They were serious, the only problem they had was because after scoring they went back to defend that goal, instead of still being offensive to PSG, that defensive pattern made Arsenal scatter their initial game plan. In the second half, after that PSG goal, they were able to at least step forward a little, which to an extent helped them to still sustain the game till this extra time. I just hope Arsenal don't play defensive again because it's obviously not in their best interest, but offensively will help balance the game.

It is true that Arsenal's strength is the defence and we can accuse them of parking the bus. We can also say that their strength is in some controversial set pieces, but we shouldn't disrespect them. These guys played unbeaten throughout the champions league fixtures this season. They are really the heroes of this season's champions league.

However, someone must win and this time around, PSG decided to win twice and I am happy for them and wish that next season England should win this title. Football is a beautiful thing to behold.

I don't know why Gabriel was allowed to take the last penalty when he hardly score with his foot. He is only good with a header and almost all his goals that he has scored for Arsenal so far, was with a header. When I saw him step forward to take the last penalty was when I gave up on Arsenal because I knew that he wouldn't be able to score the penalty.

Even the greatest players of all time miss penalties too on important matches and get shaded for it, there is nobody who is more deserving to play a penalty; its a matter of technique and luck. When I saw Arsenal's lineup I was confused on what Arteta was trying to do but I later understood that he was trying to score first then defend all through but they couldn't cause PSG attackers were too good and committed their defense, i respect Arsenal for reaching the finals they really utilized their defense very well but luck wasn't on their side.
 Asides losing the game, Arsenal still remains the best team in the Champions League, they went unbeaten till the finals and even drew but were unfortunate in the penalties, well people won't recognize who won the trophy than who went unbeaten in the tournament till the finals.

As for Arsenal this is not a ULC season to win, it is a season to learn, and work on their attack, there was no goal coming from them if not a mistake from PSG defender

Arsenal have been truly exceptional defensively this season. Arsenal defense proved to be very solid in the final allowing them to hold off PSG even to a penalty shootout.

From start to finish PSG struggled to break down Arsenal defense. Their striker less system wasn't effective making their attacking flow less threatening in the final third as Arsenal were disciplined in closing down space on both flanks and limiting PSG attacking options. However, Enrique skill is also very clever as he is a manager who is adept at calculating. PSG struggled in this match but they also played at a more controlled tempo which was partly due to his decision to minimize transitions making Arsenal direct balls ineffective on the counterattack. Congratulations to PSG for winning their second consecutive trophy and I'm curious to see what Mbappe is thinking right now.

On the other hand Arsenal also had to postpone their first UCL trophy which is very painful for Arsenal. They've failed in the Champions League final twice despite making a strong start to the season from the knockout stages to reaching the final undefeated. They ultimately lost in the final. They lost to Barcelona in 2005/06, and they've now suffered the same fate, losing to PSG. Two incredible journeys, two finals and two endings that have left Arsenal with deeply painful scars.

When the game reached penalty shootout it was now anyone's game and anything could happen so I really don't blame any of the players that missed their penalty because it's not as easy as we see it because the tension and the pressure of the game would make anyone flip and that's exactly what we saw here. Overall performance from arsenal was fair as they tried and held PSG till the final end of 90mins.

Yes they won but their offensive performance wasn’t that great as many anticipated, they couldn’t even score Arsenal from open play.

I think Arsenal wasn’t lucky and they weren’t also Clinical, they had several opportunities to die the game but so many misplaced passes and pressure.
PSG did their part as well as Arsenal but at the end PSG got it!

Arsenal poured their hearts out onto the pitch and they gave it their all, it was just ruined by one cynical mistake and PSG took the advantage.
They gave us proper Vintage finals not the one we witnessed last season. PSG for all their attacking prowess couldn’t penetrate that defence.

Many people thought PSG would win the cup more comfortably but Arsenal showed everyone that they didn't reach the final by chance. They did their absolute best to win the cup but it wasn't enough. Still, the season ended beautifully for them, at least they won the Premier League after many long years. I swear I'm not disappointed in the outcome of the final, Arsenal did everything they have in their power to win this match but it's not in their power but never the less, shame on Premier League and shme on Laliga. Paris Saint Germaine have always been the favourites to win this year's UEFA Champions League competition and after beating Bayern Munich in that high-intensity semi final, it became clearer why they're the the with the highest chances of winning today's game. But looking at at Arsenal, they've actually come a long way with very impressive defensive records this campaign. I wanted Arsenal to win and I feel sad that they couldn't win it at the end even when I'm not a fan of the club.

Its true Gabriel looks like a culprit to miss a penalty kick but sometimes you can't blame the players who step up in tensed situations like this. Not all players have the confidence to step up in games like this and only the confident players step up so I blame other players in the team that didn't step up to take it from him, players like Timber and Zubimendi, they seems good with their legs but didn't step up. The coach can't just pick who to play when they clearly are not confident enough to play, so I think Gabriel shouldn't be blamed, I blame others who didn't step up.

Honestly that was a very poor penalty but I understand it happens in football. He could have gone for a low one instead but he clearly went for power instead of accuracy first. Anyways I'm glad peace was restored. Chelsea fan and out
