My understanding is that they have an upcoming game next year on January 28, 2026 against Qarabag, and I think it will be a pretty exciting match. But in fairness, Liverpool have shown very good performances throughout the whole year of 2025.

It's not too late for Liverpool to make changes, as I see them slowly recovering and showing positive results, although not yet at their full potential. A top-four finish is still quite achievable for Liverpool, as they currently sit in sixth place, and there are still many games left to play to reach that position, as long as Liverpool's performances improve significantly. However, I'm not so sure Liverpool can achieve much better results in the Champions League, as the competition there will be much tougher.

At UCL it doesn't matter how much money you have, it's about football culture your team has and as long as you can do a fine job of it then you are going to be fine. Real Madrid is a very rich team, and I mean very rich, but even they do not spend as much as some of the other teams, this is the team that got Mbappe for free instead of paying transfer fee for him, same with Alex Arnold, and they are still doing fine.

Liverpool certainly isn't too late especially since they have a high potential to automatically qualify for the knockout stage without having to go through the play-offs. Furthermore Liverpool's form has improved remaining unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions. This is certainly a good achievement to start improving their game and becoming stronger again. Furthermore the transfer window opens next month so Arne Slot can add strength to the squad to further strengthen it. The Portuguese player has been a really valuable asset for Paris Saint-Germain. I think Porto sold him for a good price because if he had stayed at Porto, he wouldn't have reached that price. That will not guarantee there possibility of winning the UCL trophy. You can not throwaway one of your good players and expect good result from the remaining players. Vitinha moved from Porto to PSG in July 2022, and his contribution to PSG has been impressive. While Vitinha previously played for FC Porto Youth, when asked about his future, he responded that Porto is like home to him, and he would like to return someday, but that will depend on his career and future prospects.
