This Bayern Munich is really too strong for this Real Madrid team. At times, Real Madrid are almost unrecognisable; they seem like a pale imitation of the team they used to be. Only the occasional moment of brilliance from Valverde, Mbappé and Vinícius can make the difference.

I believe that whoever scores the first wins this tie. Whoever obtains that early psychological advantage brings it into Munich. Mbappe in the champions league is not the same. As though he is another man in the game. And when he gets going early at the Bernabeu with the crowd... I know not man.

Bayern could be the superior team at this point in time. Might be. But the best team does not necessarily win in April in Europe. Never has.

At least 1 goal on aggregate is not too big a deal although it will definitely be a bit difficult for Madrid as they will be playing away in the second leg. There were plenty of chances but Bayern didn't come prepared, their players were solid and Neuer also showed his class as to why he can still play for a big club and be the club's first choice despite his age.
Although Madrid lost, in the second half I was quite entertained with the way they played unlike the first half which took some time to settle into a rhythm.  With this result Bayern have stepped 1 foot on semi final but the second leg is still uncertain even though they will definitely be the favorites but it could be an uncontrollable situation.

Other match Arsenal almost went home with a draw but Kai's late goal saved them and earned them a win against Sporting.

On the contrary, they did what most people expected them to do which was why they were given smaller odd that Real Madrid. A lot of us bet on them to win hence their winning gave us money. Bayern Munic is a better team than Real Madrid this season as they have a better attacking force that is extremely difficult to stop. Real Madrid is even lucky that the match ended only in one goal difference and not one goal to three that people predicted it would end.

Finally, Arsenal was able to get an away victory to rnd the game 1-0. The goal was scored by Harvertz at the first minute of additional time. Harvertz goal made the difference in the scoreline and seperates both teams.

It's sure that Arsenal will advance to the semifinals because the second leg will be played in Emirates and I expect them to score more goals easily unlike, this game that they found it difficult to score till the last minute.

After 23 home games Arsenal finally ended the unbeaten run for Sporting Lisbon and with this win, Every team in the top five from the Premier League will be able to qualify for the Champions league competition next season. Chelsea and Liverpool should be grateful to Arsenal for that.
I envisioned the game ending as a full-time draw,  these Sporting Lisbon players failed to be decisive and squeeze the chances they have.

Well Bayern Munich has been the better team this season, and also the favorites to win the Champions League. I knew that this Madrid team can't overcome Bayern Munich, their form has dropped unlike the others season we they were top notch. This win is a big advantage for Bayern Munich,  they only needed to draw or win. Now they will just go to Allianz arena to finish it. While watching this match I noticed that Bayern Munich playing pattern was possession and holding, that why they able to out play Real Madrid players who relied on long ball and counter. Teams like Bayern Munich can withstand lots of counter. Real Madrid should just focus on next season, there's nothing left for them.

This is a big match, the only chance for Real Madrid to survive in the next match when they visit Munich is to get a winner advantage in this home game cause they can go there in Germany and settle for a draw to have it to the next round.

With what am watching presently in this early first half, the game is balanced though Bayern had a few pressing shots but both teams are cautious with the ball, cause conceding a goal can cost them fortune and kill their opportunity to finish with a point or all.

Unfortunately, Bayern has taken the lead is not good for the home team Madrid. They must have to cancel that Bayern lead coming back into the second half.

The second is going to be an interesting one because it feels like Real Madrid are starting to wake up, especially after that goal. They were losing possession aggressively to Bayern but the last five minutes showed that that lead will be questioned as Real Madrid will score a goal.

When the second 45 minutes begun, it was as though Real Madrid were going to equalise the first goal by Luis Diaz, with how they introduced themselves into the game but then Bayern Munich regained the ball possession and doubled the goal to my surprise.

For now, all hope is not lost with the 1-2 defeat crush, it is just a one goal difference and Real Madrid may go to Germany and get a shocking victory, but it is not going to be a cake-walk.

That goal from Diaz was just Trents fault, TAA is been major trash since he joined Real Madrid and it's really ugly seeing him play like an average player.

It was all a mistake. TAA do not seem to be formalised yet with the Madrid football and it is telling on his performance but step by step he will get a grip and tune to great form.

Arsenal was lucky to get a win from away there play wasn't okey for me, Sporting has more chances of scoring but couldn't put any in the net. Bayern Munich can be very determined at home and they still have more chances of qualifing if they never underestimate Real Madrid because 1 goal on aggregate isn't much 1 zero win from Real Madrid will get them play an extra time which can also possibly end in penalty which any side can qualify, for now what will happen in the second leg still remain uncertain.

Today Real Madrid lost in an impressive way, and at home. Things always go wrong for Real Madrid when they reach these final stages. I don't know what's wrong with them, I don't know what kind of game they want to play, I don't know how they can't win. Bayern is good, but Real Madrid still lost in a way I don't understand. This game is just making me laugh because I expected Madrid to use this game to maybe put a smile on the faces of their fans after last game they played against Mallorca, is just tiring to watch Madrid play like they don't know what's at stake at this stage of the competition, too slow and dull, that's what Bayern Munich need right now to cause so many problems for Madrid. The defense of Madrid like I said before is too weak and I'm still expecting more mistakes from them. Honestly the Madrid side don't have anything special to show in this game but I hope the second half would be more exciting with better actions.

Your expectation is so high, because I don't think Real Madrid can be able to beat this current Bayern Munich team at Santiago Bernabeu even if they play five time. Real Madrid should have won Mallorca and put pressure on Barcelona because they will be knock out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich. Yes, the defense of Real Madrid is too weak, so I am expecting Bayern Munich to score more goals in the second half.

Yes, the reason for my expectations to be that high is because of the way they have been maybe winning this game would make the fans forget about the games they have lost couple with the fact that they are playing at home and is the champions league game too. Mallorca disgraced Madrid, they played like is not Madrid but one of those smaller side in the La Liga. Back to tonight's game, Bayern Munich played like the Bayern Munich we know, always creating chances and it went well but one thing they did that I felt went off their style of play, they relaxed and allowed Madrid to see more of the ball and again, what happened to Arbeloa that he kept Bellingham on the bench for too long? With what that guy can offer is not ok to bring him at 62'mins, it should have happened very early who knows what would have happened? A very good player who came on and changed the game completely, it not for him the front line of Madrid would have continued running like headless chickens...I hope the second leg both teams would come out with everything they've got and I don't expect Bayern to defend much next week.

Honestly I expected more from today’s games. Atleast more goals than we got, Bayern Munich tried they dominated the game very well Madrid just sat back and waited for the counters….  Bayern aside from winning also made history winning Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
The Arsenal game was a bit tight and tough, Sporting gave their all but unfortunately Arsenal through Martinelli and Havertz got a winning goal. Gabriel Martinelli always comes through when it matters most.

The save by David Raya made the difference the scoreline would have been 1,1 by now. This is the reason why Raya is the best goal keeper in the league, and in Europe. I did not envisioned the game to end in a full time draw, I envisioned the game to end with Arsenal winning.

Aston Villa or Nottingham Forest have to win the Europa league for the champions league slot next season to be up to 6 slot. An automatic qualification for Aston Villa if they win, while the top 5 will progress.
