As I expected, Bodo/Glimt and Atletico Madrid managed to eliminate Inter and Club Brugge from the Champions League. My bets were successful. I'm feeling lucky so I might bet money on Benfica eliminating Real Madrid. Rumors say that Mbappe will miss the game due to an injury and Real is showing poor performance at the La Liga losing 1-2 to the rather mediocre team of Osasuna. Alvaro Arbeloa doesn't have what it takes to become a successful coach of such a big football club. The rest of the games seem very easy to be predicted. PSG, Borussia and Galatasaray will eliminate Monaco, Atalanta and Juventus. Those are pretty much sure bets(I guess).

You must be really lucky to have won such bet. I never expected Inter Milan to lose to Bodo/Glimt at home, but this is football and everything is possible.  I must confess that I am really impressed with the way Bodo/Glimt played and how they have qualified to the round of 16 of the Champions League. I think they are a very disciplined and organized team and I will not be surprised if they still advance further in this competition. They have shown that they can compete with the big teams, because they have been able to beat Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan in the Champions League this season. Congratulations to them and I hope they can spring more surprises, because this is what makes the Champions League more interesting.

By the end of today, we will see and know how well the chances are for Benfica, remember, by aggregate, we have Madrid leading by a goal already, so if this game ends in a draw, Benfica is gone and if it ends with Benfica winning by a goal, they will move to penalty shoot out to determine who gets knocked out. So for Benfica to win without much stress, they will need a 2 goals win with Madrid not scoring any or three goals to one of which I do not see happening in Madrid's home, it is going to be a tough one for both teams, but the best side should win.

Inter Milan is a disgrace club and the entire Serie A Club is a disgrace league to football, imagine no any team in Serie A league can make it to the round of 16, Inter Milan got knocked out by Bodo/Glimts, a team that has not been playing any game since November because their league has end, Inter Milan was beaten home and alway and that shows that Bodo/Glimt is not a team that should underestimate, many teams look them as a small team and we can see what they do to them, they beat Manchester City, they beat Atletico Madrid, Draw to Dortmund and beat Inter, they are not a small team and any big team that will play against them should be ready for a big challenge.

Bodo/Glimt was not a weak opponent. In the first round they defeated some of the giants of Europe. Even then, it is a shame that Inter Milan will lose both matches. The best club in Italy is Inter Milan. The team qualified for the champions league final last season. And this season they could not even qualify for the round of 16. This is sad and shameful for Milan fans. Anyway , inter milan will now focus  completely on serie A. If they can keep their performance in serie A somewhat stable, winning this title will not be a very difficult task for them.

Bodo/Glimt really made a big surprise in the two legs played in the Play-off round, on paper they are not comparable to Inter, but the mentality they have is able to eliminate team that have top players in their squad. The Bodo/Glimt players managed to create an extraordinary cohesiveness that allowed them to play more comfortably, their success in securing a place in the round of 16 proves that achieving success does not always depend on large investments to bring in classy players to strengthen the team.

Newcastle also recently achieved a very impressive result, they managed to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in their history. Newcastle journey to this point was not easy, they went through the group stage with good results against clubs like Benfica, Athletic Club, PSV, Leverkusen, and PSG. A landslide aggregate victory over Qarabag in the play-offs means they must be mentally prepared to face a new challenge in the round of 16.

Benfica must learn from the success of Bodo/Glimt and Newcastle if they want to stay in the Champions League. Real Madrid will certainly give their all to maintain their lead, but they can still be beaten if Benfica plays with discipline like in their 4-1 victory over Madrid some time ago.

It was truly an unbelievable result for Inter Milan. I thought they would win, but they lost again and this time at home, in front of their own fans.
They conceded because of an incredible mistake by Akanji and once they let in another goal, the game was completely over for them.
Bodø/Glimt have really turned into a team that has been performing very well over the last two seasons.

