Curry was on fire! I think he really wants to make USA Olympic champions and with how team USA is currently looking , they are on the road to get those golds medals. Uhm , regarding Serbia , I personally think they did their best or at least they tried to play their best bastkeball but they really don't have a team that can fight with USA right now even if Jokic tried his best to score as many points as he could.

Yeah man, Curry was the leading scorer of the team; he scored 24 points and was 6-9 from beyond the arc. When Curry shoots like that, USA will most likely dominate their opponents, as it's hard to beat a team that has a strong presence inside and a good outside shooter as well. I think they need to pressure Curry because when he heats up, everything will go in favor of Team USA. And to think this is just an exhibition game—what more in the actual game. For sure, Team USA will make fewer mistakes and tighten their defense even more.

I do agree that the USA is going to dominate the Olympics basketball competition with the team that they've sent in Paris. They are even compare to 1992 Dream Team. And in these exhibitions, we've seen them overpowering teams.

And if I'm not mistaken, US and Serbia are in the same bracket, so it will be interesting to see how this exhibitions is because for sure they are going to see more to be able to know who is going to advance.

Just interesting to note though that Curry could have seen his assistant coach on the other side, Dejan Milojevic, unfortunately, the Serbian died on a heart attack this year.

Realistically peaking, USA is almost unbeatable with their current roster because all the players is a natural star player on their own meaning that anyone can step up even the bench players if Curry is not performing well unlike other country team that has weak bench players.

USA now use their best line-up just like the old times because they are eager to secure the gold. Canada and France are the best contender for USA but I really that they can stop a roster like this which is composed with prime players in NBA.

Maybe I don't understand something, but how one of them can be eliminated early? They play in same group, 2 best teams 2 best 3rd placed will go to 1/4 finals
I want anyone, but not USA to win gold, but seems that this time they're just too good with squad that they have and last dance of their stars. But I count on knockout stage - single game format where everything is possible.

While I do agree that friendly games means nothing at all and we are not going to see anything similar during the Olympic games itself. I still think that we should consider how it is going to end up with USA win anyway. It would require a miracle for them to lose this one, this is Lebron's very final Olympics, while he did not join all of them, being able to play in the Olympics for 20+ year difference, is a huge achievement in any kind of sport, and should not be considered that much of a situation that would be broken easily.

All in all, these players will probably mostly all have their last games, not all, but many of them, and I think they want to get out with a gold. Lebron may actually even have his very last season of NBA too, I have no idea if he made his decision, but he talked about his desire to play at least one season with his son, now that his son is here, he may actually retire after playing one season, which will be so sad for the world of basketball.

For the past 20 years we have watched Lebron play so wonderfully, having an NBA without Lebron will be something we need to get used to, and won't be that easy to handle, he connected basically late 90's players to new players between his start to end, so he is a big era of NBA himself.

I can't see Canada pushing them yet.  They have a solid squad but the makeup of this team is perfect.  Having AD and embid in the middle was a smart choice.  Them the wings and guards to bring it all home.  I can't see in a competitive environment that this team will go down easily.  Not that it can't happen but I think both a bad shooting night for the US and a great shooting night for the other team has to collide for them to get bumped.

Yes, you can also say that in practice as well, but guess what during team's practice they are very competitive already because they know that they will have to bring everything even in practice or in this case exhibitions to see their strengths and mentality.

We've heard news about Kerr and Jordan getting at each other in practice and then Draymond punching Poole.

But I do agree, upsets do happen and for sure other teams will target and really pushed the USA team here, with the likes of Canada and France.

Just by looking at their roster alone, we know already that they will win it all and dominate the Basketball Olympics with fashion.
Which country can come close to them? Australia? France? Germany? They even beat Serbia by 20+ points. That's how dominant they are, and they will be like that all throughout the Olympics. As for Le-GM, it's a great achievement for his basketball career to be playing alongside these young and talented players, and it will be a greater achievement if he wins a Gold medal.

All in all, these players will probably mostly all have their last games, not all, but many of them, and I think they want to get out with a gold. Lebron may actually even have his very last season of NBA too, I have no idea if he made his decision, but he talked about his desire to play at least one season with his son, now that his son is here, he may actually retire after playing one season, which will be so sad for the world of basketball.

As for him playing his final NBA season, why did he sign a 2-year contract if that's the case? He signed a 2-year contract and will become a UFA at the '26-'27 season. That's why social media is on fire with the current roster of the USA team and they it's unfair because KD is not yet playing. What if KD suddenly plays? The weapons they have is really scary. And you can see Jokic's reaction after ANT stole a ball from him and then dunk on the ball. I wonder though if they have a specific team that they treat as a big threat on them. And then Steph Curry and Lebron combination as well is another one that we have been waiting. So as basketball fans, we are almost in consensus that it's going to be very hard to see them losing the Gold medal in Paris Olympics.

Yeah sga is nice and rj is great on that team with their chemistry they will be tough.  Just think the US just has too much firepower to counted with long term.  Everytime a sub comes on its just another all nba player coming on the court.  I think that's where the US has the advantage, is their bench. Usually you get a break when subs come on.  That's physiologically demoralizing to deal with

Same here, I think the odds have dropped a bit because of the performance of the USA in their exhibition games. For bettors like me who don't bet a lot of money, 1.20 odds will not excite us, but that x15 in case of an upset will happen, that will convert to a lot of money.

Let's say the USA have an 80% chance of winning in the Olympics, but who cares? Exhibition games are different when it's the actual game, and every country is playing hard to compete and try to win the gold. So I like your idea about that bet, mate.

Later it looked that USA will run away with strong 37 points 3rd quarter. but South Sudan stayed in game until last seconds. On last USA attack Lebron took everything to his hands USA were leading by 1 point with 8 seconds remaining. South Sudan had decent last attack, but wasted their chance to win the game.

That's a lot of money but if it is me betting on this odds, I will only stake small amount as you can easily lose this bet. We know the chance of USA, hence, the very low odds. They are the powerhouse when it comes to this sports. But of course, upset can always happen. This is Olympics, so every team has the goal of getting that coveted trophy. I've seen south Sudan played during the FIBA olympics and they are really tall, but I didn't expect they'll be able to give team USA a good challenge.

I'm Greece recently there was a bit of controversy due to Thomas Walkup being in the team. He's an NBAer but for some reason he will be playing with Greece in the national team... Well, that's because he's playing for a Greek basketball team, Olympiakos, and only around a year and a half after his arrival in Greece he received a honorary naturalization by the Greek government directly. 

This is a very big contradiction given that the antentokoumbros could not receive their papers for their whole life even though they were born in Greece, just because their parents were poor immigrants. They're now top basketball players ofc and all their papers are sorted, but very big contradiction all these people are on the same team now.

Yeah, it was all over the news, Lebron saving the day for the team USA. They really had a rough start while Sudan shoots pretty well that's why they were able to take a good lead early. But USA has other things in mind, they don't want to be upset here. So kudos to them for making that big comeback and still win the game, but as we say, if the other team is shooting good, it's really hard to stop them.

We should commend Sudan as well for playing good D against Steph and not allow him having that kind of looks as the previous games. And so it was Lebron who has to do or take that last shot. Another litmus test for team USA and then passed it again.
