Great work by Sporting! They deserved it especially because of having a head-to-head superiority over Benfica.    That was some really good help in my opinion.

Benfica couldn't even win their final game man... I don't know maybe they heard about what's going on in Sporting's game and it broke them. At the end of the day, it was nice to have an exciting finish to the league. Next time hopefully Benfica get better. This is a back-to-back title for Sporting by the way. They still have a long way to go to catch up with Porto and Benfica in the number of league titles though.

If it were that Benfica played against a weaker team in their last match in the league, I would have agreed it was because Sporting CP was beating Guimaraes that made Benfica draw with Sporting Braga, but since Benfica played against Sporting Braga, who are occupying the 4th position in the Portuguese league table, it was clear that Benfica failed to beat Sporting Braga because it was a difficult match for them. If Sporting CP continues with this kind of performance in the next 10-15 years, I believe they will get close to FC Porto in the number of Portuguese titles.

No one is going to spare any players. They had a week to prepare the team. It's the last game of the season (except for Benfica, who are going to the Club World Cup - but they have time).

There is this favoritism towards Sporting and it is normal in my view because while they were winning and being champions, Benfica was drawing with Braga in a very doubtful game for Benfica. So, despite not having home or away, they are equal for me.
