Milan could afford to be second place, they were terrible last year so this years second place is great for them, in fact even if they finish third place that would be great.

Inter is not the same, they lost at the finals of UCL, they lost the league second place due to a few bad games, and they lost the cup as well, last year was "right there but not quite" for them, this year they really wanted the title so being second place wouldn't be ok for them and they managed to look like they will do better at league.

Both Inter and Milan have had an excellent season so far; it hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations placed on them – particularly Inter – but all things considered, it hasn’t been a disappointing season.
I’d like to point out that, up until December, there were five teams in the title race, so the other teams – such as Napoli, Roma and Juventus – have fallen short of expectations.

Inter need to get out of this so relaxed mood. They couldn't win for 3 weeks straight in the league! This isn't giving good signals thinking of their title objective. They need to play much better.

Their next opponent is Roma at Giuseppe Meazza. Nothing below a win would be acceptable. Roma aren't a great offense team. I don't think they can answer Inter's solid offense in the same way under normal conditions.

Unfortunately, these are two matches that are difficult to predict.
Inter are in very poor form at the moment and their strikers are struggling to find the back of the net; moreover, Lautaro Martinez is sorely missed.

Milan, on the other hand, have been in excellent form of late and, even though they are playing away from home, they could well secure a victory.

Yes, the quality of Serie A is questionable this season, the league is not as exciting as other seasons. There is no competition between the top teams, the old strong teams are asleep. When teams like Juventus, Atalanta, AC Milan and Napoli are far from the top, the league does not really feel exciting.

Years ago there be players who consistently scored 25 or more goals a season (immobile, ronaldo, ibrahimovic, totti, inzaghi), this year there is Lautaro Martínez with just 14 goals, and then thr void. 2nd Douvikas on 11 goals, 3rd Davis on 10 goal; players who, in the Premier League, would not plays 10 games a season.

After international break, Milan against Napoli and difficult match but the same with Inter Milan against AS Roma, I think need to wait the result upcoming match from both team if each other fail get three points Inter has advantage has 8 points remaining. But don't forget possibility Napoli will destroy the Milan's dominance if both team can't perform well and Napoli win all matches left.
The three top standings Inter, Milan and Napoli actually still has difficult match and the team can get three points from all matches left this season actually is the winner for this season, Inter and Milan can't guarantee as the winner if inconsistent at 8 matches remaining.

I think the same thing about fixture difficulties for Inter and Milan. Inter have a bit easier work to do than them. Above all we should take a fact into account about Milan this season.

They aren't better than Inter as for the games against smaller competitors. They have lost so many points in such games while Inter have played with minimum loss of points.

This is why I still believe Milan are likely to stumble in unexpected games.

Inter has given up on the season by the looks of it, so I understand why people think that this could be good time for Milan to strike back and try to get the top spot. But the gap was too much and even with all those missing chances they still couldn't do it.

This is why I doubt that it is going to be possible for Milan to get the leader spot. Inter may not look that great, and I understand they may not even finish the season very strong, but they had a great season so far which gave them a lot of points gap and even with losses and draws, it is still not that smaller. So Inter can just play along the season without care, will get a few wins here and there anyways and we are going to see them be a lot different.

Inter was on a revenge mission this season, last year they had a bad season with both losing UCL finals and also second place at league with a small gap, so they almost won two things and yet instead won nothing.

With the depth of the current squad, Fabregas's achievements are truly extraordinary, especially since the team only earned promotion to Serie A last season. Leading Como to a top-five finish by the end of the season is truly remarkable. He is a manager with excellent team management skills and I'm sure that when he's in a team with more qualified players, he will achieve even greater success, considering that he has now managed to turn Como into a much more respected team.

Fiorentina has had a difficult season and if they fail to achieve better results, they could face relegation at the end of the season. Changes are necessary for the coach, as Fiorentina will face much tougher opponents in the coming matches. These changes are crucial if they are to avoid relegation next season.

Wow, then you have missed so much this season, their have needs some good, entertaining and unbelievable games in the Italian league this seasons, this is a very good season in the Italian football. Well to beat Roma at home won’t be easy for Inter but then matches like are won by champions so I expect them to win also unless maybe their is a Chance for them not to win the league this season.

Also AC Milan will be playing Napoli immediately  after the international break, it going to be a good match, both teams are now having that hope that they can get their hand on the scudetto this season after that recent poor runs of games from inter Milan. For me I’m not missing this Milan Vs Napoli match to anything.

The interesting thing is that Fiorentina still doesn't sack Paolo Vanoli for this horrible season... They are literally on the verge of relegation area!

He has managed the team for 28 matches until this point. Only 10 of them resulted in wins and they lost nearly the half amount.

This team needs a much better manager to save themselves from this poor condition. It would be a pity to see them in the Serie B.

Milan would be happy to even finish in third place this season because based on their performance this season I don't think they deserve to finish at such position, I would have rather prefer a team like AS Roma to finish in that position because they have been somewhat proactive than Milan in terms of stability. I think the return of Allegri to Milan has been very helpful for Milan's progress for the remainder of this season.
