Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle have crashed out in the Round of 16 - while Liverpool and Tottenham are still fighting. I do not want to see Liverpool fail to reach the quarter-finals - in fact, I can find no reason why they should give up after what they did in the first half. A beautiful goal from Dominik Szoboszlai lifted our spirits - yet as the first half drew to a close, we were still struggling to double our lead. I thought one extra goal would help the team control the game better - but I have to admit, that is something difficult.

Galatasaray's defense is solid and strong - difficult to breach but if the players remain calmer and do not rush, the goals will come. This is a high tension match - there can be no errors in the back line and the players must be able to provide balance across all lines.

Liverpool have started the whole game beautifully and if they continue with this motive then for sure in the second half they will definitely find a way to make the goals atleast two and with the scoreline heading to two nil I think the whole atmosphere of the game will then change as Galatasaray will then have no choice but to come out and attack to see if they can reciprocate the goals to get a chance too ar qualifying.

Galatasaray's first shot came in the 45th minute with a header from Sallai, but it was very ineffective. If Liverpool scores an early goal in the second half, the score could be different. A substitution for Salah and Gakpo is necessary.
I can say that Salah is nearing the end of his time at Liverpool. In his current state, it's impossible for him to play in the Premier League. He might transfer to the Saudi Arabian league next year.

I know that Liverpool will win Galatasaray, but they need to prevent the match from entering extra time, they should score more goals in the second half and secure a place in the quarter finals. If Tottenham was a team that has a resilient mentality, they should be able to score 3 goals against Atletico Madrid and play in extra time but i don't think Atletico will watch them score 3 goals without also scoring at least 1 goal to help them qualify for the next phase of the Champions League so they will not risk this match.

Liverpool are leading and they are supposed to score more goals from what I see and win eventually the game. The other Premier League team, Tottenham Hotspur are leading with 1 goal but they are still two goals difference on aggregate. Atletico Madrid is not fully into the game.
For Barcelona and Bayern Munich, we all know how things will be in their games. Newcastle United was disappointing and Atalanta hopeless.

i think the liverpool vs. galatasaray match is the best game of the night. even though the score is tied right now, liverpool is playing the better game. it’s an incredibly enjoyable match to watch. liverpool created numerous key chances and converted a penalty, but they could only score one goal in the first half. i think we might see a goal or two in the second half. i think noa lang and sane will come on. i don’t know why they weren’t in the starting lineup.

The game will start afresh in the second half because now both team are on level with goals, Liverpool has started well i wish they should also end well. Mo Salah penalty miss in the late minute of the first half would have changed the atmosphere if he had scored the goal at least the first half would have ended 2-0. Galatasaray will be out now that Liverpool is winning their thoughts and believe was that they can defend the game till the end but they forgot that this is Anfield.

While I was writing that I don't belive that Tottenham can not conceed in this game, Atletico scored.

It seems likely but, I don't agree with the Tottenham idea that Tottenham will ever tie with the aggregate because, Athletico Madrid had already equalize the Tottenham's advantage by a goal from Alvarez. Even at home, Tottenham just can't make it happen. That leaves just two EPL teams in the Champions League.

Ekitike has just made the score 2-0 and it seems like more is coming, an assist from Salah and a constructed pass from Szoboszlai all led to this Liverpool lead. Sometimes when I look at the season Szoboszlai is having in this seasons campaign, it's quite baffling. It feels like he is carrying the team all by himself and probably with Allison.

That was some goal from Szoboszlai, the angle and accuracy was something else, I didn't even know the ball was in until I started seeing them celebrating that was when I knew it was a goal, the reply made me see the goal clearly and it was marvellous. Liverpool are all over Galatasaray in this match and I'm wondering if it's this same Liverpool that has been struggling or it's another, so they could play like this and they have been having poor runs of results. Szoboszlai is on fire and he would have had another goal just few minutes after opening the scoring but the Galatasaray goalkeeper was alert to punch off the ball that was heading into the back of the net. Liverpool are attacking and if they continue like this in the second half, they will go through as they will score 2 or more goals if Galatasaray keeps playing like this and Liverpool keeps on attacking them.

I don't know what happened to Newcastle in the second half that they lost their bearing to the point of conceding four goals without replying back any. The second half was in a big favor for Barcelona as they were in full charge of the game and got four goals easily. This is a big win for Barcelona at home because they dismantled Newcastle.

Or we can say that Barcelona approached the match with a more aggressive and tactical team this time, scoring such huge amounts of goals combined, this is one of the matches in the Champions League with the highest amount of goals scored, and Newcastle was overwhelmed tonight.

If you watched this match from the first half, you will question how this Barcelona vs. Tottenham game managed to end with a scoreline of 7-2, seeing how Tottenham Hotspur started by equalizing a few minutes after Barça scored. The first few minutes into the first half were just like a clash of the titans between the two teams. This  isn't just a humiliation to the Tottenham football club but a disgrace to the English league. Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Tottenham all suffered a humiliating defeat home/away in this season's Champions League competition for a very long time.

Am watching this game and I must confess that it's actually a very interesting game to watch tonight. This is because the two sides knows what is at stake in this game. It a winner takes it all. The first half was much more tougher and interesting to watch compared to this second half. This was because all the two teams came out to play and score goals in the first half.


But Liverpool has raised their standards in this match as they had been able to score three goals, this is the type of performance that we expected from Liverpool in the first leg but, unfortunately Liverpool didn't live up to the expectations from their fans. This season Liverpool form has been something else. Going into the quarter finals I expect that, Liverpool should better improve on their performance.

Sallah has scored the 4th goal for Liverpool with an outstanding strike to the last vorner of the goal post. Liverpool is really lively in this game. Especially, in the second half because scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes shows they came out well prepared for the second half. It's game over for Galatasaray. No magic can save them.

I think the only thing that is surprising is the number of goals conceded here by Newcastle after starting well to comeback but we can't ignore the fact that in the moment of lapses Barcelona are top teams with their attacking prowess and that's what we saw tonight.

I don’t think people are surprised that Barcelona won the match, but the most surprising part is the numbers of goals which they scored in the match. I don’t know what happened to Newcastle in the second half of the match, they played average football in the first half of the match, and they were able to score two goals in the first half of the match, but their performance was terrible in the second half of the match.

Honestly Newcastle were just humiliated in the match, and I never expected them to concede so many goals in the match, 7 goals is so much. Congrats to Barcelona they have been promoted to the next round of the champions league after successfully humiliating Newcastle today.

Salah made a mistake by losing the penalty, at that moment the opportunity seems as the only chance left to gain higher chance. Liverpool already is qualified, the last three goals scored during the second half shows Galatasaray can’t equalize, at least Salah scored as expected. Galatasaray will be so disappointed reason why it’s good to always play best during the first leg mostly when playing at home and now Liverpool is not missing any chance against Galatasaray at Anfield probably more goals is still certain.
