up every morning because of this challenge I have come to make it my daily routine and I have never skip any of them despite some distractions that normally comes as a human being our body might get weak to continue the next day but instead it has become very stronger and fit I can even do other more other exercises because of the additional strength and my happiness is that it is not all for in vain.. because bitcoin is also reciprocating with the push ups ........

Well as a beginner 🔰 you only have to be taking the push ups bit by bit you will become strong.. definitely pains and soreness will hit you but when you persist and continue the Push up once after that period my dear it will become a normal thing to you....

It is a very difficult challenge but possible.

I am not very fat but very health conscious. In the beginning I was able to do 10-15 pushups, but after 2-3 months of hard work, now I am able to do 30-35 pushups. I hope that if I try for 1-1.5 years, I will be able to do 100 pushups.

What happened to the planks?

Steps of stairs does have a body weight component, but it would likely be considered to be more about cardio rather than a kind of body weight/resistance training kind of exercise that would be somewhat similar to pushups.. like lunges could be considered to be a kind of body weight/resistance training or maybe if the stairs were done in a kind of stretching and lunging kind of way rather than cardio.. not that I am trying to be too nit-picky or to overly troll uie-poo-ie (even though I am.. hahahahahahaha.. This challenge is not as easy as you think because you cannot do 100 push-ups in one go, you must rest in between. Even if you keep doing pushups continuously for more than 1 year, you will not be able to give 100 consecutively, but maybe you can do 50 push-ups in the morning and 50 in the afternoon for a total of 100 push-ups. However, if you want to complete this challenge, you will need to keep up your push-ups. Moreover, many times it is seen that if you keep doing pushups continuously and do not do it for some time then you will feel a lot of pain in your body and may become physically ill. So keep doing push-ups regularly and keep your body healthy, and you can achieve your goal of 100 push-ups before bitcoin price reaches $100k.

I do 340 stairs (up and down) a couple times a week and I don't think of it as a cardio exercise.  Granted I'm not running them, but it takes probably more strength than one might think to do so many steps at once.  By the end my legs are definitely tired and 3/4 of the way through it becomes a challenge for me.  I would even say it is far more difficult than 100 push-ups, at least for me.  Younger guys and even kids probably wouldn't have any issue and could probably do it much easier than the push-ups, but for an ex-athlete with more than one knee surgery who is over 40 years old, lots of stairs is no joke.

just did 100 steps of stairs down and back up total of 200.  I will be doing my bike and band exercises next

I am like your jewish mother, even though you are seeming to be more elderly than me.. hahahahaha)

You might be correct that there is some aspect of stairs that is more resistance training than what I am characterizing it as, and so I am not necessarily going to fight to the death on this idea - since there is likely a bit of mixture in regards to some exercises in terms of how much cardio they are versus how much resistance training they are, and surely we even likely realize that the slower we do our pushups, then the more on the spectrum of resistance training they become and the faster that we do our pushups then the more cardio they become, even though surely there is a mixture in terms of a lot of kinds of exercises and how we choose to carry them out.

So for example when I was referring to a kind of lunge stairs, there could be a purposeful choice to do like 3-4 stairs at a time and to do them slowly and to even take breaks to attempt to place more emphasis on the resistance angle of the exercise, and yeah that might not even be very practical, even though probably many of us have probably noticed that all stairs are not created equally either. There are some stairs that are more steep than others.

In regards to knees, I have frequently heard (and experienced) that going down is harder than going up, so there could be some ways to take the stairs up and take the elevator down.. or even take the stairs up and then bicycle or drive back down.. .. but yeah, some kinds of adjustments might not be very practical in real world application circumstances.

Some of us are already going above 100 push up a day. Sometimes I feel like the 100 is not enough as I easily hit the 100 push within 15 minutes. So I go ahead and add more before the end of the day. There are people who have taken this challenge personal, if you have been consistent with the challenge from the beginning, you will naturally feel that the 100 push is nothing again and you will be hitting 150 to 200 now.

Rather than go over 100 per day as the challenge says, I would urge people to add other exercises into their routine. Sit-ups and pull-ups being a couple of my favorites along with curls or of course stairs. I’ve already got 80 in for today and could finish with 20 now if I wanted, but I’ll save them for later. Stairs and sit-ups will be my additions for today. In a couple weeks when the weather is a little warmer I’ll be swimming laps instead.

Holy shit..

You seem to be presuming way too much about the variance of members participating in this challenge in terms of both their physical abilities and also in terms of generally how members will supposedly get to a certain level of pushup quantities.

Sure, I have a hard time believing guys who are claiming to not to be able to do any pushups at all because even though surely I understand that some guys may well have to start out with modified pushups in order to maybe be able to do something like 10 pushups, but almost all people who are not injured or disabled in some kind of a way should be able to do 10 pushups, especially if they were to take some liberties in order to modify their way of doing the pushups.

So, if you are blanketly suggesting that pushups are not hard or the opposite that they are very difficult to do, then either side is just too ridiculous too presume as any kind of generally applicable way of the world, even though surely there are guys who have extraordinary circumstances and surely some guys maybe already were fairly easily able to do 100 pushups prior to this challenge even beginning... and there are also some guys who might have difficulties doing daily pushups due to their own psychological barriers in terms of fitting them into their daily routine.

This morning I decided to go for  joggling for I can't remember last when I went for joggling is been years ago.

This thread has made me to realize that I still need to be going for joggling now that I have experience the benefits of doing exercises, for it was an hour joggling after taking 20 minutes rest I went for my push-up but this time I decided to try a new pattern of push-up I folded my two hands like am going for boxing, i place my hands on the floor with my body straight and I was able to hit 8 push-up at first since it was a tiled floor the pain was much on my hand but after some 5 minutes rest I added some soft pillow on the floor and i completed 15 pushup in a stretch.

This particular pattern of push up wasn't really easy so I will rationing it, on my evening session I will be going on the normal push-up, then tomorrow I will divide it into two sessions morning and evening two set of folding of hands in the morning let me see if I can break my current limit, and 4 set in the evening with my finger stretch out as usual.

Wow, I'm interested in following it.
But to be honest, because it's been a long time since I've exercised, I wouldn't be able to do 100 push ups a day straight away.
I just cut it by half so it's only 50 times a day. just to participate and re-grow a sense of health awareness.
I usually do pushups using only 6 fingers as support, 3 right fingers and 3 left fingers, not with palm support.
