What a shame, the second half had just started but Real Madrid conceded a second goal.
Bayern Munich really had a good plan at the start of each half, but unfortunately their plans in the first half were thwarted. They were quite successful in the second half and this put Real Madrid under even more pressure, while Bayern Munich continued to press quite well. If Bayern continue to play like this, then I'm sure they will score a third goal and finish this match with a win. It's getting more and more interesting and frankly it's frustrating to see how frustrated the players are when they fail to score when they have good chances.

Well, that's not the case. Mbappe has been able to clear their team from the clean sheet list, but I doubt they still have any aura left to press dying-minute counter attacks. Honestly, football can be really tricky sometimes. Harry Kane got injured and I thought Bayern's attack would be loose as hell, but look who scored 2 goals first? It's crazy! As expected, it's been a very tough match even until this minute, but let's see how it ends.

I expected a lot in this game, and I got it all. What a good game. Both sides playing ball from one end of the field to the other. Bayern Munich didn't come to look at the Bernabeu stadium. They came to dominate and take a lead to Allianz Arena. Real Madrid on the other hand hasn't being too bad, they just can't take their chances because Neuer has been brilliant. The game just ended, and Bayern is definitely going back home with a goal lead. It's now going to be way tougher for Real Madrid at this point because Allianz Arena is not a play ground for comebacks. Bayern are just so good this season.

And as for Arsenal, they got a late goal by kai havertz in the late minutes. It was a tough one for them but that one goal lead isn't bad after all. A lot of people question them after losing two games in a role.  Congrats to all winners, though they have a second leg to play next week.

Well, Bayern did their job, it should have been 3-1 in the end as at that last 2-minute foul was clear as the sky is blue and would have sealed the game but, well it is what it it is.

Now, Arsenal pulling the miracle goal in the 90+1 minute to save face, glad I didn't take any chance on them or the result, when the team doesn't play at home it usually ends in disaster.

I found some interesting statistics for Real Madrid vs Bayern matches at the Santiago Bernabéu. It turns out that Bayern hasn't been able to beat Real on their home turf for 25 years!

Real Madrid struggled against Bayern Munich and the match has ended in 1:2 fulltime. Bayern Munich has broken the long-term unbeaten home record that Real Madrid has kept whenever both teams meet. Bayern Munich is at advantage since the second leg will be played in Germany, they should just get a draw when they meet for the second leg but with the energy of Bayern Munich today i don't think they will want to settle for a draw in the second leg, they will try to win Real Madrid both home and away.
      Arsenal managed to break the deadlock in 90+1 minutes as Kai Havertz saved the night for Arsenal and sealed the win. They will be playing confidently when they meet again at the Emirates Stadium. What a night in the UCL quarter finals today.

Mbappé is no different from a player who hasn’t fully matured yet. The move he made while playing for the French national team—asking his teammate to take the captain’s armband from Kante—was the first sign that led me to think so.
He wants to be respected, but a leader’s attitude isn’t about asking; it’s about action.

I'm also surprised how Upamecano miss that his chance, Bayern Munich controlled the possession throughout the first half and created a lot of chances, their strong performance helped them to take the lead and currently the scoreline is 0-1. Real Madrid defense is not strong as Bayern Munich defense, I'm surprised how they allowed those passes that lead to goal by Luis Diaz. Honestly Real haven't played as I expected from them but there's still hope in the second half, I'm sure they'll perform better and get the victory.

Bayern Munich as take the lead and Madrid need to win the second leg if they want to qualify to the next round of the Champions League.  Madrid have miss alot of chances in this game they should have take the lead by Bayern league. Diaz scored before the end of the first half. Bayern Munich's first goal came so easily through passing. With the same passing game, it's impossible for Real Madrid to score. Arsenal performed very well today they really wanted to win the match and they put in their best thank God for Martinelli. He made a very good run in that position he was and then passed the ball that led to the goal that was a wonderful assist from Martinelli. This is how Arsenal are meant to be playing they should be forcing and having this determination to win, I saw that Martinelli was eager to do something in order for them to win the match and that was why he made that run and passed the ball so well. congratulations to Arsenal.

You are absolutely correct, Bayern Munich missed a lots of chances both first half and second half and the second half was very interesting because Real Madrid tempo was very high and they tried to equalize the game but they were so unfortunate. I will say the second half was actually 50/50 because both side were countering and Musiala could not convert about 2-3 big chances, let me just believe it was because he came back from injury that was the reason for those mistakes. I'm afraid Real Madrid might come with ful force next leg.

Realmadrid only came to their senses after the second goal from Bayern.. I enjoyed watching the entire 40 minutes after the goal, it was very intense, but I think Real Madrid really took control of the game for almost all that time.

They used both full attacks and counterattacks.. so many shots off target from both sides, wasted chances from both sides, and so on.

Bayern was better, but the game could have ended in a draw tonight.

That's what I call last minute magic. A great first touch and finishing from Havertz. Even 0-0 would be a good result, but Havertz's late goal was a real bonus tonight. Sporting managed the game well until the end, but last minute goal crushed them. It was already tough to go to London without scoring and now they have to find a goal there. You’re right that the second leg will be tough for both teams. Real Madrid will do everything they can to make a comeback and will take every necessary risk. They’re always the natural favorites in the CL but this time their luck might run out. Defensive wise Real Madrid haven't been able to save themselves tonight and now attacking wise they have been wasteful with Vinicius Junior missing a solid chance.

This is what I spoke before the game, if they can't defend properly and make good use of their chances they will end up losing and now this might not just be at Home tonight but Away in the second leg.

Bayern Munich really shocked me with this win against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabue stadium in a Champions League quarter finals first leg game. Real Madrid players would be gutted by this defeat and I’m sure they never saw it coming too. The second leg is really going to be a very tough one as Real Madrid will want to go all out to get a win against Bayern Munich in the alians arena. Though Real Madrid did all they could to win equalize this game after surprisingly going 2:0 down at half time but Bayern held on to their play and defended till the very last minute where it ended 1:2 in favour of Bayern Munich.
