Well, this isn't a surprise. The number of suicides due to gambling is really high compared to other suicidal problems out there. This is what they want to influence their audience with and there's nothing to blame with this issue other than this influencer. Personally, there have been times when I've thought about taking my life but I always remind myself that it's just a bad day and for sure tomorrow will be different. I want to quit gambling but I can't. I don't know why. Hopefully this won't happen to me.

Just like any niche market, advertising and sponsorship are vital to attracting new customers.
If they ban streamers, they will certainly find other ways to advertise both legally and illegally.

This news is just one of the many tales of people going to the extreme because of gambling addiction. The rate at which these celebrities promote gambling on their platform is becoming very alarming. The most disturbing part of it is that most of the followers of these celebrities are underaged. Many of them will enter the gambling space immature and might not be able to control their gambling behavior because they are not financially and emotionally balanced. I think there should be restrictions on gambling advertisements by these superstars because it seems they are not concerned about the well-being of their followers because of selfish reasons.

The streamer can always remind his subscribers about their responsibilities as a gambler. The tragic event was not on streamer's fault as he didn't have direct influence in his subscriber's life. His influence is very limited to what he is showing to his audience. The responsibility relies on the person himself.

The family should also be aware of what's going on with their family members particularly those younger ones who can easily be influenced by social media. In today's generation, a lot of what's going on can be hidden from your parents or guardians. The problem was on Discord and not on Kick, a fan on Discord committed suicide while Adin was watching...

We know how gambling can ruin lives, if someone loses his life savings for sure he will think for a time about ending his life, but is a stupid move. First of all, we know the basic rules of gambling, and you shouldn't gamble more than you can afford to lose.

This will only cause some drama around Adin, but nothing will change at all.

At the end of the day, Kick is a business entity and with that, they can still Adin Ross to continue as he is one of their biggest streamers as you have said. Even myself have seen him play. And in response by the editor, he blurted it out and it was put out of context. He said that he thought that Adin Ross already knew the news about it and so he called it "old news". However, we really don't want to hear this kind of bad news and this is the worst thing that gambling can bring to us. Our decisions are very clouded and we can't really separated the reality. It was a bad statement from the editor. Even if they believed they have zero reasons to be called into it, they should have atleast shown some sympathy afterall it's another human dying. I too don't believe the Adin Ross or his team has not incited the suicide in any way and that was the personal decision of the fan.

Your funny bro, to me your the one who doesn't want to quite gambling, its not as tho they have a grip on you or your forced to the issue here is you need to renew your mind about this cause addiction is a tign of the mind. I have a friend who has been into smoking addiction before for two years but when

I don't exactly watch him, but how does he conduct himself when streaming? How did the advertising happen? Yes, I totally agree to what you just said above, because if there is anybody to be blame for this young man's death, "Adin Ross" is the rightful person to be blame for haven indirectly made his followers addicted to gambling while trying to experiment most of the tips and strategies they may have watched him doing in his videos. Well, this isn't a surprise. The number of suicides due to gambling is really high compared to other suicidal problems out there. This is what they want to influence their audience with and there's nothing to blame with this issue other than this influencer. Personally, there have been times when I've thought about taking my life but I always remind myself that it's just a bad day and for sure tomorrow will be different. I want to quit gambling but I can't. I don't know why. Hopefully this won't happen to me.

This is why some countries are in fear of exposing gambling ads to their citizens, gambling isnt illegal in most countries but they forbid gambling promotions and adverts in the public, it will simply take a lot of lives, and many people are weak when it comes to thinking for themselves, they can take their lives or commit grave crimes.

I have never been pushed my streamers before because I know what's happening behind the scenes, streamers don't lose any money, they are either faking the casino wins or they are using money contributed to them through their fans to gamble.

AFAIK Eddie own the Kick platform which is dedicated for gambling streaming. Additionally, Adin Ross is big streamer partner of Stake which is the Kick platform dedicated to use for gambling streaming. I doubt that they take down their huge asset like Adin but rather(maybe) they will just give him a warning but not to the point of kicking him out.