The overall score of the match was 5-2 and it seems to me that this does not allow us to reduce the two games to one or two episodes that “decided” something. There wasn't even a red card, Inter simply proved weaker than Bodo in two games. A sad development for Inter and the entire Serie A, which will continue to lose points in the UEFA rankings and its chances of securing five Champions League tickets. I'm very pessimistic to Juve. They were so terrible. So i don't wanna bet on them caused by they gave me no confidence. Let's say three goals victories for them at home are not impossible, but they fought against a team that was totally superior than them.
So i think everyone should not be overthinking about them. It's caused by they will be losing again. They will not able to score, and conceded some stupid goals. They can't resist from Galatasaray's high intensity pressure at upfront.

I get your point but Benfica can't just dominate the game just because Mbappe is going to be absent. There are lots of reasons to be skeptical about this game though, starting from the fact that real Madrid are not in a good form and in the first leg they could only score one goal. Real madrid has home advantage and even if they won't score much goals they are going to play defensively, the worst that can happen is a draw.

What Benfica did as a team was wrong, I can't believe even Mourihno that once coach Madrid was supporting nonsense but then I don't want to see Real Madrid lose this game. I have seen the speculated starter, I have also seen Benfica admin is going crazy with meme on their handles trying to play mind post for the fans, I hope it turn out well for Real Madrid, I'm only supporting them to win after what happened earlier otherwise I don't care who wins on this one.

If a big team like Real madrid is eliminated from the playoffs, it will be  extremely sad for the fans. Although I am not a madrid fan, I still do not  want Real madrid to be eliminated so quickly.

Madrid won at home against benfica. Today's match will be held at the bernabeu. Without a doubt, Real madrid is the favorite at the bernabeu. Also, madrid's  squad is very strong. Now we are waiting to see if Madrid can do well against mourinho's match strategy. If Arbeloa fails to create  a stable strategy and madrid's defense is weak, then they have a chance to lose.

For me this is the biggest shock of the season. Inter lost both times against Bodo and that is really wierd. Inter in the first half yesterday had so many good chance and maybe if they scored the first goal things could have got the other way but that mistake from Inter costed them everything.

I wouldnt be surprised if Bodo passes their next opponent they are really a good team and playing like a team.

This pick is a very good one from my point of view, I saw how they performed in their last fixture, Galatasaray had not mercy on them but got a landslide victory, Juventus typically needs to score at least 4 goals without any from Galatasaray in order for them to knock Galatasaray out, that is almost not possible because Galatasaray is in a good form and not willing to allow such happen even as they will be hosted by Juventus, fair enough, both teams may get a goal at least, but I believe Galatasaray has a better chance to victory.

I doubt that Benfica will be able to eliminate Mighty Real Madrid from the competition that they're used to playing and winning for years. Don't be surprised if Real Madrid score up to three goals in this match even with the absence of Mbappe because we have other good players that can find the back of the net. I'm betting on Madrid to win the game.

I definitely agree with what you have said about Benfica still have an opportunity to qualify for the next round, they were just defeated with a goal and there's still chances for them to qualify if they can be able to score two goals and Real Madrid did not score any. Mbappé absent will be an opportunity for them but know that there are still other players who can still make things happen for Madrid, But remember Vinicius destroy them in their last match and he is still around, so I still don't feel comfortable that mbappé will be absent but they are a lot of good players who can still do the job.

Inter's exit isn't a surprise to me, what I have learnt so far from Inter's exit is that some teams react according to the weight of the opponent they face per time, if inter were to play against a team like Bayern Munich or Barcelona or Real Madrid then perhaps you might see them being so proactive playing with all sense of seriousness as a result of the kind of opponent involved, but in this case, they didn't play like the runners up we saw last season maybe because they thought Bodo Glimt wasn't up to the task but shockingly the Norwegian side beat them twice and knocked them out as well.

If i was told in the dream that a team like Bodo/Glimt will eliminate Inter Milan from the Champions League i would have doubted it and even stake a bet but it is sad to see that they overpowered Inter Milan both in their home and at the home ground of Inter Milan. This is such a big disgrace to Inter Milan fans. This match just made me to reflect back during the Champions League finals last season when Inter Milan woefully lost to PSG by a score of 5:0. They should go home and focus on winning the Serie A, since they couldn't win Bodo/Glimt in the playoff round. Bodo/Glimt on the other hand is trying to be a threat to bigger teams right now because they have done damage to many big teams in the Champions League. Well, let me see how far they can go in the champions league next stage.

