Great to see you were able to apply pressure up the chain, because reputation can really be important around here and better not to ruin it for smaller amounts. Due to the nature of bitcoin and the anonymity you want to offer customers, it is hard to find a balance - even KYC documentation is being faked by AI these days and it can look very convincing.

Hopefully you establish a longer term relationship with cloudflare as they seem to be the only organisation that has grown big enough to defeat DDOS attacks reliably. Casinos are big targets for extortion and there are some state level actors out there who have done this many times before.

It might be a coincidence, but it's funny that I know at least two websites that get DDOS attacks quite often. One of them needs to go as far as going into low functionality mode to thwart the attack. They also use Cloudflare as an additional measure, so I guess it's standard practice to use Cloudflare for DDOS attacks. I'm not up to date with how much it costs for a hosting server to provide additional protection nowadays, but it's definitely not cheap. Probably worth it if it means keeping your customer satisfied though.

If a casino or a service can afford to run a huge server that can handle a lot of traffic, they don't have to think about a DDoS attack anymore. The only way is to use some protection, such as Cloudflare, AWS, and Azure. Cloudflare is the most popular one.

Yes, Cloudflare only allows to minimize it but it is still very useful for now because at least with Cloudflare as an additional strength for security, the potential for not causing a big effect or even protecting against DDoS attacks can still occur even though this can still be broken by hackers who do not easily give up to make personal profit for themselves.

But on the other hand, this is a special concern of course for service providers if in the end their site is hit by a DDoS attack several times and not a few players complain about it, then of course there must be a repair process to make this even though it may not be avoidable but can be minimized, because after all when we are on one of the sites or platforms, of course comfort is always one of the main factors considered.
