Age is a factor against Mike Tyson, but despite being old he has all the technique, we cannot forget that he is a living boxing legend, one or two blows are enough to defeat Jake Paul, maybe Jake will use his mobility and age to try to tire Tyson who in turn already has all the possible knowledge of the sport and will use this to win the fight. I still think what I wrote a few posts ago, I believe that Jake Paul won't be able to lay a finger on Tyson.
I believe that Jake will be able to land some nice and clean shots. Stop living with the past. The fact that he was a beast 20-30 years ago and cast fear on every heavyweight boxer does not mean that he is able to the same again. Somehow many expect Jake only to go into deep defence and wait for a fatal blow. Somehow many think that Jake is chilling all the time, never ever put on gloves, while 57yo Tyson has been training and boxing like he never quit. I dont say that it will be a beating, or Jake is going to win because he is young. All I want to say that it aint going to be an easy fight for both of them. We are not being realistic if we think that Tyson could beat Jake Paul. He may even be gas out after 3 rounds as Jake Paul is in full condition in the fight and him being young will have better stamina that Mike. I see that everyone has love for Mike Tyson and we never forget that he is a legend, but that over a decade already, a lot has change, Jake now is the new face of exhibition fights and he'll surely dominate the old Mike, (no disrespect). Tyson is undeniable strong and have speed we can see it on his latest training video, but the question there could he able to last for more rounds? If he could not defeat Jake Paul in fifth round and up then maybe he will struggle with that since he's main enemy now is his stamina and he could run out of gas for that due to age factor. And we know that Paul have heavy punches that's why Paul have a big chance to defeat Tyson knowing that he has the youth which can give him more advantage to win their fight. I know many got hype on training videos released by Tyson and I myself got impressed to watch the legend is still capable to box but let see what's the result of this fight since for sure we can see an exciting match up between them.

Most likely this is the case as why Mike Tyson is the underdog in this fight. Age will be against him, he will be 58 when he faces Jake Paul. And we all know that's already too old for a boxer. Maybe he will be competitive early, and that's where he will be very dangerous. But once Jake Paul eluded that power punches of Mike, Tyson could gas out. For sure in trainer they will work hard with this stamina, but it's very different when they are in a fight. However, there are still fans of him who think that Tyson can win with his one punch power.

If this were Mike Tyson from 35 years ago the only thing to bet on would be the 30 second over or under on Jake getting knocked out. As is, I'm a little worried from what I'm seeing from Mike's camp. They seem to be gaslighting a bit and trying to make Tyson seem like he's in better shape and health than he is. Whatever happens, I just hope Mike gets a massive payday and doesn't take any injuries. Jake getting knocked out would come secondary to that, but I know we all want to see it.

As with any fighter their team is going to hype them up even if they have doubts about them. It's not like they're gonna come out and say Tyson isn't doing that great or something along those lines . I'm still not sure this is going to be a proper fight, or at least with some stipulations. If there was a no head-shot rule like there probably was in Tyson's last fight then it's likely there might be something along those lines this time given Jake is is 20 years younger. I think this is just a lose-lose fight for Jake. If he wins then he's knocked out a near-pensioner. If he loses then he's been beaten by a pensioner, which would be pretty embarrassing. If he KOs Tyson then people will just hate him for it. I'm sure this will do huge numbers on Netflix but I just don't think it's the right call for them in their first foray into boxing. I'm sure Tyson has better technique and maybe even power, but he ain't going to be able to sustain that for more than a round or two. If he doesn't get a KO in the first round or so I think Jake will just outpace and walk all over him.

Speaking of Favorites, I tried to search if "official" odds are available right now. I understand that it's about 4 months to go before the fight so official odds might not come out yet at this time but at least, maybe we can find some unofficial odds, or also called preliminary odds, from some famous bookmakers. According to this site, there's still no official odds yet as of their last update several hours ago. The unofficial odds available out there are provided by one of the head oddsmakers of a popular sportsbook, the odds are: Jake Paul: -360 Mike Tyson: +300If ever that odds prediction will somehow close to the official odds, it might be worth putting some on Tyson. However, for me, I'm not really sure if a serious fight will happen here.

