Divide by 100,000,000 to get the number of Guldencoins. I chose to do it this way because this makes it a drop-in replacement for systems already using https://blockchain.info/nl/q/totalbc

Hi Strataghyst,

Thanks so much for the kind gesture, like the community, the team have also been buying NLG when we can.

I think most of us will agree if we going to raise funds it would best to raise them together for projects like we did for iOS that will take Guldencoin to new and greater heights as a currency, Geert definitely does deserve donations though as he will be the technical dev lead for Guldencoin for the longterm and will be hand picking developers he trusts to work on Guldencoin in the future.

From a personal point of view I want to help leave a lasting legacy which Guldencoin, that is my drive... to get Guldencoin to a stage where we don't even need to exchange into fiat, it's a long road but we have the user base to do this! Smiley

We will achieve this goal for sure there's great progress being made every day! And there will be hiccups and bumps in the road but as a community we stand strong and will overcome every obstacle and evolve together we can make this happen.

To all new to Guldencoin don't hesitate to join the forums and speak your mind or criticise.
There are no stupid questions feel free to say and ask everything!

Thank you community you make this happen! Cool

I think it would be great to have an option to scan a QR code from the QT wallet to send money directly to a valid scanned QR code for a NLG payment.

When more people would like this feature, I can try to make this functionality available (in the coming 6 month or so) for our Gulden - Qt Wallet.
I think that would be awesome because payments should be as simple and easy as copying an image and press the send button to confirm the payment  Cool

Sounds interesting, what do you mean though? Scan QR option in the wallet by activating the webcam on your laptop for instance to then scan the QR? That would be nice.

I was thinking about a grabber like snagit or so to grab a image from a website and than press the pay button or a price to pay when the QR code is only an address instead of address + price.
Maybe later also a webcam option.

I downloaded snagit. So you would implement a sort of snagit-button into the QT-wallet, that in an instance shows all the info of the grabbed QR-code in the send-screen of the QT-wallet? Would be nice. Smiley Same function as the camera on the mobile wallet. I don't think there is any coin that has that yet.

Sounds interesting and useful indeed. Loading in your paper wallets for example or load coins to your smartphone. Go for it!

Coin of the Magi!

Hello Guldencoin community,

This is Joe from XMG, I was asked to take a look at here basically a few days ago, however at that time I was too involved in XMG hardfork to look over the details. I realized my post could be too late so just sent a message to dev, while dev mentioned public discussion. Apologize if I am missing something, can't read all past pages, but I got something about the difficulty adjustment by average past blocks. In the approach using exponential moving average, there is a parameter which can control the averaging weights giving to each of blocks. By changing this parameter, we can get the difficulty dominantly from 1, 2, or equal average of past blocks. In a more complex way is dynamically changing this parameter at where needed. That might need some closer looking at some real sample data. In addition to that, we can also take into account the block time in calculating weights; by doing this, less weight is giving to a block which has the lower difficulty, to avoid huge dropping of the difficulty. If any of you are interested to discussion, I am open to that, send me a PM. Thx.

It's really good to see more and more places to spend Guldencoin @.

@devs, how is the progress going on the difficulty adjustment?
