What a terrible performance by my Inter last night!
From last season's finalists to being knocked out by Bodo Glimt. A terrible Champions League season this time around, even though we started well, but Christian Chivu's lack of experience clearly played a big part in this elimination!
Congratulations to Bodo Glimt, who thoroughly deserved to reach the last 16.

Inter put in their best performance in the second leg of the playoffs, but they were already in a difficult position before the second leg, having lost the first leg 3-1 against Bodø Glimt. It was a painful defeat, given that Bodø Glimt's strong and solid defense made it impossible for Inter to turn the game around.
Bodø Glimt relied solely on deadly counterattacks, and they succeeded. Christian Chivu failed to learn from the first leg defeat, which should have motivated them to improve in the second leg, playing at home, or at least winning, even if they didn't advance to the round of 16.

Juventus will face Galatasaray at home and they also lost the first leg 5-2. Juventus need to win by at least four goals to advance. If they win by three goals, they could take the match to extra time.

Juventus' recent performance is not at all encouraging. I doubt they will even get a win, let alone score three or four goals.

I guess you wouldn't say that Christian Chivu lacks experience in the Seria A, he still deserves some praises despite that he was unable to take Inter Milan to the round of 16 in the Champions League. If a coach performs badly in one competition but doing better in another competition, we shouldn't see them that they lack experience because in European competitions like the Champions League there are some teams that are very technical in their pattern of play such that a big team might not be able to win them easily, i think that is just what happened between Inter Milan and Bodo/Glimt because for Inter Milan to lose both home and away shows that there is a pattern of play that they couldn't understand from the Bodo/Glimt team.

Even if one or both of them qualify, these events have gone on to show how the Italian league has deteriorated. Teams like Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Napoli, and Roma are teams that should be among the elite teams in Europe, but sadly, they can't compete consistently with the top clubs in Europe because of how poor their finances are. They can't buy good players, and they can't keep the good players they have. Aside from the teams mentioned above, teams like Lazio, Fiorentina, and Atalanta are teams that should be doing better in the transfer market, in the league and in European competition, but they are all inconsistent teams.
The Serie A just need better management, financing and marketing to become the best league in Europe.

La Liga is also facing the same issue, but the problem with La Liga is with the management. They have made it impossible for the teams to compete in the transfer market and are forced to sell their good players. The league is gradualy deteriorated.

I don't know why people keep saying that inter Milan actually had a terrible game forgetting the fact that bodo actually played a beautiful game because they have won almost all the big boys in the competition and I won't be surprised that that would cause more upset in this champions league competition. Best advice is for all the top teams to be weary of this particular bodo team because they are out and active for almost all the big teams and it would be absolutely amazing if they would make it to the semi or even the finals of the competition

If Atlanta can double their goal, it will put Dortmund on pressure. It was an easy finish from Scamaka to give Atalana ahead of Dortmund with a 1-0 lead. Atalanta lost their most important person, the coach. Gasperini was a great coach and he knew the environment. They chose to sabotage themselves hiring Juric, a manager that failed everywhere he went, I don't understand how teams keep hiring him because it makes no sense. Now there is a new manager but Borussia have more experience than Atalanta, since the beginning they were the favorite team.

It's not Atalanta's fault that Gasperini refused to renew his contract with Atalanta and had negotiations with Roma on being their head coach. As for Juric, they made a very wrong decision and realised it after he kept them in a spot where they didn't expect to be, maybe he was the only available Alternative when Gasperini left but that was indeed a bad decisio.

 Borussia Dortmund's new coach is impressive he's doing his best in their domestic and managed to defeat Atalanta in the first leg but he has to caution his players so they don't end up conceding another goal and ruin their first in the first leg, Atalanta is currently leading by 1 goal and they have to make sure they equalize before the first half is over.

Italian clubs are facing backlashes in Champions league, their performance is on decline which is hurting them while their fans are also feeling not good. Napoli faced early exit while Inter Milan faced humiliating defeat in both matches which was big setback for the league leader.

I agree that this season, Italian teams seem to need to focus entirely on improving themselves. Their chances of progressing are slim and unpromising. This is the harsh reality of the Italian league, where the quality of play has fallen far behind. Inter have begun to backslide and realize they don't deserve to advance.

