Clubs like Bayern are lucky that they have been able to score a good number of goals in the first leg and will generally be more comfortable in the second leg trying to defend their lead because had they not had the good number of goals against Atalanta, then it would have been very worrying for them in the second leg, as they are having a goalkeeper crisis. Yeah as you told Bayern Munich currently has three first team goalkeepers and one backup out with injuries. they have two more young goalkeepers in the UEFA squad but one is with the U19s and the other appears to be with Bayern II in the Bavarian Regional League. I don't know much about the Regional League or how that system works but it looks like a fourth. tier division.
If they didn't have the 6-1 advantage against Atalanta, i would say their job would be much harder but who knows what will happen. Even if they get past this match, the future is uncertain. and as for the Bundesliga, I have a feeling the other teams won't show them any mercy...

Do not underrate Manchester city tho, a comeback wouldn't be a big deal for them of real Madrid does not play well in the next match. Not underrate Manchester City but seeing their performance last match in domestic league after playing draw against West Ham absolutely Madrid will eliminate the Citizen at knock out round in Champion League. Losing three goals at first leg match its terrible for Manchester City indeed playing at their home not enough capital yet to win above four goals. The Champion League matches history, I don't see how many often  Manchester City make comeback and Madrid most often comeback after losing at first leg match.
In my opinion both Manchester City and Chelsea difficult to make comeback at second leg match after losing three goals at first leg match, they face the top and difficult team not easily to comeback or winning more than three goals.

Sacking Alonso was a premature decision, but apart from that I think Real Madrid is just not as strong as in other seasons. Their midfield is the weak part in their play and it usually was one of the best midfields you could find in football. Bellingham and Valverde are good, but Camavinga and Tchouaméni are not Real Madrid level considering the midfielders they had in the past.

If Real Madrid had gotten a better head coach to replace Xabi Alonso, they would have made a good decision but I agree with you, Arbeloa is not at the same quality level of Xabi Alonso, so this decision is truly terrible. With Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid still have risk of losing matches, losing titles but generally they would have better and more consistent performances than with Arbeloa. Most importantly with Xabi Alonso, they will have a better coach for big matches like upcoming two matches with Manchester City in UEFA Champions League round of 16.

So far we have been proven wrong. It was a shocker that Real Madrid could hammer Manchester City like that, never did I think that there would be so low resistance from Manchester City. This will be a big mountain to climb now in the second match. I don't think it is over yet because when they play in their home stadium, it will again be a different story, but Real Madrid can now concentrate on their counter attacks and that makes it difficult to come back into the game. One goal and it's already four goals needed for Manchester City.

I hope for a fast goal in the first half as that would probably raise the excitement and turn on the heat in the stadium. Hopefully it is going to be a fun game regardless of the current score.

This is soo true, honestly it took that last leg against Man City to make me realize this philosophy, Real Madrid are lethal in the Champions League regardless of there form. And the funny thing is that Real Madrid won't park the bus against Man City because that would create an avenue for City to create chance to attack them. They know City's defense is fragile, and they would take advantage of that.

This is why you can never look down on experience, it will always tell, Madrid is very experienced in the champions league as well as Manchester City but Madrid has won the title severally and even at a time they won it at least twice in a row, so when it has to do with winning, they have that edge ahead of Manchester City and indeed they will leave no stone unturned to use all opportunities they get against Manchester City.

It is looking pretty dark for Sporting CP, I won't say it is impossible, but Bodø Glimt showed how good they are when they not only beat Inter Milan at home, but also in the Giuseppe-Meazza stadium. That was a big hint as to how good they can be. If they don't mess it up with goalkeeper mistakes and what not and play a focused game from start to finish, I don't think Sporting CP will even get close at any time during the game. It is refreshing to see a team like that hold their ground in the highest European competition.

Bodo Glimt is one of the most promising team in the champions league this season, winning the likes of Manchester City in 20 January  with a 3 goals to 1, inter home and away and even Atletico Madrid in an unpredictable manner and now sporting in an embarrassing 3 goals to nothing,  so Sporting getting back to qualifying runs will be a story for another year as bodo Glimt are determined to go beyond imagination in the champions league this season.  Sporting made a terrible mistake in there first meeting by giving them the chance to find the back of there net when they know they don't have what it takes to withstand the unimaginable pressure of bodo Glimt and now correcting the mistake is what can never be possible. Galatasaray has already overachieved relative to their squad market value just by reaching this stage. This takes the pressure off the players. Meanwhile, it’s a must win for Liverpool. I’m really intrigued to see how the game plays out.

Is winning possible at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea? Yes. How about qualifying? PSG would definitely qualify and Chelsea can try again next year if they can qualify for this tournament next season. PSG really made good use of the first leg and they can just relax and comfortably defend what they've already achieved in the first leg. I believe Chelsea would try everything possible to surprise us but the margin is big and not what they can equalize without conceding.

The difference is too big for Atalanta to catch up so it is certain that Bayern Munich will qualify for the next round, and if as you said it is true, that is Kompany rotates his team in this second leg match, this could be a risky opportunity, namely betting money on Atalanta because I am sure the bookies will give high odds for their victory, assuming Atalanta wins narrowly in Germany later then it will be very profitable, but I am a bit doubtful that Bayern will do that, I still believe they will play to keep winning.

Regardless of how strong or weak Real Madrid generally are in La Liga, they are always one of the most dangerous teams in the Champions League and always will be. They always have the psychological edge and now that they’re 3–0 up, I don’t really see any chance of City progressing.

There are some teams that will win you 3-0 in the first leg of either round of 16, quarter final, and semi final, you can't overture the score in the second leg. Real Madrid is one of those teams, so I totally agree with you that Manchester City has no chance of reaching the next stage of the Champions League.

I also don't see City progressing to the next round of the competition, i don't see City equalising Madrid on aggregate let alone winning the game tomorrow. I think the Real Madrid team spirit has found it's way back to Madrid. Real Madrid won their last 2 games by scoring more than two goals, this hasn't happened often in their past games. Manchester city recent form hasn't been encouraging. If city are looking to continue in the Champions League this season, they should not let any chance slip past them tomorrow, they would have to play like never before, because Madrid would not give them breathing space in tomorrow's game.

yes i must say that the level of the premier league is definitely not at the current level, the players who are currently there have been studied properly by those from other countries and have organized themselves accordingly, there is no reason why they should try to put a spanner in the works, they are already ruining everything on their own.

Bodo/glimt is a strong team. They played well against several strong teams in the first round. They qualified for the round of 16  by defeating a strong opponent like inter milan in the play-offs. They even won the first leg match against Sporting 3-0 . So the road to the  quarter-finals is relatively easy for them. I will not underestimate Sporting. They have a high chance  of winning the second leg home match. But it will be a very difficult task to secure a 3-goal win against bodo/glimt. My guess is that sporting will win by a maximum of 2  goals. The match is more likely to end in a 2 -1.