Suicide cases over gambling are not something we have heard recently throughout our discussions about gambling. so, in this case I don't have the capacity to interpret someone. It should be the viewers who are smarter in their responses when watching streamers' broadcasts.

What I expect is that a disclaimer be made visible to pass the responsibilities of what people do with the information to them. He style of presentation, who often appear as being controversial, may just be part of his uniqueness even though he seems to go too extreme. I wouldn't hold it on him for another of his follower taking his life, there is really no justification for that. With a disclaimer, followers should understand the importance of maintaining their sanity while consuming the content.

This is not the first time someone is taking his life with even awkward reason. We must not ban people or activities just because people who are sick could not know how to control their emotions. Unfortunately, not all streamers especially gambling promoters are concerned of such instances simply because they are being paid to advertise and encourage for a particular platform. Sad reality is that they are doing it to earn money, which is a right motive but a bit off with the method to achieve such purpose. Sometimes most people add other life challenges to what they experience from gambling streams, which will place their depression on another level. So most people don't just commit suicide because they watch streamers lose games or because they play and lose a large amount of money to gambling.

I'm not sure how I feel about streamers because I do enjoy watching some of them. The content can be quite entertaining. I don't enjoy the big fake streamers such as xposed, trainwreckz(might be misspelled), Drake's fake stream for stake, Rosh, or any of the guys that are wagering $1000 or more per spin. Anyone who believes they are wagering that amount daily and not caring might not be ok in the head. They are doing a show for the gambling site and being paid for their time, the money you see being wagered is nothing but pure air.

You literally made a good point dragging out the words "Examine" and the "Fake money". If you are in the same Iines with me as I may think, let those streamers with their  coalition platforms be thoroughly followed up with a research and authentic verifications to examine if actually yes, what the streamer is aided on the speculations by influencing the audience which basically attracts them to the platforms are reliable and realistic because most of these streamers are only coated on a sugary labels just for attractions but never tasted like one.

Did read the content, and in our country, I know many noticed it already as well, but there are some online game streamers that turned out to be gambling promoters already. If anybody here is living on the same country as mine, and has played online games (MOBA), you know them as well. Well, this isn't a surprise. The number of suicides due to gambling is really high compared to other suicidal problems out there. This is what they want to influence their audience with and there's nothing to blame with this issue other than this influencer. Personally, there have been times when I've thought about taking my life but I always remind myself that it's just a bad day and for sure tomorrow will be different. I want to quit gambling but I can't. I don't know why. Hopefully this won't happen to me.

This is a terrible news and I wish there was more things being done to prevent suicides. It doesn't really matter if it comes from gambling addiction, problems in a relationship, getting fired, or any other big issues in life where many people are struggling with. Suicides are terrible because it not only ends the life of the person suffering, it also hurts all the people around him. Being a family member or a close friend of a suicide victim is devastating, because you will ask yourself all your life if you could have done something differently and helped more. The government should invest more in the prevention and therapy to help people in need. Lol I have to admit that I didn't know about the platform "Kick" until I read your post now. Did a quick search and found that they are paying millions for contracts with well known streamers from Twitch, which I do of course know.

Calling a suicide "old news" is probably never a good idea, let alone in a dismissive tone. But in this case it is even worse when it is really known that the suicide was the consequence of a gambling addiction of someone who followed a streamer mostly streaming casino slots. I mean this would get me thinking about my actions at least. Streaming casino slots is rightfully highly controversial. All addictions work the same way in the brain and whether it be alcohol or drugs, gambling can be as bad in terms of the processes in the brain and how it can harm a human being.

You could argue that gaming could be harmful as well if people start losing control over their social lives. That's true, but when you are a gaming addict, usually the damage you undergo can be repaired in a reasonable amount of time. If someone loses control over gambling and destroys their financial situation, this may have life-long consequences and can perhaps not be repaired in a reasonable amount of time.

