One  major thing most investors has  fail to understand is that, greed is never a good thing,  especially in this crypto industry,  almost all  veterans investors knows that when it comes to digital currencies, Bitcoin is second to none, but due to greedy of making 10x to 100x, they will still go ahead and invest in shit coin without taking into consideration the risk attached to it, they gambles with their hard earned money, even when they know how risky it is, some of them don't even know that investing in shit coin or alt are just like gambling, which the possibilities of them losing their hard earned money, is far greater than the possibilities of them making something out of it.

I wonder why some folks  are persuaded  by such kind of scenario. Before investing our funds it necessary to gether information about such investments. Why will an investor see Bitcoin which is a already established assets with reliable track record, growth potential, global adoption, high demand in the market and commanding a significant value. Some  Individuals will see all these characteristics possessed by bitcoin, whhich offers good profit but  rather be persuaded by unrealistic promises  and fake gains altcoins and shitcoins offers.

My only response to him was, you already knows that Bitcoin is the most reliable crypto asset, but you still choose to gamble on shit coin,  so you need no convincing, but you will surely learn the hard way, so the essence of all this is that greed is what makes people, especially those that are aware of it risk, still invest in shit coin.

I'm not against people investing on shitcoins I'm against people preaching it to newbies, if one knows the risk in it and decided to venture into it then is the person's cup of tea not mine, but why venturing into such risk knowing fully well there high risk of lose.

This is a strategy that is adopted by mainly the elite of Bitcoin investment who truly understands or have a high insight towards the market and those who are just new in the crypto industry, always on the lookout to whatever X they could find on their investment to sell out. For these set of persons, it’s just an investment and nothing more, they aren’t interested in the technology and could just get out whenever they fine it ripe enough.

No one stops anybody from choosing to do with his funds whatever he so pleases and if you decide that what's going to yield you profit is gambling with your investment, you can go along with it and maybe come back later to share how the journey went and I'm never suggesting or wishing you bad investment luck but what you will continue to know is that most alternative digital investment option outside of Bitcoin involves gambling with your investment and like the regular gambling, you could be successful at it or not and in some rear cases, 1 out of 1000 persons can win some jackpots or investment in some profit that at the starts gives you a good ROI but that's never to suggest that the way to create a good generational wealth from the digital investment sector is through trying out some coins you're not sure of. The only best way to alternate our investment is investing in other projects outside cryptocurrency, such as real estate, but in as much as an investor is considering investing in alternative cryptocurrency then in my opinion he's no more investing but gambling with his money on shitcoins. The POW of bitcoin makes it exceptional as the best crypto to hold for long and be sure of profit as you accumulate as your pocket can stash. One  major thing most investors has  fail to understand is that, greed is never a good thing,  especially in this crypto industry,  almost all  veterans investors knows that when it comes to digital currencies, Bitcoin is second to none, but due to greedy of making 10x to 100x, they will still go ahead and invest in shit coin without taking into consideration the risk attached to it, they gambles with their hard earned money, even when they know how risky it is, some of them don't even know that investing in shit coin or alt are just like gambling, which the possibilities of them losing their hard earned money, is far greater than the possibilities of them making something out of it.

I want to go a little deeper when it comes to this and let us use some actual numbers to illustrate more clearly the mistake that it is to invest in those shitcoins, and while it is impossible to calculate in a completely accurate way the expected value of putting money on a shitcoin, let us do it for illustrative purposes.

So, what are the chances that a shitcoin does a 10x while you are holding it and you keep it for long enough to enjoy those benefits? Difficult to know but probably around 1%, and with that number we can make a rough estimation of how much money in terms of percentage you can lose on average when buying a shitcoin.

Getting 10x: 1000% * 0.01 = 10%
Getting small profit: 20% * 0.2  = 4%
Breaking even: 0% * 0.2 = 0%
Small loss: -20% * 0.39 = -7.8%
Catastrophic loss: -100% * 0.2 = -20%

And when we add all of those results we get -13.8%, this number represents the expected value of deciding to put your money into a shitcoin, and while the numbers are arbitrary, they do reflect the reality, as it is often necessary for those interested in shitcoins to get burned several times before losing most or all of their capital, so basically anyone taking their chances with those coins should expect on average a loss close to that percentage of any money put into a shitcoin.

So I hope this illustrates how bad it is to try shitcoins, and anyone considering to use their savings to invest, sticks with bitcoin and nothing else when it comes to this market.