Like if someone had told me Inter Milan will be humiliated in such manner i'd say it's a lie, as in how can they lost home and away to Bodo/ Glimt like it was really unacceptable for me like i don't believe such a thing could happen and i was even thinking maybe it's a home match that Inter Milan might take advantage of it but it was wrong idea, or should i say they gave up the UEFA champions league competition to put more of their focus on the Italian Seria A i really think so because they wouldn't stand a chance of what happened to them last season to repeat itself this season.

Galatasaray played much better than we expected in the first match and managed to win convincingly. Juventus were very surprised, but this might only be true for one match. Tonight, Juventus needs to win by scoring a lot of goals. I think they have a high potential to do so, and the return match in Italy is a big advantage for them. If Galatasaray manages to score in this match, their chances of advancing to the next round will be very high; I think it will be very difficult for Juventus to score 4 goals

To be honest, yesterday match between Inter and Bodo was what we call football is unpredictable, who could have thought that Bodo would beat Inter Milan in their own stadium, I was very surprising to the extent that I could not watch the match anymore. They were unable to score until they conceded the two goals in the second half before they scored. I was very shocked if that was the same time Inter Milan that is dominating the Serie A. Bodo have set a record they defeated Inter Milan, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid to qualify for the round of 16, they really tried.

However, Inter Milan have been eliminated from the Champions League now it remain Juventus and Atlanta which will be play today. Both teams lost their first leg, today is the second leg, we are not sure whether the both team are going to give their best to win or equalise the goals they concede in the first leg. I have reduced my expectation from the team because they have disappointed us and they didn’t deserve to reach the next round.

Atalanta started the second leg well. They scored the first goal in the first five minutes. But it is still very difficult for Atalanta to win the match by 3 goals or draw the match by 2 goals. We have not seen any strong attack from Dortmund yet, Atalanta has been very aggressive from the start. Maybe they have come to the field with the responsibility of protecting the honor of Italian clubs. After Napoli and Inter Milan, maybe they are not ready to leave. I have a lot of doubts about Juventus, they still need to win by 4 goals to win the play-offs or they need to win the Tribacer to qualify for the round of 16 after winning the second leg by 3 goals.

Dortmund are still goalless in this leg and it’s almost Halftime but they’re still leading on aggregate, I saw they are putting more pressure lately and the ball is in their possession but earlier Atalanta had more momentum and their attack was really good but they weren’t able to score another goal.

Atalanta got four shots, three on target and one blocked while Dortmund had only one shot on target with another off target…just two shots so far.

Dortmund needs to put more effort and possible get a goal if they really want to advance to the knockout stages but if not, Atalanta are just one goal from equalizing the score on aggregate and if they possible get another then…

Well it's a two sided affair and I would also like to believe that Dortmund will reply back as they are aware that the two goals gap between them isn't just going to cut it especially now that they are playing from away. From the beginning of the game I actually expected both teams to actually score each other and that's the result am hoping on because I know this Dortmund team when it comes to scoring of goals.

Inter Milan really looked like a team that didn't know how to adapt to their opponents' strategy since the first leg. Two consecutive defeats really make us think without a doubt that Inter Milan lost in terms of strategy in this match. In terms of the quality of the players between these two teams, I think Inter Milan is superior. but in terms of the strategy used and the effectiveness of the attack, the answer is that Bodo/Glimt is superior.

With Inter Milan's defeat, the only remaining hope for a Serie A team in the UCL is Atalanta. However, Atalanta also lost in the first leg. Now, in the second leg, they are fighting hard. I think they need two more goals to advance, provided that Atalanta does not concede any more goals.

Normally, I was not expecting Inter Milan to make it out of the play off because from the first leg they lost 3–1, which was a scoreline that needed to be considered before Bodo Glimt would try their best to see that they make it to the round of 16. As they knew that if they could get a 2 goals advantage, then even in the second leg they could score more or at least maintain a draw. In that process, Inter Milan ended up disgracing themselves. I don’t think this season any Serie A team will be able to make it to the round of 16, because Juventus may also not make it. So, Inter Milan should just go and focus more on their domestic league.

What a brilliant performance from Atalanta in the first half. Atalanta was able to double their goal to level up the goal aggregate. Zappacosta shot turned into a goal after a deflection from one of Dortmund defender which made Gregor Kobel unable to stop the ball and it went straight into the roof of the goal post to end the first half 2-0. it will be a really hard game for Juventus. they have to score at least three goals. naturally, they’ll need to play an aggressive and open game but they also have to avoid conceding while doing so.
i think Galatasaray will start with high press, and honestly they should. it’s their only viable game plan. they need to play the style and lineup they are most comfortable with.