Since I don't know all the circumstances, I can't really judge what exactly was the case here. But if I had a free choice as to what I would like to successfully stream on a huge platform, gambling and casino slots would not be on my list. First, these streamers are making money by the advertisements that they were hired for. Second, streamers have also the obligation to determine which kind of advertisements they would allow on their channel. Yeah, I think you make some fair points.  From what I have seen, a lot of these streamers are not exactly truthful when it comes to that gambling stuff they do on screen and  they act like they are playing with real cash, but it turns out that is not true.  And getting kids hooked on gambling? Probably it all adds up to the point of taking his own life, I mean for sure addiction could actually be a huge problem in the long run but I dont think it is going to be that easy or just because of money someone is going to take his life. That is a common trick by these influencers and they show to their viewers of how easily they won the bets but in reality, that is impossible for casual players.
I ain't falling into this trick as we have been gambling for many years and the chances never change. As a gambler, we should know when to stop and limit our time in gambling because the more we are doing this, the bigger the chances of getting into addiction. Following these so-called gambling experts makes no sense because they are the reason why many gamblers get in trouble for believing that they are true to what they have spoken.

Some streamers do care about their audience and they don't endorse things that they know can be bad for those who follow them. However, that is not the case with all of them and most of them would do anything for money, and they have to do that because they earn a living by doing that, but they should at least try and bring content to people that wouldn't be harmful for them in any way.

Streaming platforms need to make sure that streamers on the platform don't go beyond a certain limit promoting things that might not be beneficial for the viewers or on a contrary, they can become harmful for them if they follow those streamers and try to do the same things as they do on stream.

I agree. People should realize that it’s mainly our choices that lead us to where we are presently. We could be influenced and motivated to take some actions you ordinarily wouldn’t,, but in the end, no one actually forced the individual to take those actions that led to suicidal thoughts and behavior. We should consider being more responsible for our actions and not try to run away from the outcome.

It may become a big problem for the influencer and perhaps the platform itself being used when 50% and upwards of his fans and followers become suicidal after having listened and encouraged by the streamer to do whatever.

Only few people who watch streams of casino games become problem gamblers, let alone commit suicide.

What a shame, as much as there's a small part of the blame involved in the person that just died because of addiction, I think that it's important that we also address this issue with irresponsible influencers, I don't think that people that don't have the mental faculty and capability to be a role model to their audiences should be allowed to stream because let's face it, kids and people that have no self-control and susceptible to idolatry are going to tune in to your stream and you may not see it as a streamer but you've got to understand that there's a lot of people out there with different behaviors and you might be the reason why they're into something, you won't be called an influencer for nothing, even if that word's associated with retarded clout chasers, you still have to remember that people idolize you so if they've done something heinous and they call you out as an idol or inspiration to that thing that they've done, you're partially responsible.

99% of them dont care and would really be having that concern into their followers or audience, as long they could really be able to make or earn money then this what matter the most. They dont care about those
effects on what those viewers would really be able to hit up or something that would happen into them. They do their job and as a viewer it is really that on your own discretion if we do speak about
trying to do something which you have seen in the net. It would be just that depending on you on how you would really be making yourself that making good decisions because everything
wouldnt really be messy if you are really just that sensible on the things that you are dealing with. You cant really make your life to mess with if you are really just that mindful on the actions you are making.

You know the worst part of this whole streamer and influencer shit  is that, people nowadays so much depend on the predictions of the so called online experts/streamers rather than working on their own predictions, they are more moved by the so called wins these influencers flaunt on their pages every single day, and they make gambling appear so simple and easy, making people to develop a very wrong perspective about gambling, which isn't supposed to be so because so many gamblers have been misled and compelled into making wrong gambling choices and taking miscalculated risks which has landed them into a very bad state.

I have never been into streamers as a from of entertainment, personally. They used to be more likeable and relatable in the 2010, now everything related to than has become about the same games and attitudes with can be very disgusting at times. In the case of gambling streamers it can be even worse. It is bad when someone have so much on an influence over teens and children which religiously watch when on the internet, playing games like Leage of legends or Dota for hours, but watching someone to gamble for literal hours and see their reaction can easily incite to engage in gambling for the first time.

In this situation where a person fell desperate enough to end their existence, I would say both the stream and the viewer/fan share responsibility. The streamer because of the things he does and says, disregarding the loss of life and the potential damage being done to teen and the fan for choosing to allow himself to fall into such a bottomless pit as addition is.

I can only hope he is resting in peace and this won't ever repeat anytime soon ...