Tyson is one of the greatest athletes in the history of mankind. He's up there with folks like Bo Jackson, LeBron James... I think it's a shame that he mismanaged his money to the point where this fight is even an option, but I honestly want to see Mike Tyson have one more incredible night and knock out Jake Paul then retire with a huge bag of cash to never have to do a podcast or box in a ring again. He deserves it. His attitude change from an egomaniac to a humble servant is possibly his greatest achievement.

I wish this fight would end with a draw. Mike would get a juicy check, make his fans happy to see him once again, cheer up himself from being rusty. Jake would have an honor to box with a legend, hope that he will gain some experience after this fight. Hope that both will get knocked down. Jake as a sort of a punishment for big mouth. Like a slap for misbehave. Tyson would get knocked down, just to remind him that boxing is not a joke, but he will recover quickly and continue the fight. This is a kind of a match that I expect more boxing, probably like a sparring, then a barbaric brutality and injuries.

Or it could be what we saw in the fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belford... That the Brazilian fighter took the fight seriously even against the retired Holyfield and destroyed him in less than 2 minutes of the fight, but was heavily criticized for it, for take it seriously... Anyway, I'm rooting for Mike and for this fight to be a real fight.

But a fight with Roy Jones Jr, Mike Tyson didn't put enough effort or at least that fight is really rigged from the beginning and every one was into it, including the judges as it was declare a draw. Nevertheless, fans of Mike Tyson are still divided here, others says that this is going to be a beating, as he will look for a knockout against Jake Paul. On the other hand, it could be really just for fun as this is just a exhibition fights. But at the end of it, both are going to make a lot of money, and so it's hard who to beat on this fight.

Of course, exhibition fights been arranged on giving that entertainment and its not something that could be that serious fight in the first place. They do box inside the ring for the sake of entertainment or giving up a show into viewers. This is why im not really that liking to bet on exhibitions no matter how one sided it would be looking on which it could be considered to be having that upset or having a draw/tie kind of decision on which it would easily fucked up your bet. I've been through several exhibition fights and ended up on some frustration. Odds are really that somewhat interesting on this fight though and i might throw up some bucks on Tyson on which this one would really be something understandable or something that you could really convince yourself on whose gonna win.

I'm 50/50 on it right now, but Jake only seems to be the slight favourite with the bookies right now.
I'm not sure what you mean as official as every bookmaker will set their own odds, but Skybet currently have: Jake as the favourite at 1.80, Mike at 2.20 and the draw at 7.50. If it was an exhibition then they wouldn't have given any odds as winners are never announced. My feelings is that this is going to be a proper fight, but it just doesn't seem right. If it was an exhibition or there was in fact some fight stipulations like no headshots etc I think there would be a pretty big backlash. Maybe both fighters might take it easy or just feel each other out for a round or two then change up the intensity to what their opponent delivers. Even if I were 100% certain that Jake Paul was going to knock out Mike Tyson, I still wouldn't bet a single satoshi on it.
I do admire Tyson's transformation and he is proof that people can change. He was a very angry and scary dude at the height of his boxing career and now seems to be pretty humble and at peace with himself. I definitely wouldn't have liked to be in the same room as him in the 90s but now I feel like you could have a decent converation with him.

