Reporting for my second day of challenge. Did 50 push-ups in 2 sets of 25 plus 30 mins of dumbbell presses. Felt so exhausted so took some rest and some protein diet.

100k,CoinMin3r,2,100,2024-05-27

Watch your limits. We all tend to push at them but in your case and mine we need much higher counts then we are doing.

I did 216 steps today which is fairly intense cardio.  But just over 7 minutes worth. I am hoping to get to 15 minutes of steps it is a long way to go.

you are trying to get to 100 pushups which is a lot more then 50.

I will try to stay at 216-240 steps 2x a day for the rest of the month. So far I do not feel like I am hurting my body just a good push.

I decided I have recovered enough from my surgery to start a 100 exercise.

I am older so I will do 100 stair steps

I have 12 steps to first floor from kitchen in second floor.

so I am discovering just how many steps / flights of stairs I can do.

180 steps is  really 180 down and 180 up 15 flights of stairs.   7 and 1/2 minutes.

I hope to do it again today. I will push at it to see if I can do 500 steps that should be about 25 minutes of stairs up and down which is pretty good cardio.

I am interested to see if 100 k for btc comes faster than 500 steps up and down the stairs.

I can tell you 180/15 flights was a bit taxing.

second set coming up!  pushed hard 180 steps up and down in 5 minutes and 56 seconds. that is up and down 15 flights of stairs!
still out of breath I am sure I was good for 2 more flights maybe Sunday  I will push it up just a bit more

204 steps in under 7 minutes.  this is definitely cardio style work I weigh about 195 pounds. each step is like lifting that with your legs so 195 x 204 = over 40000 pounds lifted in under 7 minutes. and lowered since you walk back down.

I am thinking 17 flights is close to my max for now. I think I will stay at 204/17 for may and push to 240/20
after June 1.

In theory 20 minute of this twice a day would be outstanding for a 40 year old so at 67 maybe I shoot for 15 minutes twice a day.

pushed a bit harder 18 flights or 216 steps up and down. that is lifting 195 pounds 216 times a short lift say eight inches and controlled lower of 195 pounds 216 times same 8 inches.

over 80,000 pounds of weight moved in seven minutes and 12 seconds.

I did 216 steps and 18 flights in a few seconds less.
Less out of breath doing the 216 steps.
I will add more in a day or two.
It really gives me more courage to see that even at your age you are still pushing hard and been consistent in this exercise, @40 after going through some of your post here seeing how serious you have been in this challenge has really encouraged me to push more because there is a great benefits in what we are doing here.

If I may ask won't you like your name to appear in the push-up table? Though I know there are members that is participating in this push-up challenge that don't won't there names to appear in the push-up table but they are taking there exercises serious maybe they just choose to let it be like that. I think it will be nice since we are on this push-up challenge together for our names to also appear in the push up table when we all give our push-up report so it will also be updated by DirtyKeyboard it is just my opinion though people can still choose to do what they like.

Day 42 - I did 150Push-Ups in 2 sets and it was less exhausting.

Day 43 - I did 200 Push-Ups. I was competing with my friend and we wanted to prove to ourselves who was better, though it was a tough challenge because he was a tough opponent and I wasn't ready to loose to him, but at the end I prove to him I was better.

But OgNasty, how will you know if one is completely doing the challenge here? I'm starting from tomorrow but how do you know I'm keeping up with your challenge.

I don't care if people keep up with the challenge or not.  I only care about letting them know it's going on so that they too can become stronger individuals.  If you want to fake that you are participating, I'm fine with that.  You are only depriving yourself and with faking it maybe you'll inspire someone else in the process, so I still see it as a positive.
Yeah, it's about personal life so whether one fakes it or not it's really no big deal. For me I'm in to the challenge because I already had intention of building my body so this is just one big opportunity.

It's a win- win process. If I participate I win.