If i was told by a seer that Inter Milan would not beat Bodo/Glimt in Italy i would not have agree because if you beat me in your home in the champions league, i will beat you back in my home, but it is a big shame to Inter Milan football club because they played against weak and inexperience team in the playoffs but they still failed to make it to the round of 16. Since Inter Milan could not beat Bodo/Glimt they deserves not to proceed further in the champions league so they will not disgrace their fans more. Bodo/Glimt is already a threat for the big guys in the champions league, and any team that will play against Bodo/Glimt in the round of 16 should take Bodo/Glimt seriously if they do not want to experience the ugly experience Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan had against Bodo/Glimt.

Yesterday it was Inter who went home ...today is time for Juventus and Atalanta to go home which will complete the full trifecta of Italy teams going home early. Now , is this normal ? For Juve and Atalanta I would say yes because they were playing poor football and I won't be surprised if both of them will lose today again.

I also don't have high hopes for Real Madrid either as this UCL season seems wild so far and I'm all for it.  

I agree that this season, Italian teams seem to need to focus entirely on improving themselves. Their chances of progressing are slim and unpromising. This is the harsh reality of the Italian league, where the quality of play has fallen far behind. Inter have begun to backslide and realize they don't deserve to advance.

Madrid has the advantage of playing at home, and they are already leading in the first leg, albeit by a small margin. But this gives great hope for Madrid to advance to the next round. Benfica, with the problems they are facing, might actually play even better. I just hope Madrid also gives their best in the match. The one-goal lead situation can still change. But for Madrid, hopefully, it won't turn into a surprise.

Real Madrid managed to win the away match. But they managed to win by a small margin of 1-0. So it cannot be said that Madrid is in the safe zone. There is no doubt that Real Madrid will get the home advantage. But Madrid's overall performance cannot be said to be stable yet. They lost against Osasuna in the last match. Madrid is not in a very good position with the help of manager Arbeloa. Arbeloa's experience is also less. We also do not know what kind of match strategy he will create in such a high voltage match. Madrid is the favorite in all statistics in this match. But even then the road to victory is not easy for them.

Their performance today will be decisive. They are indeed the favorites, but a one-goal lead will not make them comfortable. The pressure is definitely still looming over the whole team. no team should be underrated anymore as long as they made it to the round of 16 and I imagine Monaco doing the same to PSG, that's if they can manage up and beat the Ligue 1 champions.

You have a point and I'd love to see PSG getting eliminated, but considering that Monaco has a lot of missing players due to injuries and suspension, I have a feeling PSG is going to demolish them in the return leg ^{[if they were a bit more clinical in the first leg, they would've done it already]}, so I'm going for a PSG win as the safest bet ^{[BTTS/over 3.5 could also be good]}.

They could win Monaco due to injuries that affect the team but I'd love to see Monaco fight like a wounded lion, using the available players to get their chances into the next round. It could happen and if PSG was good enough I expected them to take advantage of the issue Monaco have and watch how PSG played in the first leg, they were suppose to dominate the game but instead they struggled to get that win and for tonight's game I expect Monaco to come all out and get the job done.

I hope Monaco surprises us all and puts on a fantastic match, but I think the chances of that happening are very low. Of course, we have to admit that possibilities always exist. We saw this once again in the Inter match yesterday. Although Inter alone led statistically for most of the match, Bodo won in the end. So yes, Monaco still has a chance, provided they play in the right way. I would honestly like to see such a match.

Of course it will be low because PSG squad look solid and are more productive than Monaco and to top it all they are champions in both the champions league and the Ligue 1 so Monaco are the underdogs but we expect them to put in a much better fight to prove many wrong. If you talk about the Inter game I'll still say I'm surprised at the Italian side, it wasn't how many of us expected the game to end but Bodo shocked the world by knocking Inter out. You know we can't compare the Inter Milan Bodo/Glimt game to this very encounter PSG vs Monaco, this game is like the French game and Monaco shouldn't allow PSG to beat them more this season.

Just need some final touches in today's match before we move on to the next round of UCL, some are already confirmed & some other teams will still be fighting today.