The change in Mike Tyson is really impressive, today he seems to be very peaceful... it's like what happened with Axl Rose... from a troubled rocker he also became a balanced person. But what I'm most impressed with is the change in Tyson's physique, for some time he was very overweight, practically morbidly obese... He's lost more than 100 lbs in recent years

It adds up the hype but I'm starting to think this is getting serious. Dana White talks about Mike and calls his wife which she is saying Tyson taking this fight seriously and that he is training hard. But they got to have an ambulance ready for this fight actually. Hahaha he is legend and of course everyone wants to see it, but it turns out that many people don't agree with this fight because it is clear that there is no balance between the two. One of them is Dana White, who is also friend of Mike Tyson, he once stated that this fight should not have happened, but basically both of them had agreed to contract for the fight that would take place. Paul and Tyson have both prepared everything, they are increasingly active in coming to the training camp to prepare themselves as well as possible, but the people closest to Tyson are really worried about Tyson health. It just that if you look at Tyson daily life and activities, he is very healthy and doesn't seem to have any problems with his health, well maybe needs an ambulance but who knows who will use it, I hope Paul goes with the ambulance that is provided.

Too much hype for Mike. Why can't we just be realistic here, he is an old living legend but there's no way he can beat Jake Paul. It could bring easy money for two since MT is very popular and still lots of people think he could beat the young youtuber but I doubt it will happen. Here's the opening odds (not sure if it's already available in bookies). https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/boxing/2024/03/27/jake-paul-mike-tyson-odds-fight-date-pick-netflix/73015931007/Jake Paul: -360 Mike Tyson: +300 See? That alone would prove how bookies think about the chance of Tyson, it's very slim according to them.

Apparently the rules have been leaked, thought nothing 100% confirmed yet: https://twitter.com/DramaAlert/status/1773769023165005861• 16 oz gloves • 2 minute rounds • No official judges • No winner unless KO • Each fighter must pass a EEG & EKG test If true then it's kind of a hybrid between an exhibition and a pro fight. Probably the best for Tyson to be honest. I do wonder whether either party will actually go for a KO though or is it just gonna essentially be a leisurely spa/exhibition. He's lost more than 100 lbs in recent years He hasn't looked like that in years. That's probably a very old picture.

It would be a bad look for Netflix to have an old guy get beat up badly. The whole thing was a stupid idea from the beginning. 16 oz gloves are only used for sparring so that gives us an idea of what to expect. It won’t be a real fight and might not even be entertaining to watch. It will draw viewers and make a lot of money only because it’s such a freak show.

But the old guy here is Mike Tyson and still boxing fans wanted to see if he can still pull the trigger or not. And obviously, this could looks like a sparring match. But then again, Netflix and Jake Paul's MVP wanted to take advantage of the fame of Mike Tyson. But the no winner unless KO is very much exciting, if this is true then this fight could end in a brutal KO. And hopefully it will be Jake Paul lying on the canvass. But let's see what will be the official rule though. And for sure majority will agree that we want Mike Tyson to win by KO.

The usual is 3 minutes, so it's less 1 minute. but if it's 12 rounds, that's still a lot of minutes to fight and I don't think Tyson would be able to last that far. But the no winner unless KO is very much exciting, if this is true then this fight could end in a brutal KO. And hopefully it will be Jake Paul lying on the canvass. I hope Jake Paul will take it easy, he was knocking opponents, younger ones,... so hopefully it will be just a pure exhibition fight that no intention to really hurt an opponent. It's enough that they created the hype that could attract a lot of money.

Just all hopes that the fight won't be rigged. That the Mike Tyson who entered into that contract won't be acting like on a wrestling match scripted type. just truly rooting for real boxing match. Mike is fighter after all. I hope he won't be diving into entertainment type of sports where his aim to just earn more money. Because them, he's just like making fun of the sport that made him great early on his career. IN any case I would still bet under Mike's name.

We really can't say if the fight will be rigged or not, but looking at the leaked rules, it seems that the only way for this fight to end if by knockout. And so with that, there is no script that can really put here unless Tyson and Jake Paul rehearse everything before the actual fight? But that will be weird though. And that 2 minute rule might benefit Tyson as he is the older guy obviously and needed not to fight for 3 minutes as we have questions whether he has the stamina to stay or gas out after just a couple of rounds.