You are absolutely right most people might fake it but just like you said it is personal decision.. it is not compulsory that everybody must do it but I think it is really good for the body most especially for the youth cause it helps keep one fit and agile. If old men can be walking out in my street then who am I, me that my blood is still flowing well. To me I don't intend doing it till Bitcoin hit $100k cause we don't know when it is going to hit that amount but we are hoping it hit it soon, let assume it take Bitcoin 5 years to hit that amount, won't you get tired of the push up before then... Unless you will be doing it once a week or twice though it will still be somehow.

Focus on Quality, Not Quantity
In the process of doing this pushups I think we should always focus more on the quality of the push ups not just doing it in other to get to a particular number without doing it properly.
When we focus more on doing it properly it will bring out positive results in no time, so as we all aspire to hit 100 pushups every day let's always remember to do quality pushups in other to get the desired body.

We already had this discussion, and surely I don't agree.

I think that guys can do whatever they like, and yeah, sure a certain level of quality and proper form should be considered in terms of what the guy is counting as a pushup and also if he might be trying to get some kind of improvement of his own physical health by engaging in the pushup activities.

100k,Makus,1,102,2024-05-24

Omg, it's been a while since I last did push ups and today I could feel the stress and pains in my muscles, honestly speaking, I can't imagine what it would look like after being consistent for a whole month. I did 35-20-35-12 push ups under 48 minutes, and I made sure not to cheat the process, quality better than quantity.

You might get more sore than necessary if you put your pushup sets too close together - but hey you figure out what works for you.

Right now, after 113 days of pushups, I am able to do my sets closer together, but I pretty much need the whole day to space them out, and I am still very sore.. not as much as before, but still soreness persists. even though I am also having some measurable improvements, too.

I also switched to 1% milk for the first time in my life.

I don't believe that 1% milk is healthier than whole milk.  Raw milk would be even better, but yeah, raw milk has been vilified, which is too bad.

Today I was much more faster than the time frame of yesterday because, I used a maximum resting time of 5 minutes after every set of pushups, and I was able to cover 110 pushups in 27 minutes I felt more tired than yesterday maybe because of the time frame, I did 40-25-20-15-10 pushups after the minutes break as resting time. I believe if I continue in consistency I'll be able to go for 100 straight without any resting time or break.

100k,Makus,2,112,2024-05-25

However, your math is or perhaps your typing skills are no good.  You should have had 212 pushups rather than 112 as of your 2nd day.

I hit a new record today for the most push-ups I’ve done in a single set, probably in my life if we’re being honest. This morning before hopping in the shower I did a set of 60 push-ups and it actually felt pretty good. Maybe if Bitcoin was at $63K I would have gone for it, but for now I continue to inch closer to my goals.
I hope I can do it too one day. 60 pushups is a lot to do in one session. Maybe I would be proud of myself if I could do it.  I can even only reach 60 today with 3 sessions, namely 20 per session. How many days or weeks will it take to achieve this?
My fat is still accumulating so I still have difficulty doing more than 15 push-ups. Even to be able to reach 20 per session, it took me 7 days to make adjustments for me to be able to do 20 push ups in one session. Because on the first day I did 14 to 15 per session. And it can reach more than 90 at that time in a day. But then on the second day I really didn't do push ups because my body felt sore and my muscles felt very tight. And on the third day I could continue doing push-ups again. Although there may not be many. Because my muscles are still sore. So even today I can only reach more than 60 in accumulation. I don't make reports like the others here. Because I'm quite embarrassed about the amount I achieved in one day. Lips sealed

