Well, they’re four points behind Barcelona and have lost once to Getafe and once to Osasuna in recent weeks. Madrid has a squad that can win trophies, young, talented players who can get the job done. This match has been talked about much even before the first leg was played. I was so surprised to some extent how Real Madrid dominated the game with that number of goals and Manchester City were not able to score at least a goal. Barcelona were not able to beat Newcastle in their first leg game, that was surprising though but since this is the champions league, we shouldn’t get too surprised by the results of some teams in the competition. I actually agree with what you have said, because real Madrid is the only team I normally have confidence on when it comes to playing Champions League, don't estimate their performance anytime it comes to playing Champions League even though they are not upright in their La Liga games. Real Madrid is facing a lot of challenges due to injuries, where most of their best players are injured but despite that there are able to showcase their performance in their last game meaning their first leg against Manchester City, desperate Real Madrid victory in the first leg, i expected them to play harder because Manchester City are also very dangerous and they can do the unthinkable since the are the host.

Now I think the view is not about strong and weak because in terms of strength and quality of players in the first leg Madrid was not better than Manchester City because some of their core players were injured but when the mentality is very good then even unexpected situations can happen and a score that Manchester City might not even expect happened in the first leg match so the current strength cannot be a pure benchmark but mentality.
