I can only imagine the feeling from both fans. As someone watching from afar, I must accord Rui Borges a round of applause for the fantastic job he's doing at Sporting Lisbon. He has done well to steady the ship since he took over from Joao Pereira. Under his management, Sporting Lisbon hasn't lose a league match, which is an extra boost going into today's game. They're on 5 matches winning streak and their last week's late winner against Gil Vincente tells you a lot about their character and how hungry they're for the trophy. We are no doubt going to have an exciting game today and I'm putting my money on Sporting to win or draw.

It's a good bet
I bet on Sporting to win despite knowing that the chance of a draw is also great, but I still believe that Sporting will win the game and practically be champions with that game

Right now it's advantage Sporting CP as they took the early lead in the 4th minute, although Benfica as of now has most parts of the ball possession but haven't yet threatened Sporting so far. Sporting had one chance and they took it and made it count. There's still more time for a lot to happen but for now, Sporting has all the advantage just as it was speculated and also from previous records in recent years. As the league is, the winner here will definitely win the league.

Sporting took the lead in the fourth minute of the match. And after that the team played defensively.

Both Sporting and Benfica have equal points. Both teams have scored 79 points in 33 matches. However, due to the goal difference, sporting has been able to occupy the top spot of the table. I would say that Benfica is a bit unlucky. This team has played quite well throughout the season. But they have not been able to occupy the top spot due to their failure to win important matches.

This is a very good round, I think the most complicated, at least in the pre-match, is Benfica vs Sporting. The rest is more of a clash of favoritism between the teams.

So far I'm getting everything right. I'm surprised I even got the big Benfica vs Sporting clash right, it was literally perfect. I hope to keep up the pace with the rest of the games and Rio Ave played an incredible game with a 3-3 draw.

It seems that both teams have not really shown who is the best for this season. The match between Benfica and Sporting CP ended with a 1-1 draw. Even though in that match Benfica was quite favored to win, but they were unable to maximize it and even in that match they had to concede a goal in the early minutes of the match where in the 4th minute Francisco Trincao managed to register his name on the scoreboard, before finally in the second half Benfica managed to reply to the goal through a goal scored by K. Akturkoglu.

and it is true with what you said that for the second half, Sporting CP played under full pressure from Benfica players, but fortunately they were able to dampen the pressure well and only conceded one goal for the second half. and when the match entered injury time, it turned out that the pressure given by Benfica had not subsided, even one of Sporting CP's defenders had to leave the field before the match ended, where to stop the attack carried out by Benfica players, in the 90+8 minute Ricardo Esgaio committed a fatal violation and finally he was given a red card by the referee, so that Sporting ended the match with a total of 10 men.

Sporting CP failed to defeat Benfica, having the game end in a 1:1 draw. This will cost them another additional one, or more matches if they still fail to defeat their next opponent, Vitoria de Guimaraes to win the league title.

Although Benfica, with the same league points, with only the goal difference came through in their best effort but Sporting stood their ground.
The early goal from the good work of Gyokeres, with a super finish from Trincao did the job.They defended brilliantly well, kudos to the defense for doing a great job too.
They only need to out-match Benfica's result next week to win the league as they are leveled on points and they have the better head-to-head record as an advantage.

That early Gyokeres goal was big shock for Benfica, but eventually they returned to game and managed to make score 1:1, what is obviously not enough for them. Not most beautiful game to watch, but it's something expected when stakes is so high. Di Maria had probably worst game of season that he was replaced already at halftime.
Sporting now simply need to win in last round. But for their opponents, Vitoria Guimaraes it's not meaningles game too as they still fighting for place in Europe.
While Braga just being Braga. They lost to Casa Pia and most likely wasted their chance to end season in 3rd place. Casa Pia fight for nothing, but they looked very motivated tonight.

Finally, my bet paid off in this dramatic Benfica vs. Sporting clash. My 1.58x win has pleased my ago. I was aware that both teams were hungry for victory and have bunch of talented players who might put on the spot their counterparts, so backing either side blindly would be too risky move from the betting standpoint ^{though I’ve always had a soft spot for Benfica}. That said, I'm glad that Kerem Akturkoglu has managed to equalize the score in the second half. With a bit more luck, they could’ve even snatched the win.

Despite having lead in first half Sporting has never been in good control of game Benfica keep pressure but sadly not able to have good end of this game while in second half they have done good job and score goal which give them 1 point which is still not good for them to win title.

Good ups and downs in this season for Sporting specially after exit of Ruben Amorim things have never been ideal but still they have done good comeback and have another title Borges done good work for keeping things at the top and have won title in this season. Three poor results for Braga and now they are settled for fourth spot even Porto is also not at his best, but now they have good chance of keeping third spot which will lead them for another season into Europa League as Sporting and Benfica both are going for Champions League after having good success in this season.

For today's games, I only got Porto right, unfortunately. The rest were pretty close but didn't work out. But at least Porto didn't stumble like they did in the last round. And the draw between Benfica and Sporting only made the competition more exciting.

I expected Sporting to win, that's why I bet on them and when Sporting scored a goal, I said to myself that I'm right and stopped watching the game. As a Benfica fan, I don't like how Benfica plays against the big teams. They waste a lot of good opportunities and concede goals that lead to their defeat. Mathematically, I don't see how Sporting won't be champions. I highly doubt that Sporting will lose or draw the next game. I also highly doubt that Benfica will be able to win and still score a lot of goals in the next game. In my opinion, Sporting is already champions.

Here I think Sporting will be the champions, with Benfica in second, Porto in third and Braga in fourth

Unfortunately Braga missed a great chance to be in a comfortable position to face Benfica and now they have a really hard task
Benfica are more used to decisive matches and I believe that the top 3 will win, keeping the positions as they are

And in the Taça de Portugal I even believe Benfica will win

Pretty tough table as the top of the Portuguese league table is really looking competitive as the point difference is not much as both teams at the first and second positions at the top of the table is having thesame points so the title is Left between sports and Benfica as any of the two teams have what it takes to become champions of the Portuguese league

Sporting. I will not say that I am pretty sure but mathematically a victory means they will be a champion and a draw for both Sporting and Benfica will be in favour of Sporting.
Benfica needs to win and only win their match and waiting for Sporting to miss at least a point.
The rivals for both of them are the 4th and 5th teams in the league with Braga being less successful in the latest matches which is a point in favour of Benfica actually. Nevertheless, I see Sporting the winner.
