Hey guys, just saw the odds from this bookie, what do you make of it? How are Barcelona and PSG still favorites? Meanwhile, Madrid and Munich have way higher odds, like their chances of winning are lower than PSG’s or something.

Honestly, this looks like a perfect chance early in the season to bet on teams with a strong shot at the UCL but with nice high odds. I’m sticking with Madrid and Munich though.

Maybe there's something the bookies know, that you don't? Don't you think so? Well, Barcelona is really in good shape to win the champions League this season. We're not going to judge by their past little dramas-- there's no team that makes a flawless victory throughout the league, without having to lose once or twice. I hardly bet on game like this, but even if I wanted to, surprisingly, i wouldn't wager on Barcelona to win the league either.

Meanwhile, I just want to see a more competitive league and a more deserving win for whoever that's going to be for, not just some rigged stuff at the end.

It's only been two matches and the strong team they've faced is only one, Chelsea (and even then Chelsea is in inconsistent condition) so it's natural that they are currently at the top of the standings, well from the schedule the strong teams they will face next are PSG and Arsenal the rest they will pass the challenge quite easily. From a situation like this I think Bayern will qualify for the next round easily but because football is unpredictable so surprises are also not impossible, and regarding the chances Bayern remains one of the candidates, but to guarantee they will be champions there is still PSG who is more assured with their current performance.

Bayern Munich has not started facing really tough team just yet in the champions league so I will agree that it is very much possible for them to make it to the next stage of the champions league, at that stage we will get to see their strength and chances of contending at top tier level.  PSG is not assured to be the champions either, even with all the fantastic performances we have witnessed with some of these top teams, it will be only fair to give them the benefit of doubt before concluding on them.

Every season Bayern Munich has always been a favorite, even if they ultimately fail, but at least they always make it past the round of 16 and often reach the quarterfinals. However, considering the increasingly solid Bayern squad this season, as evidenced by their current goal scoring output, especially with Harry Kane, who consistently scores every match, Bayern Munich cannot be underestimated, and this season they will be a formidable opponent in UCL.

Coach Kompany's challenge is facing strong teams, and coincidentally in the fourth and fifth matches of UCL they will face strong clubs, namely PSG and Arsenal. Because teams that are overly favored often fail early. Or sometimes they don't even reach the semi-finals. This happens quite often. Last season, PSG had a poor start, even having to fight their way into the round of 16 through the play-offs. But who would have thought they'd bounce back from that stage and go undefeated, ultimately winning their first Champions League title last season. Similar things can happen to teams we don't expect. And even to teams that start poorly. I'd consider Chelsea. Look at the odds. They're really tempting.

I think Barcelona will most likely qualify for the playoffs, but as long as Hansi Flick doesn't address their reliance on Yamal or Raphinha, their chances will become increasingly slim.

It’s hard for him to fix that because Yamal is Barcelona’s best player. The team is simply used to keeping their best individual on the pitch as a leader. It’s the same situation as with Messi unfortunately, nowhere near as good. Barcelona lost to PSG, who were missing four starting players. To me, whatever odds that have been displayed are just mare predictions and human thoughts or feelings, I don't really take it to heart or seriously personally. You know, everyone has a right of choice, at least, the freedom to say what you think, that's just what I see, nothing more. Even the best performed team in the group of the UCL can be kicked out in round of 16, it's not new, it's football.

Just like you said, who would have predicted PSG to be the champions of Europe last season following there poor start? But they came our strong at the knock out stage, eliminating four England teams to reach the finals if am not mistaking. So what can we say, it's football, any team can rise from there shambles and turn giants. 

To me, none is favourite. All the teams have a fair chance. The league just started, two games on, we have seen nothing yet. It is at the quarter finals we can even begin to imagine the potential winners, even at that point, nothing is still sure. Imagine Liverpool who cam out unbeaten all through the group stages last season were eliminated in the round of 16, isn't that surprising? I don't pay attention to all those odds by the Booker's, to me, it has no say on who might win, it's just predictions.

I am not entirely sure who will win this year, and that makes it so much fun. When you have no idea who is the best team in the league right now, you end up with a lot more fun because of the unknown. Like right now it is easy to bet because there are many teams playing against smaller teams as well and when they do that then betting on those games becomes easy, because it's the group stages. But afterwards, we are going to be shocked to see some teams lose.

Last year wasn't that far off, PSG was terrible at group stages and nobody gave them any chance to win, and yet they beat so many English clubs and they managed to win the title as well. So I would say that it will be similar, we are not going to know until games are played.

Barcelona and PSG were hotter than Bayern Munich and Real Madrid especially Real Madrid that had a very poor last season. The odds they allocated to the clubs are very correct and deserving.

Luis Enrique is not frighten by the oppositions he will play this season, he just have to keep his team in shape and ensure winning is made easy for them. There's absolutely no time for PSG to delay greatness because they're acquainted with it already.

Yeah you are correct RaltcoinsB, Barcelona is still a very good team and one can't use because PSG won them and say they are not informed or has no chance to lift the champions League title this season they played a very good football and it was a difficult one for PSG however Barcelona needs to step up because right now they are not inform as expected in their League they Lost against Sevilla recently, that match was a match that everyone believe that Barcelona will win but they end up losing and not just with a small margin of goal but with a good member of goal, if Barcelona continue with this form they are using right now I don't think or believe they have any chance to lift the champions League title, however I trust the coach so much I believe he knows what is the problem and he will solve it immediately and Barcelona will come back to form again but if that don't happen I don't see any chance for Barcelona in this champions league title race .

Yamal is a good player and a great addition to the Barcelona team but I don't think the club rely only on him for all their matches. They have other great players like Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Raphinha  and others who can win matches even in the absence of Yamal. I think Barcelona is just going through a difficult time which is normal in football so with time they will get over it and continue their winning pattern that have earned them the reputation they enjoy today.

From previous records and past winners I'm almost certain that non of the teams that has a odd range of 6+ to 7+ odd will win the Champions League this season. It's not rocket science, it follows a pattern of not flavouring the so called favourites of the early stages. It will get to a stage and these teams will start getting knocked out.

That’s a good achievement for a consideration but tis is Uefa Champions League, no team is small and every game could just be so unpredictable…

Yamal is a good player and a great addition to the Barcelona team but I don't think the club rely only on him for all their matches. They have other great players like Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Raphinha  and others who can win matches even in the absence of Yamal. I think Barcelona is just going through a difficult time which is normal in football so with time they will get over it and continue their winning pattern that have earned them the reputation they enjoy today.

Lamine Yamal is a great talent for Barcelona - but he's still very young and needs a lot of experience. He's been phenomenal in the last two seasons - but I'm not sure he's truly capable of taking on such a huge responsibility. His current popularity has already pushed other contenders down the pecking order on the world stage - in fact I almost think it will be Lamine who wins the Ballon d'Or this year.

Barcelona basically needs Lamine in their squad - it is proven that without him Barcelona's performance is very bad, Raphinha is also an important player there. Hansi Flick must be wise in developing Lamine's potential - he's young, but his talent surpasses that of the average player his age. If Lamine can improve this season more than last, then I believe he will win prestigious individual awards next year.
