We must admit that Real madrid is not in a good  shape. At the same time, Arbeloa has not yet been able to stabilize madrid. Madrid's overall performance is still very erratic.

If Arsenal can play aggressively at the beginning of the match and score a goal and strengthen their defensive strategy for the rest of the match, they will win the match.

Sporting lost 3-0 against Bodo/glimt in  the first leg of the round of 16. But unexpectedly they won 5 -0 in the home match and qualified for the quarter finals. So Arsenal will have  to play very carefully at sporting's home. If arsenal wins at sporting's home , I am sure they will be able to qualify for the semi finals easily.

They've lost two trophies in consecutive games before and after the finals, could this be a sign that Arsenal could end this season without a trophy? I think I'll join in the doubt about Arsenal being beaten Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, if they could.be beaten by Southampton in a very important FA Cup match, it seems they're out of form which is an Advantage to Sporting.

Even Real Madrid result yesterday was a big disgrace, how will real Madrid who is in a second position in the table lost against Mallorca that I don't even know there position in the La Liga table, that result had increased the chance of Barcelona winning the La Liga this season because there is no much time to meet up with I guess 7 points I mean it's really much and I don't know if they did that because of the champions league and if that's the reason I hope it is worth it.

We will not call this a disgrace, these are norms in football, it must not always happen the way we want it,  it happens that bigger teams does loose to smaller teams and then they may later try to make up for it, the only greate concern about their Madrid loss is because it was a vital game that was supposed to get them a pursuit in the league this season, if they had won and continually maintaining the chase behind Barcelona, most persons would have seen them to be making progress already and not giving up on them.

Their attack is not bad but there are still things missing for them that make the situation not very good but for Bayern at the Bernabeu I expect more from them.

Bayern are definitely one of the stronger clubs right now and they are the only club in major competitions to have scored 100 goals in domestic competitions alone and if you add in the other competitions they are in right now their goal productivity is unquestionable but the Champions League comes down to mentality and I still believe in Madrid for this especially when they play at home.

They suffered a defeat in their last league match, and that loss might have caused problems with the players' focus on the Champions League. I don't think Arsenal need to try hard to win away from home, a draw is a good result, especially in this UCL competition, where there are no weak opponents. Teams that have already reached the quarterfinals are always tough to beat, Sporting also certainly won't waste any opportunity this year, and when Arsenal play at home, it's their time to play, so I think Arsenal approach will be similar to the one they had against Leverkusen.

They can reach the final quartel it indicates that they are strong enough to compete here, so don't underestimate it just because Sporting is not the same as Arsenal who are popular and get more support this season, I saw Arsenal lose to Southampton and that might also be done by Sporting in the match later, but if betting, don't expect too much because basically the assessment must remain objective and see the opportunities measured by existing data, Arsenal are more trusted to win even though they still want opportunities that can be utilized by Sporting.

In such fixtures, you could always depend on both sides to give their best of performance because it's the quarter finals and none of the teams will be willing to be humiliated after getting this far. Bayern Munich are interested in winning the UCL and so is Real Madrid, for the German team, they are already on course to win at least two major trophies, the UCL and the bundesliga whereas Real Madrid only has the UCL to chase after losing to Mallorca in their last league game giving Barcelona more advantage in the title race.

I think you’re slightly exaggerating, because in the cup match against Southampton, Arteta rested the main squad players, and some bench players were used in that game. Of course, that’s not an excuse for Arsenal’s defeat, but I think Arteta currently has two priority competitions, the English Premier League and the Champions League. Everything else is secondary for him. From the cup final where they lost to City to yesterday’s match against Southampton, all of that is secondary.

Arsenal plays in one of the biggest leagues in the world which cannot be compared to the Portuguese league where Sporting Lisbon play in, by ratings the premiership is far ahead of the Portuguese league and if you consider Arsenal's performance this season then it is only natural to tip Arsenal over Sporting in this fixture except there is any other reason to think so, I will stick with the English side.

As much as anything can happen in football, I will always root for Arsenal over Sporting Lisbon, not because they play in the Premier League, but in the term of quality and experience, they surpass Sporting Lisbon in every way. My love for paybacks wants to see Viktor Gyökeres get his payback after being disrespected and treated unfairly by the president of Sporting Lisbon. I want him to knock them out of the Champions League competition as a payback for breaking the man to man agreement he had with the management at Sporting.

I noticed that a lot of people are eager for this particular fixture between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon not just because of the teams involved but just to watch what Gyokeres performance against his former club side would be like. I think I would as well love to see what he can do on that night as he leads the Arsenal attack. But also, let not neglect the possibility of his former teammates in Sporting cramping him down as they may know some of his weaknesses.

I'm eager to watch the Arsenal vs Sporting CP match but not because I want to see how Gyokeres will perform against his formal club but because I want to see how Arsenal will play against Sporting CP since a lot of people believe that Arsenal will beat Sporting CP and qualify for the semi final.