There is nothing wrong with 3-5 sessions of 10-20 pushups per set.  Don't try to overly push yourself with the number of pushups in each set and the number of sets that you are doing each day.  You should give your body some recovery time, and also even a day of 3-5 sets might cause you soreness for 1-2 days, even if you do not continue to do pushups every day, but there is likely some kind of benefit to create yourself a system in which you are able to continue to do 2-3 sets every day, and if your number is kind of low shoot for doing 3-5 sets every day and maybe some of the sets you would ONLY do 10 pushups just to keep the habit of doing them, but not overly doing it.. .. and so it seems that you would be spreading them to through the whole day, especially if you are doing 14-15 sets, but it seems better to allow your body to rest more between sets maybe 2-3 hours between sets and shoot for 5 or 6 sets perhaps as your maximum number of sets in a day.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Don't feel discouraged with your little beginning consistency is key to getting better and improve, the pushups challenge is not a competition, neither should it be seen as a burden to you and you don't have to do more than your body can carry. doing as little as your body can carry is far better than doing nothing, you can spread out as much as you can in different sets and sessions. keeping tracks of records of your pushups is Very important as it shows, your strength and weakness and how much of progress you are making. There is nothing wrong allowing your body rest in order to regain energy, and I will also advice that you shouldn't be in a hurry to increase your number of pushups but rather you should be consistence within a certain range of number for few days or one week or more to enable your body to get used to it which will help you to gain that stamina to break through your previous limit, below are the format for the report it is important for you to join others by giving report of your pushups which should not be less than 10 per day for proper entery, you are welcome to the pushups challenge.

Unless you will be doing it once a week or twice though it will still be somehow.
Exercise some times is like a doctor's prescription for a good health and I joined this challenge for fitness I'm just just doing it for Bitcoin to hit that amount and I know most of us here are here for the same reason, aside the challenge for Bitcoin to hit 100k I also think that another idea behind this thread is to bring people together and challenge them in a healthy battle "battle for the most fittest in push-ups" and as it is right now it doesn't matter how long it takes for Bitcoin to hit 100k as long as you know you ain't the only one doing it and you are having fun while doing it.

People might choose to do want they want it is their life, but faking this challenge by claiming you are really doing this push-up exercise meanwhile you are not doing it is a great cheat not only to your self but your health as well  and such person don't also have love for Bitcoin but Clam to do, and I will always say it that the greatest cheat is the one a man cheats on him self if such person is not aware he should know now there is a great benefits in what we are doing here, exercise is very important and essential and it always recommended by physicians that we should do exercise in order to keep a healthy life. So I believe such person is doing himself more harm than good though anybody can choose to do what they want.

And secondly @sotelorene not doing this exercise till Bitcoin hit 100k simply because you don't know when Bitcoin will hit 100k is your choice but for me I will continue doing it even if Bitcoin hit 100k and above I will still be on it because exercise has helped alot so leaving it because Bitcoin refuses to reach 100k won't do me any good.

This is personal to you and I don't think is mandatory that you must you must keep up with the 100 pushups a day challenge till Bitcoin hit $100k anyone can do whatever they like, or probably you want to become a run away soldier  Shocked Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes ::)as for me am not up given , it is not over until is over. However pushups exercise is good as keep the body fit and at such I don't think I will be stopping pushups even after Bitcoin hits $100k considering the impact of the this pushups challenge in body so far, and am glad that I joined.

I haven't been able to do push ups for the past few days due to being sick. I did 150 push ups every day from May 15th to May 19th. I was sick from 20th to 25th May due to which I could not do push ups. On the 26th I felt somewhat healthy, I did 50 push ups on the 26th. I did 100 push ups yesterday. I haven't been able to do push ups for the past few days, so I've fallen behind. Total push ups would have been over 5k if I hadn't been sick.

Lately it's been at the end of the daily to do list.   I keep 100 pushups to 10 minutes maximum, sometimes with 10 x 10 sets, or I am also trying to get it done in only 3 sets, my least number of sets for 100 so far is 5.  30, 25, 20, 15, 10.

Definitely enjoying the benefits of the challenge although I noticed something few days ago I think it’s affecting my appetite, I’ve gotten hungrier I usually eat at least twice a day prior now I eat more than 3 times a day.
If anyone else has experienced this or just has some advice for me I’d love to hear it, Thanks guys let’s keep going...

My new report:
100k,Bd officer,63,4774,2024-05-28
Thanks to God that you have recovered from the sickness and even joining us here again to continue with your push-up exercise that's very great and don't bother that if not for the sickness that you would have push more to 5k, you will do above that if you continue to be consistent in this push-up challenge.
Memorial Day push-ups to stay on track. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves!

You should be exited that you have appetite to eat 3 times in a day for it will make you look healthier, well I think the reason while you now have more appetite to eat more than 3 times a day is because of the exercises you are doing because definitely after much exercise the body will be weak and it will feel as you have lost more energy and you will start feeling hungry that's natural for you don't need to be afraid for I have experience such senero too for it will help you build more strength and energy to your body it will also help to transform and fresshen the body.

Hitting 100 push-up under 10 minutes is not what someone will come up and do with out been consistent in it, for it is only consistence that made you hit 100 under 10mints. keep it up. Also sighting at your report I noticed there was a typographical error or maybe a misprint in your report date since you are reporting today been 28 I think the date should be 28 and not 27.

I was making some research about pushups online and through the research I discovered that pushups is among the 10 best exercise in the world and was ranking number 5.
Pushups helps a lot of muscles in our body and I will drop a picture so we can know the muscles I'm talking about. 👇

This are the muscles targeted by pushups.

And a research has shown that the more pushups you do the more you reduce the risk of heart disease. Below is the table.👇

So please let's keep pushing is very important to our health.

Just out of interest

In case of improvement?

Who's doing the 100 push-ups in about 10-15 min or who is doing it in about a few parts of a full day in in what kind of sets?
Very small sets or challenging yourself into larger sets?
There was a time when I could do 100 push-ups in 10 minutes in two sets of two reps. But due to my illness, I take a longer time than 10–15 minutes to complete my 100 push-ups. I lost some weight, which reduced my stamina to last longer in my push-up. I am trying so hard to gain back my weight. I used to have enough rest in each of my sets so that I would have enough strength to do 40 push-ups in a set, which would help me gain back my weight faster.

Who's doing the 100 push ups in about 10-15 min or who is doing it in about a few parts of a full day in in what kind of sets?
Very small sets or challenging yourself into larger sets?

Of course, what guys are trying to achieve is going to vary, whether they want to improve, or get to a certain point in their abilities, or if they might want to just maintain, or if they might just want to be able to accomplish the task of doing some pushups every day (being able to do some every day may well be a goal in itself).

There also might be some goals to reach a certain point (or level) before changing the goal to some other point - yet it seems to me to be a pretty BIG task just for guys to add pushups into their routine and to continue to do them every day (or nearly every day) - which could end up being an improvement with what they had previously been doing...  I had focused on quantity and trying to spread out in order to lessen the amount of soreness, and then later I started to time the pushups so that I might be able to first monitor where I was at and then to try to do the pushups more slowly - but surely I mix slowness and not slowness depending on if I feel that I am caught up with my other goal of maintaining an average of 200 pushups per day, or if I might feel that I am falling behind in my average.. but yeah it took me right around 95 days of pushups just to get up to that average number..

I have my own dilemma about my current keeping of my average of 200 pushups per day, and even questioning if whether that is a good place to continue to try to stay.. and even the extent to which I am able to throw in some other exercises from time to time - or other kinds of activities that I end up counting as exercises... but it could be a bit unsustainable to try to keep an average of 200 pushups per day.. but I can still review my pushup logs and try to see some patterns in regards to the times for each of the sets.

Somebody got banned, do you know who? Smiley  It's a mystery...

I would imagine that there are always forum members getting banned, so there may well be an implication that the referred-to banned member is either someone well known or perhaps a participant in this push-up thread?  In other words, at this point, I don't know who and i do not have any guess.
